Whether you want to be able to keep an eye on scores while riding the train home, or you're considering cutting the cord and need an option that gives you access to your favorite teams on gameday, ESPN Plus has you covered. This service includes live streams for tons of sports events including UFC, PGA, MLS, MLB, and more. Between live events you can also take a peek at an on-demand library of past games, and documentaries in the 30 for 30 series.

There's a fairly wide array of options for signing up to the service depending on your viewing needs and budget, including throwing together your subscription with PPV events, or throwing in Disney Plus and Hulu under one monthly payment. Here we'll explain the different ESPN Plus cost options, including the cheapest ways to get access to ESPN Plus, deals, and more.

ESPN Plus cost: what payment plans are available?

The two core, standalone options for subscribing to ESPN Plus. These prices came into effect as of October 2023. Both rates include VAT, with the latter yearly plan offering a 20% saving when paying up front - which perhaps just about makes up for the long ago withdrawn ESPN Plus free trial.

PlansPrice
ESPN Plus monthly$9.99
ESPN Plus yearly$99.99
PPV Standalone$79.99
PPV Package$124.98, thereafter $99.99 a year
Disney Plus bundle$12.99 ($19.99 without ads)

More recently, PPV Standalone prices have seen a slight increase. Previously costing $74.99, you'll now have to pay $79.99 for these events

The good news is for anyone with a PPV Package (which includes PPV and an annual subscription of ESPN Plus), this remains at $134.98, thereafter $99.99 a year - essentially paying $24.99 for your PPV in this instance. However, this option is only available for new customers.

Both tiers offer full access to the ESPN Plus catalogue of on demand shows as well as live action. Crucially for MMA fans, it allows subscribers to make the most of ESPN Plus UFC PPV events, UFC Fight Nights, best-of archives, and other original Octagon-themed content. That's ringside UFC live stream views.

What is the ESPN Plus bundle?

Those looking for a broader streaming entertainment package can make the most of even bigger savings without need for an ESPN Plus coupon code.

With ESPN owned by Disney, the entertainment giant is offering a rather compelling Disney Plus bundle that lets you get ESPN Plus, Disney Plus and Hulu for a flexible monthly sum which now costs just $14.99 a month. Or pay $24.99 a month to forego ads on Disney Plus and Hulu.

How does the ESPN Plus cost compare to Sling TV?

Competing streaming service Sling TV is wildly popular with cord-cutters, with the over-the-top platform offering a real alternative, the Sling TV cost ideal for those after cable who are money-conscious.

Offering up access to hit TV shows live across a plethora of popular TV networks, as well as thousands of classic movies and TV shows on-demand, the service also has sports fans well catered for. You'll be able to watch the likes of NBC, NBCSN, USA Network, plus ESPN linear channels.

Sling TV packages are made up from three core plans at varying price points. Sling Orange is sports and family oriented, with ESPN, Motortrend, Nick Jnr and the Disney Channel among its line-up.

Sling Blue is bulked up with a greater number of news and entertainment channels with National Geographic, Discovery, SyFy, and FX on its roster, as well as the NFL Network.

Both of these options start from $40 a month individually, with a Sling Orange + Sling Blue combination giving you the best of both worlds for $60 a month. Whichever you choose, you can personalize your Sling TV channels plan with a range of Extras at an additional cost, including Sling Sports Extra for a further $11 a month which adds a further 14 sports channels including SEC Network, NBA TV and beIN Sports.

How does ESPN Plus compare to FuboTV?

Similar in its offering is sports-focused cable replacement FuboTV.

The IPTV service has unparalleled access to major sports networks including the NFL, ESPN, ESPN 2, and FS1, as well as offering the same general entertainment channels you’d find elsewhere. This includes AMC, BBC America, the Disney Channel, FX and MTV as well as having NBC, ABC and Fox for your breaking news.

There four FuboTV costs to choose between:

Its Starter plan was axed, with Pro now costing $74.99 a month and giving you access to 145 channels, 1000 hours of Cloud DVR, and unlimited screens.

The service's Elite tier is priced at $84.99 and increases the total number of channels to more than 206, while also offering 1000 hours Cloud DVR and unlimited screens.

Or there's its Premier plan, costing $94.99 a month with 215 channels, of which 130+ air events in 4K.

Finally, Latino Quarterly offers 47 Spanish-language channels, 250 hours of Cloud DVR, and three simultaneous streams for the quarterly cost of $99 (to be prepaid every three months).
