• Why we like it: There are two main reasons this beast of a Wi-Fi 7 router caught my eye. First, it's a tri-band unit, operating on the 2.4, 5, and 6Ghz bands with all the benefits of Wi-Fi 7, like MLO. Second, it's designed for multi-gig setup. So, to the rear are three 2.5GbE ports and two 5GbE ports, including a WAN for hooking up your fibre connection.
Why we recommend it
This device has all the core features I'd expect to see from a Wi-Fi 7 router at a reasonable price. A lot of Wi-Fi 7 units are dual-band, and that's fine for maximising speeds if your device uses Wi-Fi 5 or 6. But the third band here leaves a dedicated channel for Wi-Fi 6e and 7 devices without slowing the others down.
Notably, it's a multi-gig router with three 2.5GbE LAN ports and two 5GbE ports to the rear (one WAN for your modem or ONT connection; one for high-speed gaming or a NAS connection). Again, I see a lot of routers, even those more expensive than this, that only have 1GbE ports. So, this is a better deal if you're paying for more than 1Gbps from your ISP.
