UPDATE 23/09/2020: Having been delayed by a number of months due to Covid-19, the long-awaited Amazon Prime Day 2020 dates have finally been revealed thanks to a new leak

This year's Prime Day sales will kick off on Tuesday, October 13, and you can be certain that the world's biggest online retailer will offer some fantastic deals this time around.

Several hours after last year's Prime Day event officially ended there were still some deals that continued on until late in the evening. This year, we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for any of these 'Global Store' deals that are worthy, and posting them immediately below this note for your convenience.

You can take a look at some of last year's (now long-expired) deals below to get an idea of what you can expect from Amazon Prime Day 2020.

Global Store deals from Amazon US Prime Day

EXPIRED: Optoma NuForce Be Live5 | $89.24save $35.88

EXPIRED: Optoma NuForce Be Live5 | $89.24 (was $125.12; save $35.88)

We typically don't get the NuForce range of headphones in Australia, but Optoma delivers some excellent quality 'buds at affordable prices. And as we found in our review, the NuForce Be Live5s are no different, offering great sound with impressive water-resistant. These wireless in-ear headphones are currently discounted via Amazon US.

EXPIRED: Plantronics BackBeat FIT 350 | $81save $20

EXPIRED: Plantronics BackBeat FIT 350 | $81 (was $101, save $20)

Here's another Amazon US deal on a well-regarded pair of wireless in-ear headphones. We've not tested this particular set at TechRadar, but we've covered a number of other BackBeat in-ears, and most have earned high marks. The FIT line are specifically geared towards exercise, so they're designed to withstand the greater wear-and-tear that generally comes with that. Note that only the black colour is on sale as part of this promo – the blue and grey options are still $120+ each.

Audio entertainment is extremely important for Australians in 2019, however, having the right equipment, such as headphones, Bluetooth speakers, streaming media devices and so forth, can fetch a considerable price. Amazon Prime Day in Australia is sure to help out with that, offering those looking for audio and entertainment gear.

Lightning deals

Available for a strictly limited time or until sold out, Amazon's Lightning deals can be a great way to save on popular products, but you've usually got to get in pretty quick. There aren't currently any the AV gear Lightning deals we think are worth considering, but check back later!

Home AV deals

Most of the audio and entertainment deals on this page are limited time only and are allocated with a limited stock, so be sure to get in quick if you're chasing something in particular and check back regularly if you haven't found what you're after.
