Cartridges for my old HP printer cost £167.50 each — although they were cheaper on eBay — so a single cartridge costs just £12.49 less than this entire printer with ink included. Epson says one set of bottles can produce up to 4,500 black-and-white pages or 7,500 colour pages.

I personally tested this watch, running around the streets of Paris and comparing its stats to a top-tier Garmin Fenix 8 Pro on the other wrist, which costs around £1,000 (or did at the time). The Fenix 8 Pro is the best Garmin had to offer (or was, until the Garmin Fenix 9 Pro arrived), with its Elevate V5 premium heart rate sensor. Comparing the two watches, their respective average heart rate measurements differed by just 1bpm.

I can confirm that it's an accurate watch; the titanium casing looks and feels great to wear, and it's ideal for runners in particular due to a rich feature set. It's got virtual pacers with snappy animations to keep your runs on time, which is perfect for training through your winter arc, ready to hit some races in Spring.

I gave the watch 4.5 stars out of 5 in my Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro review. It's a great value package, and it's now cheaper than ever, making it easy to recommend.

It's also easily mistaken for an Apple Watch at first glance, so if you're after a Series 12 but don't want to pay launch prices, this is an ideal buy over the Apple Watch SE 3. The only sticking point is that it doesn't work with third-party apps like Spotify and WhatsApp as well as other smartwatches do, and you have to sideload apps via Huawei's AppGallery.

Most webcams lock you into a rigid frame, forcing you to stay perfectly positioned when you're in meetings. The Obsbot Tiny 2 Lite works differently: with a 2-axis gimbal, it pans, tilts, and zooms on its own to keep you centered thanks to AI tracking rather than a static lens.

Dead zones are one of the most common home networking complaints - especially if you're working from home. Eliminating them is exactly what Netgear's Orbi 370-series Wi-Fi 7 mesh router system did during our testing.

The 2.5Gb internet port matters more than it might seem. Many mesh systems in this price range still cap out at Gigabit Ethernet, which bottlenecks faster broadband plans. A 2.5Gb port means the hardware will not be the limiting factor if you upgrade your internet speed later.

A three-piece system, one router and two satellites, is also the right size for most larger homes without over-buying. It is enough hardware to cover real dead zones without paying for a four- or five-unit kit most households do not need.

The event is similar to its regular Prime Day sale in the middle of the year, with 48 hours of deals exclusively available for Prime members. Whether it's your first time hearing about it or you're a regular, I've brought together everything you need to know.

As we've come to see over the last few years, Amazon has hosted the Prime Big Deal Days sale mainly as a teaser of what to expect from the retailer's full Black Friday sale in November. While it's not made up of all the exact same deals, many products do pop up again in the later sale, which can help you plan any spending you want to do.

In its announcement, Amazon has confirmed several featured brands, including Lego, Shark, Braun, Anker, and many more, with new deals promised across tech, home, fashion, toys, and essentials each day. It's almost guaranteed that many of its own-brand tech will feature in the sale, too, such as Blink, Ring, Fire TV, and Kindle.

Even with recent price hikes, I'm hopeful that we'll at least see a few products down to record-low prices in the sale — or at least the cheapest we've seen them so far this year. That'll be more likely with Amazon products, though, so I wouldn't expect any out-of-this-world bargains on RAM or storage, for example. Sorry to dash any hopes.

Why we recommend it

The Sony sensor and PDAF are two welcome features. PDAF is designed to lock onto its subject quickly, reducing the distracting focus hunting that can occur when you move around during a call or stream.

You regularly make video calls, stream or create video content and want better image quality without spending a huge amount of cash. Its choice of 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps gives you useful flexibility for different situations and meetings.

❌ Skip the Acer A640 if...

You only make occasional video calls and your laptop's built-in camera already does the job. Spending extra on 4K resolution and more advanced autofocus won't provide much benefit if image quality isn't particularly important to you.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

The headline 4K resolution is limited to 30fps, so you'll need to drop to 2K or 1080p to reach 60fps. There's no built-in speaker either, despite the webcam having its own microphone.

The 77.4-degree viewing angle is also relatively focused rather than extremely wide, which may not suit calls where you need to fit several people into the frame.

Mobile data can get expensive when you need hundreds of gigabytes every month, especially if you're using it as an alternative to fixed broadband. So, this 1000GB Data SIM deal, which gives access to Three and Vodafone networks, is the perfect fix.

• Best for: Remote workers, off-site travellers, and high-volume data users who want to pay a small amount upfront with no monthly charge or contract.

• The deal: 1000GB Three Data SIM for £58 (was £276) at Scancom when you use code HUKDHOT!!!. That works out at under £2.65 a month.

• Why it matters: This is a staggering saving on a mass-data SIM card. The SIM runs until July 2028 and your 1,000GB allowance renews on the 8th of every month. It also provides automatic access to both Three and Vodafone networks where available, and you can choose between a physical SIM and eSIM.

• The catch: There are no voice calls or texts included on this SIM, and no number porting. It's strictly for mobile data. Don't be misled by the £48 price on the page - that's the cost without VAT.

❌ Skip Three's 1000GB data SIM if...

You're looking for a conventional phone SIM or need to transfer your current number. There are no calls, SMS or roaming included, and number porting isn't supported.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

The advertised £48.30 discounted price you get in your basket when you apply the code doesn't include VAT. With it added you'll actually pay £57.96. This deal isn't available to everyone, either. Scancom states that customers must be businesses or sole traders, and individuals need to be registered as sole traders to qualify.

You should also check Three and Vodafone coverage before buying, as dual-network availability can vary by location. There's no built-in data-usage monitor, so you'll need to track consumption through your device or a third-party app.

If you exceed the 1,000GB allowance, your data resets rather than continuing beyond the limit. The service also has a content lock, although you can contact Scancom support to request its removal.

Samsung has just brought back its semi-regular cashback offer, allowing you to get up to £350 when you buy one of its latest phones, smartwatches, earbuds, or SSDs — including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

Accessing the offer is simple: buy an eligible product from an eligible retailer between now and October 9, then submit a claim through the dedicated Samsung Cashback site within 30 days of purchase.

Retailers participating in the offer include the big names and usual suspects, such as Amazon, Currys, Argos, AO, Very, and, of course, the official Samsung Store. Several major phone networks and retailers are also taking part, so you can choose to pick up a device on a contract with the likes of Tesco Mobile, Carphone Warehouse, and Mobile Phones Direct.

To get into some specific deals, the offer means you can pick up the brand-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 at the Samsung Store for £1,349 (was £1,699) after the £350 cashback — plus get up to an extra £730 off with a trade-in. That's a tempting one for me, after seeing our hugely positive 4.5-star review of Samsung's fascinating foldable.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, meanwhile, comes with £300 cashback, dropping the price to £1,399 (was £1,699). And if you choose to buy the S26 Ultra from the official Samsung Store, you can get a guaranteed £150 off when you trade in any smartphone in any condition.

I will just point out that the cashback is provided in the form of a virtual prepaid Mastercard in the Samsung Wallet app. It's not as clean as cash being sent directly to your nominated bank account, but the card is eligible to be used in-person or online on whatever you like. An annoying extra step, but at least it's not restricted to specific retailers or uses.

The Asus Zenbook line of laptops has consistently impressed us in tests thanks to a great blend of performance and ultra-portability. And AO just knocked £350 off the Asus Zenbook 14 touchscreen laptop.

• Best for: Business professionals and students who want a lightweight laptop they can easily carry to multiple locations, and need an OLED display without paying a premium.

• The deal: The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is reduced to £849 (was £1,199) at AO with free delivery. AO members can save another £38, bringing the total price down to £811.

• Why it matters: Combines a 14-inch WUXGA OLED touchscreen with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB SSD. It also weighs just 1.2kg and offers up to 18 hours of battery life, built for working at and away from a desk.

• The catch: There's no discrete GPU for heavy 3D rendering or gaming. While the screen is a gorgeous OLED, it's a standard WUXGA panel, not a high-resolution 2K or 4K model. I wouldn't consider this a deal-breaker for work and university tasks.

The 14-inch OLED touchscreen has a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 400-nit brightness and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Its 16:10 aspect ratio provides a little more vertical space than a conventional 16:9 screen, which is handy when you're working on documents or browsing the web.

Intel's Core Ultra 7 255H combines 16 processor cores with integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics and can reach speeds of up to 5.1GHz. You also get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A and HDMI 2.1, along with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

I haven't found this exact configuration cheaper elsewhere right now, but it has been as low as £729 in the past.

You want a laptop primarily for gaming. The integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics can handle some games, but there's no dedicated GPU, and the OLED display is limited to 60Hz, making it better suited to productivity, streaming and creative work.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

The display is OLED, but it's not one of the higher-resolution 2.8K or 3K panels found on some Zenbook models. You get a 1920 x 1200 resolution and 60Hz refresh rate, which are fairly basic specifications for a laptop originally priced at £1,199.

The memory is also LPDDR5X, which is typically soldered to the motherboard rather than installed in replaceable modules. That means you should consider 16GB as the maximum amount of RAM for this laptop.

After a short announcement window, it's official: Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max preorders are now open. If you've been thinking about picking up one of these stunning new devices, then you'll find all the biggest discounts right here on this page.

Firstly, a quick PSA. As you probably already know, Apple announced the 18 Pro, the 18 Pro Max, and the new iPhone Duo foldable during its September event on Tuesday. This page covers the Pro devices specifically, as preorders for the iPhone Duo are set to start next month.

If you're ready to preorder the Pro devices, however, then there's no need to wait. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 / £1,199, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299 / £1,299, and there are several ways to get a discounted device, of course.

In the US, it's possible to get an iPhone 18 Pro included with either a new line (with a pricey unlimited plan) or a trade-in at the major carriers. Apple's own deals include a trade-in rebate of up to $885 for unlocked devices or a new leasing option, which I'm covering in more depth just below.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro: what's new?

The star of the show in this year's September Apple event was undoubtedly the iPhone Duo, but that doesn't mean the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max aren't without their merits. In fact, both devices have a decent number of upgrades that could justify a trade-in, depending on what you're eligible for.

For example, both devices now carry the new A20 chipset. While we haven't tested this to confirm, Apple claims the new chipset delivers a claimed 20% faster CPU and 40% faster GPU than its predecessor due to its 2nm architecture. Battery life has also improved, with the iPhone 18 Pro offering up to 36 hours of video playback, matching last year's 17 Pro Max, while the 18 Pro Max reaches up to 45 hours.

The biggest upgrades, however, are arguably focused on the 18 Pro's camera. The devices now feature a 48MP main camera with variable aperture and a new sensor. In layman's terms, that means better low-light performance and greater user control over depth of field. There's also talk of a "computational imaging pipeline", which includes new Photographic Styles for share-ready JPEGS.

We'll have full reviews on these devices in the following weeks, so don't hesitate to keep checking in for more details.

Best for: Frequent travellers, remote workers, and professionals who need fast internet away from reliable home or office broadband.

The deal: Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro is now £700 (was £900) at Amazon.

Why it matters: This is the lowest ever price for a fast mobile router with support for up to 64 devices and SIM compatibility across more than 125 countries. We rated it 4.5 stars in our review, and noted: "At the end of the test, there's just no comparison between using your mobile phone as a hotspot and using the Nighthawk M7 Pro."

In our review, we scored the Nighthawk M7 Pro 4.5 stars, awarding it a TechRadar Pro Highly Recommended badge.

The Nighthawk M7 Pro relies on mobile network coverage, so you'll need to insert your own SIM card and use it in areas with a 4G or 5G mobile signal. During our own tests in the New Forest, we struggled to get more than one bar on a 5G band, but got 4G with a full five bars to continue working out in the field.

No, it's not Prime Day, and we're still a couple of months away from Black Friday. But out of nowhere, Amazon has dropped the 64GB model of the latest Kindle Scribe to a record-low price. You can head over to the retailer right now to pick up the Kindle Scribe at Amazon for £279.99 (was £429.99).

The previous generation model may have been cheaper than this, but this newer version offers the Premium Pen, new writing features and some genuinely useful AI additions as standard. And while the lower-capacity 16GB model has been discounted more as well, it's only been £15 cheaper, so you don't pay a lot extra for a lot more storage space.

The Kindle Scribe combines the functions of Amazon's immensely popular ereaders with the smooth and natural writing features of e-ink tablets. That means you can enjoy your favourite books while also making annotations, taking notes, reviewing documents, journaling, and creating lists using the included pen.

The Anker Prime 200W Charger is one of our favorite fast charging stations - and a neat way to save your desk from clutter. The combination of 40GB of data and a £10 monthly price should be enough for plenty of everyday browsing, social media, streaming, navigation, and other mobile use without paying for unlimited data you may never need.

There's no speed restriction on the plan, and you can use your entire UK data allowance for tethering or creating a mobile hotspot. That could be particularly useful for connecting a laptop or tablet when you're away from your usual Wi-Fi connection.

EU roaming is included, as is Wi-Fi calling which could come in handy if the mobile signal inside your home or workplace isn't particularly strong.

Although the plan includes EU roaming, you can't use the full 40GB allowance while travelling. EU data is subject to a 12GB monthly fair-use limit, while usage outside included European destinations requires an Out of Plan add-on.

You want to move beyond single-color 3D printing without spending a fortune on a multicolor setup. CANVAS provides four-color printing out of the box, while the enclosed design and high-temperature nozzle give you room to experiment with more demanding materials as your skills develop.

❌ Skip the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Combo if...

You primarily produce very large models. Its 256 x 256 x 256mm build volume is ample for many projects, but bigger prints may need to be divided into multiple pieces, so a large-format printer would be a better choice.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

Elegoo quotes a maximum printing speed of 500mm/s, but its recommended speed is 250mm/s. I'd treat the higher figure as the printer's upper limit rather than the speed you'd expect for every model and material.

It's also a large machine. At 500 x 480 x 743mm and 19.35kg, you'll need a sizable, sturdy surface, particularly if you're used to a smaller open-frame printer.

Big news in the iPhone world this week - Apple's first-ever foldable phone will soon be available. Yep, Apple iPhone Duo preorders are officially set to start next month, with the device retailing for a rather eye-watering sum of $1,999 / £1,999 at launch.

If you're looking to upgrade, you'll find everything you need to know laid out in a no-nonsense guide right here. As of writing, we have a full a full picture of specs and features, and a suggestion of what the opening deals will be from Apple and major US carriers. We've also got details for Apple's promotion in the UK, but details are more limited in regard to network options and contracts.

As an overview, the iPhone Duo is a 7.6-inch foldable phone with an intriguing passport-like design. It features many of the baseline specs as the new iPhone 18 Pro, but the design itself is unlike anything Apple has attempted before. It's more reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, but even then, it's classically 'Apple' in regard to its design. If you've got your eye on the shiny new Apple Duo, you'll have to wait a little bit longer to place your preorder. Apple's first-ever foldable phone will be available to preorder just over a month from now - Friday, 16th of October, to be exact.

As with the iPhone 18 Pro devices, you can already navigate to the official Apple Store page to see all the same details. The device will start at a rather eye-watering $1,999, but you'll have options to trade in or lease if you're looking to cut that price tag down to size.

Apple's own trade-in rebate is capped at $885 for unlocked devices, whereas major carriers are listing their rebates as $1,144, which is curiously lower than those that are available on the 18 Pro Max.

These could be provisional rebates to be confirmed at a later date, or the major carriers could be expecting higher demand for the iPhone Duo. They might be thinking that people will bite the bullet and accept a lower rebate for Apple's first-ever foldable.

As with other devices, you can take advantage of Apple's new leasing system with the iPhone Duo if you're inclined. Prices start at $57.99/mo for a 24-month lease, which adds up to just under $1,400 in total. Again, this is an option that could be worth exploring, but it does incentivize you to really lock in long-term so you can get those included upgrades.

What's new with these 2026 iPhones?

The biggest news, of course, is the iPhone Duo. Apple's first-ever foldable iPhone combines a 5.4-inch outer display with a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR inner screen for an intriguing 'passport-like' design. We can't wait to get our hands on it here at TechRadar, as it looks like Apple has added a ton of software features designed to take advantage of the larger folding display

For the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, the biggest camera upgrade is a variable aperture on the 48MP main camera. This allows users to open the aperture wider for more light in low-light photography, or close it down to increase depth of field and capture more detail. Both models are powered by the A20 Pro, which delivers a claimed 20% faster CPU and 40% faster GPU than its predecessor. Battery life has also improved, with the iPhone 18 Pro offering up to 36 hours of video playback, matching last year's 17 Pro Max, while the 18 Pro Max reaches up to 45 hours.

The Duo also features the same A20 Pro chipset and camera array (minus the telephoto) as the Pro-level devices here, so it should be a very, very quick device indeed. Over the next few weeks, we'll post our full review of all these devices, so stay tuned.

Best for: laptop users, home archivists, and anyone who needs access to CDs, DVDs, and disc-based software.

The deal: Dell DW316 Slim external USB DVD-RW drive for $38 at Amazon.

Why it matters: This slim 14mm external DVD writer is a USB-powered plug-and-play device that reads and writes CDs and DVDs, and includes CyberLink Media Suite 12. It's also useful if you're making physical copies of important files that can't be accidentally overwritten or deleted.

The catch: There's no Blu-ray support, and you'll need to pick up your own blank discs. In the UK, the Dell DW316 is £37 (was £50) for an imported drive, or £48 for one sent from the UK.

Why we recommend it

I put the Dell DW316 to good use myself this year when my wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. As I mentioned, our wedding video is still on DVD and this gave us an easy way to watch it again.

Beyond digital nostalgia, it's a really practical upgrade to access older software, music, movies and other physical media that would otherwise be left gathering dust.

And unlike files stored on a computer, in the cloud or on a storage device, data burned to a write-once disc can't be accidentally deleted, overwritten or changed, giving you a permanent physical copy. Write-once media can create a physical copy of important documents, photos or other files that can be kept offline and separate from your computer.

The drive is just 14mm thick and weighs 200g. Power comes directly from your laptop's USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter. It can also create discs using CyberLink Media Suite 12 which comes supplied free.

Price context & historical value

This drive has never been priced above $52 (at least, not since 2015), while its lowest price was $16 back in 2020. General trends show it more or less holds its price at around the $35 to $40 mark. For comparison, Dell's external disc drive is also available at the same price, $40 (was $50) at Best Buy.

Should you buy it?

✅ Buy the Dell DW316 if...

You occasionally need to access old CDs, DVDs or disc-based software, or want an inexpensive way to create physical copies of important files. The drive's small size means you can keep it tucked away until you actually need it.

❌ Skip the Dell DW316 if...

You need Blu-ray support or regularly work with large amounts of data. DVDs have limited capacity compared with modern storage devices, and this drive can't read or write Blu-rays.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

The DW316 connects over USB and is an older optical-drive design, so don't expect the transfer speeds you'd get from an external SSD or flash drive. Its purpose is accessing and creating optical media rather than moving large files quickly.

You'll also need compatible blank writable discs if you intend to use it for backups or archiving, adding a small additional cost on top of the $35 price.

Looking for the perfect compact everyday shooter for travel or street photography? The brand-new OM System PEN could be a fantastic option for you. Preorders are now open for this affordable new rangefinder-style camera ahead of an October 1st release date, and several retailers have already updated their sites with listings.

Probably the best option for preorder today is over at Adorama, where you can get yourself a free wrist strap alongside both the body-only and kit-lens options. The strap in question is a black Clever Supply Skinny Wrist Strap worth $54, so it's definitely a nice little freebie that should complement your new camera nicely.

[Update 09/11] It looks like B&H Photo is also throwing in the same free strap with preorders now. I believe people who have already preordered through this retailer should receive one too!

If you're in the UK (or USA but would prefer to order a camera elsewhere), I've attached a roundup of other options below. Major retailers like B&H Photo, Wex Video Photo, and Park Cameras are all stocking the camera today, so there should (hopefully) be plenty of stock available for early adopters.

Note that the OM System Pen starts at $999.99 / £849 for the body, with additional kit lens options. The lens kit, meanwhile, with the new M.Zuiko 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 III, is just an additional $100 / £100, which could be a better value option if you're new to the system, and looks like a particularly good option for travel photography. Not only is this kit a bargain, but the lens is also weather-sealed (unlike previous iterations).

Where to buy the OM System PEN

What's new with the PEN?

• 2.36-million-dot OLED EVF
• IPX1-rated dust-and-splash resistance

Much of the PEN's spec sheet will seem familiar to fans of the brand. As with most releases from OM System, the PEN is essentially re-using a lot of pre-existing tech in a new body at a lower price. However, its combination of a retro compact body, built-in viewfinder, image stabilization, weather resistance and accessible price makes it an attractive entry-level mirrorless camera, particularly for smartphone users.

Unlike the previous Olympus EP-7, the PEN now features a 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder as well as IPX1-rated dust-and-splash resistance. Internally, you're still getting the familiar 20.4MP Micro Four Thirds sensor with 5-axis image stabilisation rated to 5.5EV, but the 121-point phase-detection autofocus with subject detection is a key upgrade.

Other upgrades include OM System's latest computational photography features, namely Live ND, new color profiles, and two Cinema picture modes aimed at 4K video. Like the higher-end OM-3, the PEN is designed from the ground up for JPEG customization thanks to a new color/monochrome switch which provides quick access to film-inspired looks.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that the PEN debuts a new BLS-7 battery, rated for an impressive 410 shots per charge, as well as support for USB-C charging - another massive boon for travel photography.

Is the PEN worth preordering?

We haven't fully reviewed the OM System PEN yet, but my initial impression of the camera is positive. It's 'nothing new', so to speak, but the rock-bottom price that the brand is aiming for has the potential to make this one a crowd favorite.

For one, I don't think any other brand is offering a package quite like this for $1,000. With inflation and various tariffs, we've become accustomed to spiralling costs, so it's refreshing to see a brand-new camera with a viewfinder, weather sealing, and a stylish design for this price.

Perhaps the closest competitor to the OM System PEN is the Fujifilm X-M5 - one of our favorite entry-level cameras here at TechRadar. Both cameras share a stunning rangefinder-style design and enticing price point, but the PEN looks like the better choice for photographers, in my opinion. The X-M5 has far superior video specs, but it lacks image stabilization, a viewfinder, and weather sealing.

With such features, the PEN looks like a very, very compelling budget option compared to the likes of the Fujifilm X-E5. That's another one of our favorite rangefinder-style bodies, but it comes in at an eye-watering $1,799 / £1,399 for the body-only. In comparison, the PEN is a more entry-level body, but it's definitely a good option if you're happy with 20MP.

Proton's Unlimited plan has dropped $120, making now the cheapest time to ditch Google entirely, should you wish.

The plan includes everything you'd expect from Google's privacy-unfriendly suite: Docs, Drive, Calendar, Mail, Sheets, and so on. But, it also throws in extras such as Proton VPN, one of the best VPNs available, and Proton Pass, a premium password manager which includes the super-handy email aliasing feature.

Normally, the Proton Unlimited bundle costs $12.99 per month over two years, billed as $311.76.

This deal brings a 38% discount, making it $7.99/month. That saves $120, bringing the total 2-year cost to $191.76.

Unlike Google's suite, all of Proton's tools are end-to-end encrypted and ad-free. This means whatever you send, upload, or create is protected from snoopers looking to intercept your information to use maliciously or sell online.

This is the lowest Proton Unlimited price we've seen in 2026 but we don't know how long it'll last. So, if you're interested, sign up now to lock in the deal, and you can always make use of Proton's 30-day money-back guarantee if you change your mind.

While ditching Google entirely might seem scary, Proton is taking steps to make it as simple as possible.

Its 'Easy Switch' tool sits at the heart of this. It allows you to sign into your old email account, from which Proton automatically pulls information such as your emails, contacts, and calendar.

Files aren't quite so slick but Proton has guides for transferring from services such as Google Drive, OneDrive and more to help you get started.

I've used Proton's privacy suite for nearly two years now. Since the addition of Meet and Sheets (alongside Calendar, Docs, Drive, Mail, Pass and Wallet) it now feels more like Google Workspace than ever, and it's all far more secure.

All of the tools included can be signed up for separately. Most are pricey on their own but the Unlimited bundle makes it really good value.

This rolling unlimited SIM on the EE network is one of the best I've seen. You're getting uncapped data, texts, and calls, plus 25GB free European Roaming data for £15 a month, and you can cancel any time.

• Best for: Data guzzlers who spend a lot of time online, business travellers and motorhome owners visiting Europe, and anyone who hates getting locked into phone contracts.

• The deal: EE Rolling Unlimited SIM for £15 a month (was £35) at Scancom with the code HUKDSAVE.

• Why we like it: I love the value offered with this rolling SIM. Unlimited mobile data, voice calls, and texts for £15 is fantastic - and not even buying from EE direct can compete. The 25GB free EU roaming is great extra, particularly for business trips and holidays. But what I love most is that, as a rolling contract, you can cancel the SIM any time.

Why we recommend it

Unlimited data, calls, and text, and free European roaming data make this one of the best-value SIM deals around right now.

At £15 a month, rather than £35, you get EE's reliable network speeds with absolutely no contract to sign, so you can cancel any time.

The generous 25GB data roaming for Europe is ideal for frequent travellers (whether that's for work or pleasure). And it's more than enough data allowance for streaming, video calls, map navigation, and checking messages and emails when public or hotel Wi-Fi is slow.

I haven't seen a similar cost with similar benefits from EE either on Amazon or direct from the network provider.

Price context & historical value

No two ways about it, £15 a month for unlimited data, calls, and text is an excellent price. For comparison, an Unlimited Rolling SIM plan without the 25GB European data roaming is priced at £25 a month at Amazon. Buying a monthly contract unlimited SIM with no free roaming data direct from EE is currently £23 a month.

You don't want to sign up to a monthly contract, use a lot of data at home, or you're often traveling to Europe for work.

You'd rather buy direct from EE to get the network provider's support and sign-up extras, or you need more than 25GB European data roaming.

It's also worth pointing out that Scancom is also technically a B2B site, and you'll use the company for support, rather than EE's in-house team.

Nintendo just gave us a closer look at the upcoming Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in a special presentation to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the series, and at the same time, confirmed the release date.

The big news for collectors, though, is that the first run of the physical edition will feature special textured foil packaging, so here's where you can secure your sparkly copy with a preorder ahead of release on November 5.

The official store opened up preorders first in all regions, and then several other retailers followed shortly after. Stock still seems to be holding well, but I have seen physical copies sell out in some stores, so I'm continuing to keep an eye on availability and share updates for you get.

And while it's extremely unlikely that it will completely sell out ahead of launch, given that the special cover is limited to this initial print run, it's best to be safe if you want to add a copy to your collection.

In particular two of the brand's devices, both of which I've reviewed, have seen some discounts that you can't miss. And they're both pairs I'd consider buying if I were looking for something in the sales.

If you want a pair of over-ear headphones, then the Earfun Wave Pro is calling out for you. It's now available from Amazon for $59.99, down from $79.99, and we gave these cans an almost-perfect 4.5/5 review back when they launched in 2024. A new model called the Wave Pro X just launched, but they're pricier, so these older headphones are still easy to recommend.

People who'd rather use in-ear earbuds should look to the Earfun Air Pro 4, as you can get the white model for $68.37 at Amazon, which is 24% off from their $89.99 asking price. These earbuds were feature-packed (perhaps too much, as I said in my review), but they're great value for money. The newer Air Pro 4 Plus are better, but they haven't seen a discount, so I'd be happy settling for the non-Plus models.

This year's Labor Day sales are just around the corner in the US, and Black Friday won't be far behind in the UK, so it's safe to expect big deals ahead for the best Pixel phones.

We've just reviewed the Google Pixel 11 Pro, and were mightily impressed by its new Magic Capture feature — but I'd still recommend picking up the Google Pixel 10 Pro this sales season, for reasons I'll explain in a moment.

Magic Capture on the Pixel 11 Pro automatically takes high-quality stills while you're shooting a video. Simply press the shutter button once, hold the phone as if you’re shooting a video, and press it again when you’re finished — you'll then be presented with a regular video and photos showing key moments from the scene.

In other words, this camera mode removes the need to choose whether you want photos or a video, and gives you both instead. You can see how Magic Capture plays out in the photos and video below, all of which were captured with a single tap of the shutter button when Magic Capture mode was selected:

Magic Capture is hands-down my favorite feature on the Pixel 11 Pro, and it’s something I can imagine most people making frequent use of. But despite its exclusivity to Google's new flagship, I'd still say the Google Pixel 10 Pro is the better buy this sales season — for several reasons.

A cheaper choice

Firstly, unlike the Pixel 11 Pro — which is brand new and probably won’t be reduced for a while — the Google Pixel 10 Pro is likely to be heavily discounted for Labor Day in the US, and it’s already available at a reduced price from many retailers in the UK (it's just £649 at Amazon, for instance).

That makes the 10 Pro a much better bargain than the $1,099 / £1,079 / AU$1,849 Pixel 11 Pro, especially as, even at full price, it’s still the cheaper phone (Google doubled the 11 Pro's starting storage, but kept the 10 Pro's 256GB price, effectively hiking the base cost of the Pixel 11 Pro by $100 / £80 / AU$150).

And if you’re worried about missing out on things — don’t be. There’s a good chance Magic Capture itself will land on the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL within a few months, as Google’s software features tend to trickle down to the previous generation of phones over time. That 'exclusivity' I mentioned earlier may be short-lived.

Similar smartphones

And beyond Magic Capture, there’s really not that much to get excited about with the Pixel 11 Pro. HiLight under-delivers, and you actually get less RAM here, at least in the starting capacity, with the Pixel 11 Pro starting at 12GB, while the Pixel 10 Pro has 16GB in all configurations.

The new phone has a slightly more powerful chipset, sure, but for the average user, the Pixel 10 Pro should deliver strong performance anyway. And there’s little difference in their respective camera hardware, batteries, or screens (other than a higher peak brightness on the new phone).

So, if you’re in the US, I’d recommend keeping an eye out for Pixel 10 Pro sales this holiday season, before settling on the new model. And while the Labor Day sales won’t apply elsewhere, it’s still worth seeing if anywhere’s offering the Pixel 10 Pro at a heavily discounted price outside the US too — because if so, you should probably grab that rather than the Pixel 11 Pro.

It seems like the Garmin Fenix 9 (and the ultra-premium Garmin Fenix 9 Pro) has just been unveiled, but we're already seeing price crashes on the previous generation, the Garmin Fenix 8. The Labor Day sales are in full swing, and Amazon is offering some lowest-ever prices on the Garmin Fenix 8 range.

Right now, you can get the smaller 43mm Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED discounted from $999.99 to just $749.99, a 25% saving and the cheapest a Fenix 8 has ever been on Amazon (and therefore, likely anywhere else), according to our deals-tracking tools. That's in its fetching Silver and Whitestone color, and even though 43mm is relatively small for a smartwatch, its chunkiness means the 43mm version is eminently wearable for all wrist sizes throughout the day.

If you're looking for something heavier duty, though, there are savings on larger sizes, and models equipped with Solar Power Glass or ultra-tough Sapphire glass screens.

The Labor Day sales also cover this Garmin Fenix 8 Pro model with inReach (was $1,199.99, now $949.99 at Amazon), which allows you to use satellite messaging with a subscription and can connect to your phone's data plan. This is available in both 47mm and the massive 51mm size for the same price, with larger watch sizes also netting you increased battery life.

Few premium VPNs match this pricing, particularly when accounting for renewal costs. For example, NordVPN's one-year plans start at $65.88, over $20 more, and renew at $139 per year. It's a similar story when you look at the likes of Surfshark and ExpressVPN, too.

It's also among the fastest VPNs we reviewed during our most recent tests, achieving over 2,000 Mbps over WireGuard. Plus, it reliably unblocks major streaming platforms and bypasses regional internet blocks.

If you're not keen on Windscribe but want to keep top speeds, PrivadoVPN is another top choice that achieved over 2000 Mbps in testing. Equally, for streaming performance, no VPN performed better than NordVPN with global services this time around.

If you want to test it first, Windscribe offers a solid free tier. While bandwidth and server locations are capped, it gives you a risk-free way to test the interface before upgrading.

The Munbyn RW403B remains one of the best shipping label printers we've ever tested, and it's the one our senior printer editor regularly recommends if you're running an ecommerce store or a small business. And currently, Munbyn's Bluetooth thermal label printer is down to $80 (was $120) at Amazon.

During our own testing, we found it easy to use, impressively quick to print, and actually fun to use. It delivered excellent results across a range of labels, postage notes, barcodes, and stickers with support for sizes from 1.57 to 4.25 inches wide.

The RW403B offered us a dedicated way to print 4 x 6-inch shipping labels without having to buy ink or toner. It connects over Bluetooth and works with Android and iPhone devices, as well as Windows PCs, Macs and Chromebooks. In the UK, the Munbyn RW403B is now £70 (was £95) at Amazon.

Why we recommend it

Munbyn says its DAC technology automatically calibrates the printer to reduce label misalignment, while the 0.1mm font legibility should keep small text and barcodes clear. It's also rated at 60dB, which makes it better suited to a home office or shared workspace where a noisy printer could quickly become irritating.

In his 4.5-star review, our senior printer editor Jim said: "it’s easy to set up and operate," and "the robust design feels like it’s built to last and the print quality is better than most label printers."

He went on to explain, "After your initial outlay, there’s no ink cost to think about and thermal labels can be bought inexpensively."

At $79.99, you're saving $40 against the usual $119.99 price, which works out to a solid 33% discount. It has been cheaper in the past, but not hugely. We've seen it as low as $76, which is just $4 less than the current price.

You're regularly packing and shipping orders and want to streamline the process. Bluetooth connectivity means you can print from any device. It's absolutely ideal for small business and ecommerce use.

❌ Skip the Munbyn Thermal Label Printer if...

You need colorful labels, graphics or branding. This is a monochrome thermal printer designed primarily for practical labels, so you'll need a different printing technology if presentation and full-color output are required.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

This is a specialized printer and while its maximum 4.25-inch print width is ideal for shipping labels and similar jobs, but it can't handle regular letter-size documents.

It's also worth considering how often you'll actually print labels. The convenience is easy to justify for a small business or frequent online seller, but occasional users may be perfectly happy continuing to output shipping labels on an ordinary printer.

Herman Miller is iconic in the world of ergonomic office furniture, and its range of pioneering desk chairs and desks have consistently impressed us during testing. And that includes the Jarvis Bamboo standing desk, currently down to the $994 (was $1325) in Herman Miller's big Fall sale.

This premium desk has some of the highest build quality of any we've reviewed, with all the features a professional requires from a sit-stand model. As befitting an executive-grade desk, this model, with its 25% discount, features a broad 48x27-inch desktop, black frame, a three-stage height range with programmable presets, and powered grommet. In the UK, a smaller Jarvis Bamboo is down to £645 (was £860) at Herman Miller.

Why we recommend it

The Jarvis has earned a strong reputation for its build quality and stability. Its powder-coated steel frame supports a bamboo desktop with a German-made, wear-resistant UV-cured topcoat. The motors can raise or lower it at up to 1.5 inches per second.

That's a substantial saving on a desk that rarely makes any attempt to compete with the hundreds of more affordable standing alternatives. That said, we have seen it cheaper elsewhere, with the price as low as $881 at other retailers.

You want a premium standing desk that can handle a substantial setup. Its 350-pound capacity gives you plenty of scope for multiple monitors and other hardware, while four programmable height presets make switching between preferred positions quick and easy.

You rarely change position once you've settled down to work. The Jarvis's electric adjustment is a major part of what you're paying for, so a high-quality fixed desk could make more sense if you know you'll spend virtually the entire day sitting.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

Even after the huge discount, this is still a nearly $1000 desk, and there are plenty of electric standing desks available for a fraction of that. You're essentially paying a premium for the materials, lifting capacity, finish and overall quality rather than simply gaining the ability to work standing up.

The warranty also varies by component. The desktop is covered for five years and the frame, motors, mechanical and electrical components for seven years, but the powered grommet and surge protector are only covered for one year.

If you're still hunting for a new laptop for the new school year, I'd recommend this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook for £249.99 (was £339) as an affordable, capable option for basic use. It's not the most powerful laptop out there, but it has all the essentials covered at a great price, including a decent entry-level processor, 8GB of RAM to help with performance, and a decent-sized 256GB SSD for storage.

The Kindle Scribe is much more than an oversized e-reader, combining a 10.2-inch Kindle display with a digital notebook that you can actually write on. And right now, a Like-New 64GB Metallic Jade Amazon Kindle Scribe with Premium Pen is down to $320 (was $405) at Amazon.

It's one of those devices, like the reMarkable tablets, that we often recommend for professionals looking to take digital handwritten notes. If you're not too fussy about owning a brand new model, you can save a good chunk of money here. Our hardware editor purchased the same Like-New Scribe and, just as Amazon promised, it showed absolutely no signs of use.

In the UK? The same 64GB Like-New Kindle Scribe is down to £270 (was £387) at Amazon.

Why we recommend it

If you read a lot but also fill notebooks with ideas, lists, meeting notes or general scribblings, the Scribe can replace both your Kindle e-reader and a pile of paper. The 10.2-inch, 300ppi glare-free display is front-lit, while the Premium Pen requires no charging or setup.

You can write directly on book pages using Active Canvas, annotate imported PDFs and documents, and send files including DOCX and EPUB to the Scribe.

Amazon has reduced this 64GB Scribe from $404.99 to $319.99, which knocks $85 off the usual price and works out to a discount of about 21%.

This is a Like-New device rather than a brand-new Scribe, although Amazon says these units are refurbished, tested and certified to look and work like new, and they carry the same limited warranty as a new device.

This model has been cheaper in the past however. I've seen it sell for as low as $279 towards the end of 2025 and at the start of this year.

Should you buy it?

✅ Buy the Kindle Scribe if...

You love reading on a Kindle but have always wished you could properly write on one too. The Scribe adds a large digital notebook and Premium Pen while keeping the distraction-free reading experience that makes a Kindle appealing.

❌ Skip the Kindle Scribe if...

You want a tablet that can organize your writing with dedicated apps. The Scribe is deliberately more like intelligent electronic paper, so an iPad will give you far more flexibility for apps and more complex workflows.

The Catch: What to know before you buy

The obvious question is whether “Like-New” should put you off. Our hardware editor Steven bought a Like-New Kindle himself and says it arrived in perfect condition.

That doesn't guarantee every unit will be cosmetically flawless, however, and Amazon notes that Like-New devices may arrive in generic Amazon-branded packaging.

If you're buying it as a gift, that might make the saving less appealing, but if you're buying for yourself, it will likely be fine.
