When can a school with six national championships be considered an underdog? The Tar Heels, vanquishers of the defending champions, are the lowest seeded team still in contention, and they've set up a mouth-watering clash against their fiercest rivals.

The Blue Devils are preparing to send Mike Krzyzewski into retirement in style, but what a story it would be if the Tar Heels managed to stamp all over that fairytale vision, especially with rookie coach Hubert Davis running the show.

The Jayhawks are the last No.1 seed standing, and feel that they're owed a title after the tournament they looked destined to win had to be canceled two years ago. They face the Wildcats, who destroyed them at this very stage four years ago, and look formidable with their free throw accuracy.

It's crunch time, so follow our guide below for where to watch a 2022 March Madness live stream and catch all the NCAA hoops action online from anywhere - including some great ways to watch March Madness free online in certain countries.

March Madness predictions 2022

March Madness seedings mean something, it's just not always good. Only once have all four No.1 seeds made it to the Final Four, all the way back in 2008.

The curse of the reigning champions struck down once again this year, the Baylor Bears packing up early after falling to the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Florida were the last team to repeat all the way back in 2007, and in the past five tournaments now the defending champs have bowed out in either the first or second round.

Fellow top seeds Arizona and Gonzaga also went home with their tails between their legs, leaving Kansas as the only pre-tournament favorite still in with a shot at the title.

2022 March Madness venues

The 2022 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament has been more or less restored to its pre-pandemic format, with games set to be played at multiple venues all around the country.

The National Championship Game will take place at Caesars Superdome, the home of the NFL's New Orleans Saints, while other big-name venues include Fiserv Forum, Chase Center, United Center and Wells Fargo Center.

The full list of venues follows:

  • University of Dayton Arena, Dayton, Ohio
  • Moda Center, Portland, Oregon
  • KeyBank Center, Buffalo, New York
  • Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Dickies Arena, Fort Worth, Texas
  • Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Greenville, South Carolina
  • PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Viejas Arena, San Diego, California
  • Chase Center, San Francisco, California
  • AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas
  • Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • United Center, Chicago, Illinois
  • Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
