Live coverage
Forza Horizon 6 revealed
Yep, following that leak earlier today Forza Horizon 6 has finally been made official and yep, it's coming to Japan.
We're seeing some Mount Fuji and a 2026 release date.
It sounds like we're about to segue into the Forza Horizon 6 reveal...
Matt Booty on screen now, talking about some significant Xbox achievements this year and highlighting some major upcoming games.
And here are some new pics showing off traditional Japanese aesthetics combined with the setting's 2035 tech.
Now some Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 maps, many of which will be set in Japan.
Yep, that's Age of Mythology: Retold - Heavenly Spear out 30 Sep, 2025.
This is definitely Age of Mythology: Retold now, probably that upcoming Heavenly Spear DLC.
It's an Evangelion-themed update for an existing game called Terminull Brigade!
Okay this game looks pretty good, I'm seeing colorful characters and can only assume this is going to be some kind of multiplayer title? Let's see...
An indie survival game now, where you play as a cute little mouse in a snowy woodland setting.
It's Winter Burrow, and it will be available on November 12.
Another Xbox Play Anywhere title, with a day one Xbox Game Pass release.
It's Mistfall Hunter, described on its Steam page as "a third-person action PvPvE extraction RPG".
The game's director is discussing its grim setting and outlining the core details of its plot.
Plenty more combat is being shown, and it looks seriously slick.
Ninja Gaiden 4 time! We're getting the expected deep dive into the upcoming action game, with a look at its combat, enemies, and core mechanics.
There's also a lot of talk about its difficulty settings, which it seems will be as punishing as ever.
The game will feature new assists though, designed to make the game a little easier for those learning how to play.
I was completely wrong! It's called Project Evilbane and seems a long way out, with a 2027 release windows.
Some kind of fantasy game now!
I'm getting some Black Desert vibes from this, but I'm otherwise not sure what it could be.
It's called Starsand Island and drops on February 1!
Some kind of cutesy farming game now? It definitely looks nice but I'm not really sure what it could be.
A Day One Game Pass release now, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. This is a remake of an older game that has been out on other platforms for some time, but it's definitely nice that it's coming to Xbox.
Some new planes too, it seems!
A Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 world update now, focused on Japan.
We're seeing lots of gorgeous shots of Osaka and Kyoto, plus some major landmarks like Mount Fuji and Tokyo Tower.
What looks like a rhythm game now, where you press one button to the beat in order to complete a range of possible actions.
It's called Rhythm Doctor.
If you need a quick recap, that remake is coming out on October 30. Xbox pre-orders are available now.
We're seeing a fair chunk of gameplay now, centred around an ocean floor area.
A Dragon Quest announcement now, presumably a new trailer for that upcoming Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake.
We're seeing plenty of metroidvania combat, and some of the enemies you'll face.
Hotel Barcelona is coming to Xbox tomorrow!
This is an older game that's been a long time coming from legendary Deadly Premonition creator Swery65. We already knew the release date, but it's nice to see a new trailer and some Swery action.
Time for a new Xbox Play Anywhere title that's launching tomorrow!
Now she's talking about the upcoming Xbox Rog Ally handhelds!
Sarah Bond on screen now, recapping some of the big announcements so far.
Now a Hitman announcement!
New celebrity target time, this time starring Bruce Lee. It's available to play for free today.
Yep, Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2 are coming to Xbox One.
Now Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin, presumably this older title will be getting an Xbox port?
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection now, in a short little trailer that shows off its pretty graphics.
It's a Fallout 76 announcement now! The team is running through some recent updates to the game and outlining some cool community camp creations.
Now some kind strategy game set in World War 2.
It's called Sudden Strike 5!
A very cute looking game now! Something called Animo, but with very little other information.
Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly remake up now, showing more of its spooky action and stunning visuals. The game will feature revamped audio, bringing a new level of quality and depth to the experience.
An Arc System Works game now! So more of Double Dragon Revive. We're getting plenty of beat-em action, a look at its story mode content, and some of the extras that will be in the game.
The game will also feature unlockable character stories, which is pretty cool.
Now we're getting a new 007 Fire Light trailer!
A short one, reaffirming the release date next year.
Gungrave Gore Bloodheat! Nice.
This looks like Gungrave game for sure!
It's time for our first game! A "fully rebuilt entry" in a series that started in Japan... What could it be?
We've got some Phil Spender action on screen right now, introducing the show.
The stream is beginning! Get ready...
Start getting ready for the stream folks, we've got just 15 minutes to go until it kicks off.
Grab a drink, make some popcorn, as this will likely be a long one.
Oh, that's a bit anticlimactic... It turns out that Microsoft has accidentally revealed Forza Horizon 6 over on an Instagram post.
The image, posted to the official Forza Horizon page, shows an in-game cinematic and is accompanied by the caption "The Horizon Festival is heading to Japan."
The cinematic also confirms a 2026 release window.
The Tokyo Game Show sale is here
If you want to celebrate Tokyo Game Show 2025 with some fantastic savings on great games, than the latest Xbox sale has you covered.
I'm seeing some top-notch sale prices while scrolling through the Toyko Game Show Sale section of the Xbox store right now, including a 40% discount on Final Fantasy 15 Complete Edition. Monster Hunter Wilds has also had its price slashed, as has Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
Head over to the official sale page and have a browse - you might be able to find a bargain ahead of today's stream.
How long will the show be?
Interestingly, there's no official word on how long the stream will be - which makes it a little bit difficult to predict just how many reveals there might be.
Luckily we can always look at previous year's shows to work out the potential length. Last year's Tokyo Game Show broadcast lasted just over 51 minutes, so I would expect this year's to last a similar length of time.
What if I can't watch the show?
If you can't catch the Tokyo Game Show 2025 Xbox stream as it happens, don't worry!
You can always keep an eye on this page for a steady stream of the latest reveals and announcements as they happen, or catch our separate news stories on some of the biggest ones. You'll also be able to read this page back after the event has ended for a full list of everything announced, and our reactions as it happens.
Of course, Xbox themselves will also be offering a recap of the event. Expect a detailed summary of the big news on the Xbox Wire website a few minutes after the show ends.
Good morning gamers! Welcome to the start of my Tokyo Game Show 2025 Xbox stream coverage.
