Dutton Ranch season 2 has officially been confirmed by Paramount+ just days ahead of its penultimate season 1 episode airing.

Season 1 amassed 12.9 million viewers globally in its first seven days following the Yellowstone spinoff's premiere, making it the biggest original series launch in Paramount+ history, according to the streamer.

“Beth and Rip are among the most iconic duos in television history, and we are thrilled to bring a whole new world to life with Dutton Ranch for our subscribers around the world,” said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals for Paramount+.

Matt Thunell, President of Paramount Television Studios, added, "We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in season 2.”

No further details have been announced as of writing, but we can expect Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser to return to their leading roles (the pair act as executive producers on the show).

But with season 1 showrunner Chad Feehan exiting the series weeks before the premiere, who will take over?

Opinion: Now that Dutton Ranch season 2 is confirmed, Taylor Sheridan needs to properly return

Back in April 2026, it was reported that Chad Feehan left the show after alleged on-set tension with Reilly, Hauser, and executive producer Taylor Sheridan.

Industry rumors suggested that another writer would take over as lead showrunner, but to me, it's the perfect time for Sheridan to get back in the driver's seat.

The Yellowstone mastermind has been dedicating his time to Lioness, Landman, and, most recently, The Madison, having not directly led a Yellowstone spinoff since 1883 and 1923.

That being said, Dutton Ranch has still performed exceptionally well without him, whereas the fellow spinoff Marshals, has suffered. Surely, it would be a pretty nice thing to jump on the victory train that is Beth and Rip's new life in Texas.

We likely won't know who will take over until production starts. As of yet, no filming timeline or predicted release window has been confirmed.

Spoilers for Dutton Ranch episode 7 ahead.

As far as fictional parties go, 10 Petal ranch's 190-year anniversary bash in Dutton Ranch episode 7 was pretty tame.

Most of it went without a hitch, with even Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) blending into the background. Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) returned home to bully mom Beulah (Annette Bening) into changing her plans for the ranch's successor... and it works.

Shortly after Beulah announces that Rob-Will will be taking her place — and almost everybody else around them has objected — Beulah falls to the floor, potentially on the brink of death.

All has yet to be revealed in the Yellowstone spinoff, but Dutton Ranch fans have been distracted by something (and someone) much more unfulfilling. Does the new Paramount+ show need a drastic shakeup already?

Dutton Ranch fans want to see less of Carter — and his painful on-off romance with Oreana

Yep, that's right — Dutton Ranch fans are practically begging for Beth and Rip's adopted "son" Carter (Finn Little) to have less screentime.

"I know I should care about Carter as I used to on Yellowstone. But in my opinion, there are too many scenes with him and not enough of the other characters. Honestly, he bores me," one fan posted on Reddit.

A second agreed, "His character is poorly written this time and that combined with Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) makes it a hard watch. I hope it develops a bit but I don't expect too much."

"Yeah, teenage angst is not why I watch," a third chipped in.

Up until episode 5, Carter's healthy screentime made sense. He needed to get settled into Rio Paloma, and he's the only character who actively protests against the family's move from Montana.

He was also embroiled in the death of Dwight (Ray McKinnon), which has emphasized his internal battle between being a boy and a man. But for many, it's this that is Dutton Ranch's "toughest watch."

"Love the show but I hope the high school subplot ends soon," one fan writes, as another adds, "I get the whole teenage angst thing. But he's still an annoying little sh*t."

A third weighs in, "I was hoping the Dwight situation would be a subplot like Joe Exotic or something interesting. The older gf looks 30 and it’s not as interesting unless Beth goes after her soon and takes care of it."

With Oreana now seemingly gravitating towards another love interest, Carter's teen angst could actually be kicked up a notch. But with two episodes of Dutton Ranch left to go, anything is possible.

Has Beulah (Annette Bening) actually been left for dead after falling to the floor at the end of Dutton Ranch episode 7? My gut says no... but when it comes to Rio Paloma, nothing can be second guessed.

Last week's 10 Petal anniversary party saw Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) officially announced as Beulah's successor, upsetting not just Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba), but almost everybody that Beulah is directly in business with.

Obviously, it's all going to end in tears. But when does Dutton Ranch episode 8 land on Paramount+?

With Dutton Ranch episode 7 arriving on Paramount+ this week, our attention is starting to turn to the Yellowstone spinoff's future.

We've got two episodes left in the current batch, and at this stage, anything could happen. Beulah (Annette Bening) has just announced 10 Petal's successor, Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) are outright working for her, and Carter (Finn Little) is learning what it's like to get your heart broken.

With Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) also returning to Rio Paloma, the tension is like a boiling pot ready to spit hot water at whatever is nearby.

But is this enough to pull off Dutton Ranch season 2? I think it's the easiest yes in the world... and according to one star, the viewership should speak for itself.

'The numbers speak for themselves'

"I hope so," Berto Colón, who plays Miguel on the hit series, says when I ask him about Dutton Ranch season 2 being renewed.

"I mean, the writing is on the wall, right? I think that the success of the show speaks for itself. There needs to be a continuation to this.

"Obviously, I don't have any actual carnal knowledge of that. I just know that the numbers speak for themselves. What I've gathered in my experience of this business is that if any show deserves a few, a few more seasons is this one."

From an IP perspective alone, he's not wrong. Yellowstone has already been able to churn out four separate spinoffs: 1883, 1923, Marshals and Dutton Ranch.

Out of all of them, Dutton Ranch is the most likely to rival Yellowstone's own legacy, and certainly has the most mileage. Given that there's also fan interest in a Marshals crossover, reuniting Beth with brother Kayce (Luke Grimes), the Duttons are a gift that keeps on giving.

With no renewal in sight yet, I don't think it will take long for Paramount+ to commit. My advice? Keep your eyes peeled around the same time that the season finale drops on July 3.

Just four months after our last visit to the Game of Thrones universe with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, it's time to return to Westeros once more for House of the Dragon's third season.

With some fans suggesting its forebear wasn't as good as it could've been, and behind-the-scenes drama between showrunner Ryan Condal and Thrones overlord George R.R. Martin that wouldn't look out of place in the latter's high fantasy book franchise, the HBO Max TV Original's latest chapter really needs to deliver.

Here's the premise: when Jill (Zoey Deutch) leaves voice messages to her deceased sister telling her about her chaotic life in San Francisco, an Austin-based real estate agent Wes (Nick Robinson) begins to receive their confessions. Lo, an unexpected romance is born.

How to Make a Killing (HBO Max)

Black comedy movie How to Make a Killing is streaming on HBO Max this weekend. It was ultimately a flop and received a lot of criticism upon its initial theatrical release, including in my How to Make a Killing review, which is where I described it as a "rare misfire" for A24.

The Agency season 2 (Paramount+)

Paramount+'s addictive spy thriller is back and reportedly better than ever. For the uninitiated: Michael Fassbender play Brandon Colby, a spy going by the pseudonym 'Martian'.

There are plenty of tense interrogations and nail-biting scenes this time around. Season 2 picks up soon after the first's dramatic finale, and sees 'Martian' feeling the pressure after becoming a double agent for MI6. Amid all that, he's trying to manage his volatile relationship with Samia (Jodie Turner-Smith), who has been imprisoned in Sudan.

So, Martian has a lot on his plate, which is good news for us at home, because it means we're all guaranteed to be on the edge of our seats. — LB

I Will Find You (Netflix)

Another Harlan Coben series landing on Netflix means that we'll be sat and locked in for the foreseeable. After Run Away melted our minds in January, I Will Find You takes the chaos and raises it with a mind-boggling child murder case.

We follow David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), who is serving a life sentence for the murder of his son, Matthew. When his ex-sister-in-law and disgraced journalist Rachel (Britt Lower) finds evidence that Matthew might still be alive, the race is on to prove David's innocence and find his son.

Expect crazy confessions and twists and turns that will leave you with whiplash... and that's just in the first episode. — JV

Your Fault: London (Prime Video)

As the latest in Prime Video's hit Your Fault movie series, the London contingent has a lot to live up to. In fact, we're picking up after the events of the previous film, with Noah (Asha Banks) and Nick (Matthew Broome) now in a full-blown relationship.

This doesn't sound too out of the ordinary... until you learn that the pair are step-siblings. Now they pursue different paths, with Nick in business and Noah at Oxford. As always, they are dealing with new relationships and secrets. Let's just hope that they're ones we can cope with. — JV

Sugar season 2 (Apple TV)

The effortlessly cool Sugar returns for season 2 of this Apple Original and I've certainly enjoyed my latest trip to this sunny LA location. It's stunning as ever with its signature retro vibe and our protagonist John Sugar (Colin Farrell) has brought more of his own personal demons along for the ride, too.

The life of a private investigator comes with a lot of stress, and Sugar is feeling it when the trail to track down his missing sister goes cold. So, he takes on another case to keep himself occupied, agreeing to help a boxer whose brother and trainer has also gone missing.

There are a lot more film noir references here and enough mystery to keep you interested. It's another win for Apple TV and an enjoyable love letter to Old Hollywood. If you've already seen Sugar season 1, check out my Sugar season 2 review for my full thoughts. — LB

Spoilers for Dutton Ranch episode 7 ahead.

After last week's episode was brave enough to kill off one of its most problematic characters on the hoof, I expected big things from this week's installment of Dutton Ranch.

In episode 6, disgruntled ex-foreman Chet (Hart Denton) was killed in cold blood after trying to take down eldest Jackson brother Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) by shooting him in the hand. Rip (Cole Hauser) saw the whole thing play out and asked no questions... for now.

Meanwhile, Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Beulah (Annette Bening) have formed a business partnership and have successfully won their first client. But how long can peace be between them — especially after Beulah alluded to knowing the truth about Jamie Dutton's death?

Teeing this week up for big things, I'm not sure Dutton Ranch episode 7 actually pulled off a satisfying follow-up. Now that the episode is on Paramount+, let's dissect what did (and didn't) happen.

Dutton Ranch episode 7 starts with a teenage Beulah flashback

Unexpectedly — and in one of the more intriguing creative choices in this episode — we kick episode 7 off with a flashback to Beulah's youth. We see a rancher drop her and two friends off at a Texan bar, which is revealed to be Mariano, Joaquin's father.

Beulah soon hits the dance floor with a young man called Luke, who seemingly makes all the most charming moves possible. Whenever he tries to dominate her in conversation, Beulah gives as good as she gets.

Mariano drinks coffee and talks to a waitress at the bar, who seems incredibly interested in his life. It's then revealed that Luke had paid her $20 to try and ply him with beer and keep him occupied while he took Beulah to a nearby motel and sexually assaulted her.

By the time Mariano finds her, she's standing outside with her dress half torn off, a bloody nose, and only one boot on. "Did you see me fall off that mechanical bull?" Beulah asks him. "Well, that's exactly what you're gonna tell my Daddy."

We also end the episode with another flashback, this time Mariano coming to get Beulah before her father gives a speech at a ranch party (the parallels will make sense the more you read on).

Beulah doesn't want to be there, asking Mariano to instead drive her somewhere. She arrives at Luke's house, shoots him dead, and emerges with her previously lost boot from the night of the assault.

The 10 Petal party gets underway — and is mostly a drama-free affair

In the present day, Beulah is busy organizing the ranch for its 190-year celebrations. She reveals to Joaquin that she will use the party to announce her successor during a speech, with Joaquin being convinced that the responsibility will fall to him.

Rip, Beth and Carter (Finn Little) all get ready for the party, deciding to arrive on horseback rather than having to drive. Beth and Rip soon talk business, while Beulah is left to play the hostess with the mostess... and sneak some quality time in with date Everett (Ed Harris).

Oreana reveals that she's got a new love interest

After the family arrives at the party, Carter makes a beeline for Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind). However, he soon finds her with another guy, who's well-dressed and seemingly comes from money.

When Carter tries to say hello, she completely blanks him and continues her previous conversation. Everett tries to console Carter when he's left standing alone later on, but Oreana soon comes up to him at the bar to ask if he's enjoying the event.

Carter takes his frustrations out on her, claiming that this is someone else she's been dating the entire time behind his back. "Well, if it was, it'd be none of your goddamn business," Oreana replies before leaving.

10 Petal rancher Austin starts to doubt the Jackson family

Across town, Beulah has set up an open tab at the local bar for 10 Petal wranglers, rather than having them cause a scene at her party.

It's a smart decision, with the gang soon starting a fight with other local ranchers who accuse 10 Petal of cheating at a card game... and hiding more secrets than anyone will let on. Azul (J.R. Villarreal) and Zachariah (Marc Menchaca) are also there, and get stuck into the action.

Later on, cleaning up after the mess, 10 Petal rancher Austin admits that he thinks that the naysayers from earlier in the evening are right — with both Wes and Chet now missing, it's clear that the Jacksons are waist-deep in secrets.

The others tell him to forget it and look the other way, which Austin argues is all they've been doing for years. Let's just say it creates a tense atmosphere.

Rob-Will arrives and bullies Beulah into handing 10 Petal over to him — and it works

Oreana calls Beulah inside, who finds Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) sitting at her desk. Oreana was keeping his return to 10 Petal a surprise, having returned to Rio Paloma itself at the end of episode 5.

Rob-Will claims that he's clean (despite swigging vodka from a bottle every 10 seconds) and that if Beulah is announcing her successor tonight, it has to be him. He claims that he's everything she wanted a son to be — clear-eyed, ruthless and "a killer," alluding to the fact that he knows Beulah killed Luke in her youth.

This then becomes a blackmail situation, with Beulah standing firm on not giving in to what Rob-Will is asking. We find out his full name with the next line: "My name is Robert William Jackson III, and this ranch was always going to belong to me," he says in reference to Beulah's grandad who founded it.

When Beulah makes her speech, Joaquin gets ready to hear his name as successor, only for his mother to confirm that Rob-Will will eventually take over the ranch within the next five years.

The crowd is clearly unsettled by the news, with the ranch's latest investor threatening to pull out because Rob-Will is a known drug addict. Beth and Rip look on, concerned.

Joaquin leaves the party almost immediately, claiming that Rob-Will has "f**ked it" for almost everyone involved.

I shouldn't pre-empt my sadness for fictional TV characters, but I'll be devastated when Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch comes to an end on July 3.

My expectations weren't low, but the new Paramount+ series has hugely exceeded them. Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip's (Cole Hauser) dogged loyalty to each other and their shared life gets more satisfying to watch by the minute, and their move to Rio Paloma feels like the clean break from Montana that they sorely needed.

The 10 Petal ranch is also growing on me, too. Clearly Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) is an absolutely psychopath, but matriarch Beulah (Annette Bening) definitely isn't the villain that she was originally made out to be. With Dutton Ranch episode 7 now on the horizon, it's implied that there are still more secrets in the Jackson family than meet the eye.

Luckily for us, star Berto Colón, who plays Miguel on the hit series, has confirmed that I'm correct... so strap in for exactly what we should expect across Dutton Ranch episodes 7-9.

'I'm excited for people's reactions to seeing what's really going on'

"Rip and Beth are on a collision course with Beulah, and there are things that are going to be revealed in the coming weeks," Colón begins. "The Jackson family has some secrets. That final scene with Beth and Beulah in episode 6 is a teaser to what's coming next.

"The power move that the couple make to unite with the Jacksons means there will be some revelations about the things that have kept the ranch going. I'm excited for people's reactions to what's really going on. It's explosive."

If what's to come is explosive, then what does that mean for what we've already seen? From Beth and Rip losing their entire herd of cattle to foot and mouth disease to Carter (Finn Little) being caught up in a police raid with an illegally bought leopard, the series so far hasn't exactly been relaxing.

"Rob-Will is another big one," Colón continues. "There's more to be revealed as far as how the family came to be. "Hold on to your seats... it's gonna be quite a wild ride with everyone involved."

If Dutton Ranch is on the trajectory that I think it is, we could be looking at peak Yellowstone levels of chaos and cliffhangers. I've been missing Taylor Sheridan as a showrunner for the most part, but maybe this is when my mind will be changed for good.

Dutton Ranch episode 7 drops on Paramount+ on June 19, and boy, are we in for a doozy.

Last week, we saw the outcome of Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) arriving back on the scene, leaving Chet (Hart Denton) for dead after a shootout with Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) outside the 10 Petal ranch. Rob-Will claims that a man can only get rejected if he lets himself be pushed over, and starts his plans to wage war on the family who kicked him out.

At the same time, Beulah (Annette Bening) and Beth (Kelly Reilly) score their first business deal together after Beulah agrees to hire Beth as 10 Petal's brand manager. The pair bonded over their shared trauma of families sacrificing everything to uphold a legacy, and that's clearly left an impression on Beulah.

After Beulah hinted that 10 Petal would be throwing a party for its upcoming 190-year anniversary, the Dutton Ranch episode 7 trailer (which you can catch up with below) shows that she's actually going to use the event to announce her successor.

With Rob-Will back in the picture, his reign of brutality might make him seem like the obvious choice. But fans of the Yellowstone spinoff have other ideas.

Dutton Ranch fans think Beulah will hand over 10 Petal to Beth and Rip in episode 7

Yep, you read that correctly: fans are convinced that Beulah is about to hand 10 Petal over to her neighbors-turned-rivals, Beth and Rip (Cole Hauser).

"Beth is the son everyone, including Beulah, wants but never had. Rip storming off with Beth trailing behind indicates trouble at 10P, which wouldn’t be the case if Beulah handed over control to Beth and Rip," one fan wrote on Reddit.

Another argues, "I don't disagree. But, looking at it on the flipside, Rip could also be angry because he doesn't want to own a ranch that is essentially Yellowstone 2.0 with its problems."

And problems there are. Rob-Will's fury in episode 1 stemmed from accusations that he was fixing the ranch's cattle books while in his role as foreman. On top of that, Beulah and Joaquin are trying to hide the fact that Rob-Will has also killed a rancher who allegedly let this slip.

"Zero chance Beulah is actually going to resign; she’s playing her son; she’s not dumb; they are fooling us here or hand it over," a third argues.

Beth and Rip as the new owners isn't too far-fetched, though. Both are currently working for Beulah after losing their own cattle to foot and mouth disease, and they've integrated well into the Jackson way of working.

Beulah clearly has a fondness for them both, alongside the reputation of John Dutton (Kevin Costner). On top of this, it's clear that she's hiding something about her personal life, putting emphasis on the fragility of the future during her conversations with Everett (Ed Harris).

For the Dutton Ranch story to progress, a huge move like this works to further things along. But who knows... truly, anybody could be Beulah's first choice.

Spoilers for Dutton Ranch episode 6 ahead.

Dutton Ranch episode 6 hasn't just left us reeling after one death, but two.

The main bump-off this time around was Chet (Hart Denton), who died after trying to kill Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) in a fit of revenge-fueled rage.

Rocking up to 10 Petal with nothing but a gun and an angry ego courtesy of Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), Chet shot Joaquin in the hand before being killed by rancher Miguel (Berto Colón).

However, Chet wasn't the only dead guy rattling around in the Yellowstone spinoff last week. We were still dealing with the fallout from Dwight's (Ray McKinnon) death during the episode 5 police raid, with Carter (Finn Little) refusing to tell Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) how traumatized he feels.

In fact, Carter is keeping the fact that he ever worked for Dwight at all to himself, given that it would prove he's skipping school on a regular basis.

From Dutton Ranch episode 6 onwards, Dwight's death won't just continue to impact Carter, but another unsuspecting survivor you might have forgotten about.

Now that Dwight is dead, what will happen to his leopard?

The showpiece of Dwight's chaotic-looking yard is the enclosed leopard he keeps at the center of it. In fact, the leopard is our number one witness when Dwight is chased across the grass by a team of armed police officers, with one of them eventually shooting him in the head.

Earlier on in episode 5, Carter brings Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) to get a close-up look, but episode 6 completely neglects that fact that it's presumably still locked up in a cage and not being fed.

"So the bodies are piling up! Naturally, my question is, what's going to happen to the leopard? I hope it won't be left there to starve!" one fan posted on Reddit.

logically, one of two things will happen next. The first option is the least dramatic: that the leopard was turned over to the police during the raid, and will quietly be re-homed off-screen.

"I doubt the leopard will be brought up again. Most likely the police called someone to pick it up and it's already gone," another fan agrees.

The second option is a lot more exciting. Now that Dwight and Carter's stories are intertwined — it's clear that Dwight's words of wisdom will leave a lasting effect on Carter — it's completely possible that the leopard could join the family on Dutton Ranch.

With all of the cattle now gone thanks to the foot and mouth disease outbreak, there's plenty of room for a more exotic animal. Beth and Rip are basically working directly for 10 Petal, so what's stopping Carter bringing a leopard home?

Even with spinoffs Marshals and Dutton Ranch airing this year, nothing truly touches the sides of Yellowstone's impact. All five seasons are streaming on Paramount+, but I've decided to up the ante.

Before his untimely death, John Dutton (Kevin Costner) was a man who knew his land like the back of his hand. The reason for his and the ranch's existence is to protect the family legacy... and now that the surviving Duttons have left the ranch altogether, it's basically up to us to keep John's wishes going.

In order to do so, we need to know the ins and outs of the hit Taylor Sheridan show like we were working the Dutton land like ranchers. To kick us off, I've put together a quiz that only a true Yellowstone fan can handle — so are you up to the challenge?

The Yellowstone spirit isn't completely lost, though. Dutton Ranch is set to run until July 3, with Marshals season 2 returning to screens later in 2026.

The explosive and incredibly chaotic 60-second first look confirms series leads Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman will all be reprising their roles in new episodes.

As the official synopsis explains, "Joe (Saldaña) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange.

"Guided by Kaitlyn (Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe confronts enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life."

Taylor Sheridan is returning to write the series, as well as acting as an executive producer.

Watch the above, and you'll be bombarded with explosions, kidnappings, and the Lioness squad armed with guns storming into abandoned buildings. At first glance, that's exactly like the previous two seasons, with little difference.

But if something isn't broken, you don't fix it — and Lioness delivering more of exactly what fans want is what might make it the strongest and most underrated Taylor Sheridan show of the bunch.

However, there could be a huge change on the horizon... just have to look at what isn't being shown. Joe and husband Neal (Dave Annable) were having serious marital problems in season 2, and judging by their sparse dialogue in the teaser, that could be about to get even worse.

"I'm scared for you... scared the way it became this world," Neal says, with Joe responding, "The world didn't become this way... it's always been this way."

It's another stark reminder of just how different their worlds and opinions are, and I don't know if their relationship is strong enough to survive Joe's genuinely life-or-death missions.

We'll know more on August 2, though we're yet to know just how season 3 episodes will be released.

Spoilers for Dutton Ranch episode 6 ahead.

What do you mean that in the blink of an eye (aka, one episode) Dutton Ranch and 10 Petal ranch have effectively become one unit?

After foot and mouth disease wiped out Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip's (Cole Hauser) entire cattle herd, the pair both reached out to Beulah (Annette Bening) for jobs. Rip is now 10 Petal's foreman, pushing out Chet (Hart Denton), who has taken his firing with all the grace of a reversing dump truck.

Beth is now on hand as Beulah's brand manager, claiming she can turn 10 Petal into a "recession-proof household name" in the next three years.

On top of all of this, Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) has somehow found his way home after a stay at an out-of-state rehab clinic. He's after revenge in order to return to his "rightful" place in the Jackson family.

In a nutshell, that makes this week's cowboy binge on Paramount+ even more chaotic. Dutton Ranch episode 6 is an eye-opening one, to say the least... and we've got a brand-new link to Yellowstone.

Rip oversees new cattle arrival at 10 Petal — and some friendly competition begins

Rip enlists the help of ranchers Azul (J.R. Villarreal) and Zachariah (Marc Menchaca) at 10 Petal when they're expecting a new herd of Angus cows to join the existing cattle.

Azul manages to separate the ones that look as though they might be ill, and for the most part, both Dutton Ranch and 10 Petal teams work together to ensure that the job is done seamlessly.

However, bickering, name-calling and superficial rivalries rear their heads just as quickly, with the 10 Petal boys proposing a one-handed roping competition between the two ranches. Azul and Zachariah win hands-down, claiming a shiny gold belt buckle as a trophy from the youngest 10 Petal rancher.

We also learn that Azul is expecting a baby, and meet his girlfriend for the first time in the opening scene.

Carter tells Oreana that he loves her... and she's not impressed

Carter (Finn Little) is still badly shaken up after Dwight's (Ray McKinnon) death in episode 5, but he's refusing to tell Beth and Rip — that would mean admitting that he's been skipping school to "work" in a drunk man's backyard.

Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) asks Carter to go fishing with her, which Beulah also agrees to. The two discuss life while floating in the river, both claiming that neither want to be owned by families that are seemingly deciding their futures for them.

With his guard down, Carter tells Oreana that he thinks he's in love with her, to with Oreana replies, "I don't think either of us really know what love is."

Before Carter has time to wallow in his rejection, Oreana gets a text on her phone, explaining that they both "have somewhere else they need to be."

Everett spends the night at Beulah's

Earlier that morning, Everett (Ed Harris) is seen waking up at Beulah's house, with the two of them alluding to a "fun" night the night before.

Beulah asks him to stay again the following night, but Everett says that he thinks it's best to sleep in his own bed for the night.

He then brings up that Beulah is planning on hosting a party to celebrating 10 Petal ranch turning 190 years old. Beulah wants Everett there as her date, to which he says that he'd be "honored."

Rob-Will and Chet get revenge on Joaquin with fatal results

After Rob-Will's arrival in episode 5, Chet begins to visit him in a motel. Chat is stewing in his anger after being fired by Rip, telling Rob-Will that he's given his entire life to the Jacksons — and hidden all of their secrets — for nothing in return.

Rob-Will claims that a man can only get rejected if he lets himself be pushed over, and starts his plans to wage war on the family who kicked him out. This involves getting a bunch of guns from a dodgy-looking dealer, who Chet has to talk Rob-Will out of killing.

Later that night, Chet waits in the bushes outside the 10 Petal ranch and jumps Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba), who is waiting for Rip. He launches into a speech about how badly Joaquin and 10 Petal have treated him, shooting Joaquin in the hand and bringing him to his knees.

As Joaquin begs for his life and Chet lines up another fatal shot, rancher Miguel (Berto Colón) fires a bullet into Chet's head, killing him instantly.

Rip finds out the truth about Wes' death

Just as Chet is killed, Rip arrives on the driveway. Joaquin explains that Chet had "issues" with his termination, but Rip doesn't ask any questions. Instead, he offers to take Joaquin to get his hand fixed away from prying eyes.

On the drive, Rip pulls over and asks Joaquin who put Wes' (Nakoa DeCoite) body on Dutton property. Joaquin confesses that Wes was a 10 Petal rancher who also acted as Rob-Will and Chet's dealer. He claims that "things went too far" and that Rob-Will is "a fool."

"I know a lot of fools, but none of them are killers," Rip replies. He reveals that Joaquin's private doctor is Everett, who bond over Beulah while sorting out the gunshot wound.

Beth and Beulah secure their first business deal — but Jamie's Yellowstone death changes the tone

But where have Beth and Beulah been in all of this? Out of town on business, with Beulah taking Beth on a private jet to meet a potential new client in Zane Nash, who's in charge of supplying food to the majority of hotels in Texas.

Beth explains that men like him, who have come from nothing to make something, make deals "in the detail," and that preparation is important. Zane initially dismisses the pair to be just like any other offer that comes through his office, but after being vulnerable about their separate histories and winning Zane over on a personal level, the deal is done.

In the bar that evening, Beulah and Beth muse on the similarities that their families have, which eventually leads to taking in "wayward sons."

"Joaquin, Carter... Jamie Dutton," Beulah says, which snaps Beth back into defensive mode. "I don't think about him anymore," Beth responds.

Beulah says that she can see why Beth doesn't, but then alludes to the fact that it is strange Jamie's disappearance was never accounted for. This essentially implies that Beulah know's more than she's letting on about Jamie's fatal Yellowstone death.

"I don't think about that either," Beth snaps back, as the two settle into an uncomfortable silence and the scene fades to black.

In April 2026 — a month before Dutton Ranch made its Paramount+ debut — it was reported that showrunner Chad Feehan had exited the series following alleged "behind-the-scenes friction with series stars Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly, as well as 'other key players' such as Taylor Sheridan."

Puck News added, "Feehan finished the first season but has been told he won’t return for the second, per three sources. (I think the feeling was mutual and Feehan likely would have bailed anyway.)

"This was less of a pure creative issue, I’m told — the scripts were good, and after some work on the cut, Paramount is confident in the show — and more about how Feehan ran the production. Sheridan, producer David Glasser, and the stars weren’t happy, so Feehan’s out, and Sheridan and Glasser will likely elevate another season 1 writer to the showrunner gig."

Hauser cryptically denied any friction exclusively to TechRadar, explaining before the show's premiere, "Taylor's got his hands all over this show. That's the only way he knows how to do things.

"Look, you're gonna go through your ups and downs, through this business, and it's about adapting. That's what we did."

Five episodes of the Yellowstone spinoff down and another star has come to Hauser's aide, claiming that there was "no disruption" while stars were on set.

'As actors, we're there to complete the task'

"Not at all," Berto Colón, who plays Miguel on Dutton Ranch, confirms when I ask if he felt as though the Chad Feehan rumors had any truth to them.

"I met Chad a bunch of times, but I don't know what the deal is. That's something that's above my pay grade. As actors, we're there to make sure that we complete a task and to make sure we complete it as truthfully as possible.

He continues, "The ongoings that happen behind the scenes is something that I'm not involved with, but as far as energy and what we did, everyone who came on board, tuned into what the story needed to be like."

"I didn't see any disruption of that process. I just love everyone there. I love what that they're about."

As Dutton Ranch season 2 hasn't been confirmed as of writing, we're yet to see which new showrunner would step into Feehan's shoes. Rumors suggest a lead writer would be picked from the job, but if you've followed my week-on-week coverage, you'll know that I'm advocating for Sheridan to resume the position himself (he's currently an executive producer).

As for a renewal, Colón says "There needs to be a continuation to this. I don't have any actual carnal knowledge of that, I just know that the numbers speak for themselves. If any show deserves a few more seasons, it's this one."

Dutton Ranch will continue airing its first nine episodes until July 3.

In the blink of an eye, the dynamics in Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch have completely changed.

Last week, episode 5 saw Rip (Cole Hauser) take on the job as foreman at rival ranch 10 Petal, ousting Chet (Hart Denton) from his temporary position.

On top of that, Beth (Kelly Reilly) propositioned Beulah (Annette Bening) to take her on as a brand manager, claiming she can turn 10 Petal into a "recession-proof household name" in the next three years.

This means the trio are now an unstable alliance, but there's clearly more behind 10 Petal than meets the eye, much of it connected to Beulah's sons, the unhinged Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) and the hitman-like Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba).

Now that Rob-Will has magically reappeared after being shipped off to an out-of-state rehab, all hell is on the cusp of breaking loose.

But according to one popular fan theory, he's not the brother that we need to be watching out for — because Joaquin could connect us straight to the cartel we've already seen in Landman.

Dutton Ranch and Landman could be linked by the Texas cartel if there's a 'bigger villain' than Beulah

Up until episode 5, it's seemed as though Beulah was the only "big bad" in Dutton Ranch, but now that her defences appear to have been weakened, that's clearly not the case.

Combine this with the trouble Rob-Will has got in by allegedly "fiddling" the ranch's books and how cagey Joaquin is being about protecting the business at all costs, and there must be bigger trouble afoot.

Most of this seems to be surrounding money, steering us to the logical conclusion that the cartel will be after 10 Petal directly if they continue to sink into decline.

Why the cartel? Well, Taylor Sheridan has already introduced them to Texas in Landman.

When we first meet Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) in season 1, he's being held against his will by a bunch of shady guys until they agree to ransom terms. With Tommy's life continuously in a precarious position, the threat of something bad happening never goes away.

So if the theories ares right, and episodes 6-9 of Dutton Ranch reveal that Beulah is hiding bigger secrets than we've realized, is a Landman crossover possible?

As ever with hit Taylor Sheridan shows, anything is possible... and I wouldn't be surprised if we see some minor Landman characters pop in to say hello, at the very least.

Just when I thought that the Dutton Ranch drama was settling down, another curveball came out of nowhere. In episode 5, that's Rip (Cole Hauser) taking on the job as foreman at rival ranch 10 Petal, ousting Chet (Hart Denton) out of his temporary position.

But by the end of the episode, the Duttons had doubled-down on their ties to the Jackson family. We saw Beth (Kelly Reilly) proposition Beulah (Annette Bening) to take her on as a brand manager, claiming that she can turn 10 Petal into a "recession-proof household name" in the next three years.

For now, at least, it seems as if the trio are working as one. But as Beulah tells son Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) later, she thinks having both Rip and Beth onboard will be useful. "They have secrets, and I've learned that people who have secrets can be useful," she points out.

So we can't quite call this an alliance just yet, as ulterior motives are bubbling under the surface. We could say that that is an act of desperation from Beth and Rip, losing all their cattle to foot and mouth disease for the first time since leaving Yellowstone.

But what if we've been looking at this — and the diseased bull the pair bought at the episode 2 cattle auction — the wrong way? What if it's inevitable that Dutton Ranch and 10 Petal are set to merge into one on the Paramount+ show, and the clues have been under our noses the entire time?

Dutton Ranch's diseased bull might have been meant for Beulah all along — and a proper alliance is coming

Up until now, my theory has been that the diseased bull was planted at the cattle auction by Beulah. She was in a bidding war with Rip until she pulled out at the last minute, which implied that Beulah knew something that Rip didn't.

But what if she genuinely didn't want to go over $10,000 and Rip was actually the fall guy for something not meant for him?

"I just realised the Diseased Bull was wasn't meant for Dutton Ranch... it was for 10 Petal," one Reddit thread reads. Whoever forged the bull documents wanting to do biological warfare didn't expect Beth to outbid Beulah."

This argument makes total sense. Beulah has a lot of enemies in Rio Paloma, and Rob-Will's (Jai Courtney) behaviour is only making family relations worse. This could be linked back to the wife of dead rancher Wes (Nakoa DeCoite), who was killed at Rob-Will's hands.

On top of this, Beulah is clearly starting to wear down. Exhausted and taking on more than she can control, she's arguably an easy target in a vulnerable state.

Another fan adds, "I reckon there's a chance that Beulah and Beth will end up on the same side, possibly in the season finale. There's a reason that they brought Rob-Will back in the latest episode and I think it connects to a bigger common enemy that will reveal itself in time. Given that the 10P cattle is of Mexican origin, the bigger threat might be a cartel."

"Both women seem to have an affinity for each other despite their hostility and it may turn out to be a good thing that instead of the typical main character against another one," a third weighs in. "Maybe they do actually team up against someone else which would be an exciting and ‘unpredictable’ change."

Personally, I don't hate this change in direction. There's clearly similarities between Beth and Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind), so perhaps the two families coming together could benefit them... and us.

We're halfway through Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch, and fan opinion is strong. The good news is that we're moving on from the brutal and bleak culling that was Dutton Ranch episode 4. The bad news? the road to redemption for Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) isn't exactly straightforward.

Last week on the Yellowstone spinoff, the pair had to kill all of their cattle after the bull they bought at auction in episode 2 was found to be diseased with foot and mouth. It was as grim to watch as it is to read, and it effectively leaves Beth and Rip with nothing but acres of empty land.

Elsewhere, Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) has effectively been put on house arrest by Beulah (Annette Bening), and is unable to go anywhere without a chaperone. On top of that, Beulah is trying to rekindle a past romance with Everett (Ed Harris), which he surprisingly seems open to.

This week, however, an unexpected truce is about to be formed in episode 5 (now on Paramount+) that could change the shape of Dutton Ranch as we know it.

Rip and Beulah broker a foreman deal for 10 Petal Ranch

Episode 5 begins with Everett bringing Rip to meet Beulah. She's apparently asked to see him, though son Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) seems surprised to see the pair turn up relatively unannounced.

In her office, Rip explains that he's been told everything about 10 Petal ranch's problems now that stand-in foreman Chet (Hart Denton) is at the helm. Having worked for John Dutton for 25 years at Yellowstone, he's neither fazed by the idea of helping nor the size of the land.

Beulah says that there's no better endorsement in the country than John Dutton, claiming that she needs someone who works her land and boys efficiently and quietly. "People in Rio Paloma love to gossip," she adds, unaware that Rip already knows about dead rancher Wes (Nakoa DeCoite) from episode 1.

Rip starts work the next morning, which goes down with Chet like a sack of spuds. While he routinely complains that jobs he "was getting to" are now being done immediately, the other ranchers have no problem defaulting to Rip's status.

Beth starts to hatch a plan

Beth, meanwhile, isn't exactly thrilled that Rip has found work at 10 Petal. She instead offers to find work in Dallas or New York, to which Rip refuses. She has a heart-to-heart with Zachariah (Marc Menchaca), admitting that John would have "loved" him.

She's got a plan to get Dutton Ranch back on track, but it's a thin one. Pouring over printouts and articles online, she seems to be digging dirt on what has happened to local land over the past few decades... and some of that might be Beulah's.

Rip digs up dirt on Wes as Chet gets fired

Once Rip brings the ranchers back to base, Chet is told to "get your paycheck and get the f**k out of here." None of the other boys stand up for him, which causes Chet to leave in a blaze of fury, slamming the door behind him on his way out.

Rip takes some time out to talk to Austin (Sterlin English), who Chet beat to a bloody pulp in episode 3. He asks who Wes is, with Austin repeating the agreed line among 10 Petal that he suddenly took off in the night. Austin also reveals that Wes' wife and child have also disappeared.

Carter gets arrested after Dwight dies in a police raid

Meanwhile, Carter has been spending more time with drunk local Dwight (Ray McKinnon), working his land and learning how to do odd jobs. He invites Oreana over to see the illegally kept leopard on Dwight's property (apologies to anyone who read my episode 4 recap... I don't know how you can forget an exotic animal knocking about in Texas).

The pair have beers, but just as Oreana gets going, her chaperone whisks her away. "That woman is gonna break your heart into 1000 pieces, and it's gonna be the best feeling you've ever had," Dwight tells Carter, which feels like a premonition of things to come.

Later on in the episode, Carter is changing a light bulb in the barn when the police suddenly storm the property. Dwight tells Carter that he'll be okay, but makes a run for it. By the time Carter catches up with him, the police have opened fire, killing Dwight.

Carter is arrested by the same officer who threatened him in episode 3, and is taken to the station. There, he's told that Dwight was a shady guy, known for thieving and owing a lot of people a lot of money.

When Carter replies that it wasn't a reason to kill him, the officer makes a thinly-veiled threat — smart boys don't ask dumb questions, and if Carter is smart, he can leave.

Carter calls Oreana for a ride, who picks him up on the side of the road.

Beth offers Beulah an unexpected deal as Rob-Will returns

Unaware that Carter is in trouble, Beth heads to Beulah's house. Rip hasn't come home for dinner as he's been goaded into sharing a feast with Beulah herself, but that's not why Beth wants to see her.

Over whisky, the pair discuss how best to preserve legacy, and how Beulah is coping with keeping a calm head while managing a 200-year-old cattle empire. There's an unusual amount of compliments thrown around until Beth gets to the crux of her point.

Having unearthed reports of 10 Petal land being stolen and surviving a drought that left finances in bad shape (remember those printouts?) Beth says she knows that the ranch is at breaking point. Money is non-existent, and they need to rebrand in order to "survive or die."

Beth's offer? Hire her as a brand manager, and she can turn 10 Petal into a "recession-proof household name," within the next three years. Beulah initially doesn't agree that the ranch needs to change at all, convinced it will survive. But as she tells Joaquin later, she thinks having both Rip and Beth onboard will be useful. "They have secrets, and I've learned that people who have secrets can be useful," she points out.

Elsewhere, Chet is relaxing with a female friend at home when he gets a knock on the door. It's Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), who is supposed to be in rehab. The two conspire to get back to where they want to be... at any cost.

First there was The Big Bang Theory, then there was Young Sheldon. Now, we have HBO Max spinoff Stuart Fails to Save the Universe to look forward to in late July, and shortly after that, the return of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage for season 3.

Making a spinoff of a spinoff feels like a very Sheldon Cooper thing to do, and after Young Sheldon season 7, it was certainly a decision that made sense. For the past two seasons, we've followed the marriage of Sheldon's older brother Georgie (Montana Jordan) to accidental cougar Mandy (Emily Osment).

There might be a 12 year age gap between them, but these days, their emotions and maturity levels feel well-matched. Here's what we know about the return of the multi-cam sitcom, including when we can expect Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 3 episodes to arrive on Paramount+.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 3 release date predictions

Based on CBS' Fall 2026 lineup (which you can see below), season 3 will continue in the show's usual Thursday slot at 8pm ET. What we don't know yet is exactly when the new season will kick off, but based on past premieres, we can estimate that episodes will debut in October 2026. Episodes will then be available to stream the day after airing on Paramount+.

Again, we can expect a lengthy mid-season break before the season picks back up in early 2027.

The real point of intrigue will be to see if Sheldon (Iain Armitage) well eventually make his way back to Medford after leaving Texas for CalTech at the end of Young Sheldon season 7. So far, he has not returned to the spinoff.

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage season 3 plot predictions

Based on season 2 episodes, we can expect the rivalry between Georgie and Fred Fagenbacher to continue, while Mandy persists in the pursuit of her own career.

CeeCee is now much older, so it would be smart to use her more in upcoming episodes. But unlike The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage isn't as bound by show lore, meaning creators could take the story almost anywhere.

Of course, based on what we learn about adult Georgie in TBBT, Georgie and Mandy will be splitting at some point. However, I imagine that CBS will be keen to keep this spinoff going for as long as possible, so don't expect a divorce announcement just yet.

On May 27, an article from The Hollywood Reporter claimed that if MobLand season 3 were renewed, it would begin shooting later this year — but behavior from star Tom Hardy had "spooked producers."

The source alleged, “He refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time. He kept the cast waiting, [which is] a power play. Keeping Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and others waiting is career suicide, I would wager.”

However, a separate source has since told Variety, “Tom was not fired, the door is not closed for season 3 and things are being worked through creatively."

Helen Mirren later posted a message of support on Instagram, reading "love you now and always, Helen."

Hardy plays Harry Da Souza in the series co-directed by Guy Ritchie, who is a fixer for the Harrigan crime family led by Conrad (Brosnan) and Maeve (Mirren).

The news comes before MobLand season 2 has even been released, with a predicted release window of late 2026 (though this has yet to be confirmed by Paramount+).

With new episodes not having been released yet, we're yet to know what Da Souza's storyline is for the next installment of MobLand and how much Hardy appears onscreen.

But what do the above tumultuous rumors really mean for a potential season 3 renewal?

Opinion: Tom Hardy drama likely won't impact potential MobLand season 3 renewal by Paramount+

With a practical head on, Hardy's rumors will likely not have much impact on the renewal of MobLand season 3. As we've seen with the likes of Kevin Costner in Yellowstone, if a studio wants a new season of a show with high viewership figures and demand, they'll find a way to make it work, no matter who is in its cast.

Depending on how heavily Hardy is featured in season 2 would determine how easy a story change, or a write-out, would be. Hardy is also one of three A-list heavyweights the show focuses on, and if Brosnan and Mirren stay put, the overall impact on audiences is likely to be minimized.

If we take the rumors and sources at their word, all of this speculation will be for nothing. A renewal announcement will be made, episodes will be shot, and the leading trio will continue on as if headlines never existed in the first place.

If things change or are more unstable than they appear, a number of things could happen. Hardy could be recast, killed off, or even omitted as the Harrigan crime dynasty takes on a new shape. Worst case, the show gets canceled altogether.

My guess? The former. Experience tells us that rumors are hit and miss when it comes to telling the truth, and there's enough staying in MobLand's favor, regardless of Hardy, for the Paramount+ show to continue.

We're only four episodes into new Yellowstone spinoff series Dutton Ranch, but Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip's (Cole Hauser) world is already falling from under their feet.

After the bull that the couple bought at the cattle auction turned out to be diseased, their entire cattle herd came down with cow foot and mouth disease.

From there, it was all hands on deck to shoot them all in episode 4, and dispose of them in a makeshift mass grave the size of an Olympic swimming pool. Yes, that was a grisly to watch as it is to read.

Not only did fans find this (understandably upsetting), but an eagle-eyed few have noticed a "rookie mistake" that could have saved endless cattle lives if changed — including the cute yet terrified calf we see left standing right at the end.

Dutton Ranch fans think Beth and Rip's new bull should have been quarantined before being introduced to the herd

"I'm a little frustrated as someone who has grown up and raised livestock for a good majority of my life," one fan explains on Reddit.

"Wouldn't it have made more sense to quarantine that bull for the standard two weeks to a month before putting them in their herd? From a livestock standpoint... how the hell did they not even consider a quarantine period?"

They continue, "I feel like that was such a rookie mistake, even with falsified documents. I feel like Beth and Rip should've known a lot better, considering the fragility of their new operation and recuperating from the last. It doesn't make sense to me the decisions. Even the previous episode when they just put the bull in, I was wondering what the hell they were thinking".

"That little red cow broke my heart, and it seemed like such a needless death. I'm not really sure how this is progressing the plot, unless they plan on basically taking over 10 Petals. Just kind of alarming, disappointing, and its going to get tiring if they just keep losing the same thing every few episodes."

It's a damning takedown, but a noteworthy one. The disease outbreak has been the dramatic anchor of both episodes 3 and 4, giving rival rancher Beulah (Annette Bening) an effortless upper hand. Beth and Rip starting over in Rio Paloma was never going to be straightforward, and where Duttons are concerned, drama never slows down.

But the logic does stand that as seasoned ranchers, there's no way that this should have happened. Beth and Rip have shown time and time again that they can go into something new with all guns blazing and still be in total control. However, there's always the question of creative license.

"I think sometimes we put too much thought into these shows," another fan argues. "It’s all for the effects. They wanted the drama of Rip having to destroy the herd and beat up white underwear man along with blowing up his trailer, so we can get the iconic scene of Beth and Rip walking away from the trailer as it exploded. Nobody would watch a show about quarantining a cow for two weeks."

"Hitchcock said it well. There’s no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it," another weighs in.

Beth and Rip are likely being set up by 10 Petal ranch... otherwise why did Beulah pull out from bidding on the bull at the last-minute? It might not have been the best practice, but last week's cow cull is definitely leading to something much bigger.

Spider-Noir (Prime Video)

Nic Cage fans, listen up! The hardworking, talented, and eccentric A-lister is not only back on your screens, but also getting his Spider-Man on again in this Prime Video live-action show, which is already out in full.

Stepping back into the shoes of this series' eponymous hero Spider-Noir (NB: this isn't the same iteration that Cage voiced in Sony's Spider-Verse films), the Amazon TV Original introduces us to superpowered private investigator Ben Reilly. Set during the prohibition era, the aging and down on his luck detective must un-retire as his superhuman alter-ego to crack a case that threatens New York's residents and the city itself.

A noir crime thriller masquerading as a superhero project, Spider-Noir is available to stream in color, as well as black and white. Personally, I'll be opting for the latter option this weekend to fully immerse myself in Spider-Noir's grimy, morally ambiguous world. — TP

Scream 7 (Paramount+)

Ghostface is back — again. That's right, the iconic masked killer returned for yet another round of slasher fare in Scream 7, which has finally dropped on Paramount Plus following its theatrical debut earlier this year.

This time, Neve Campbell's Sidney comes face-to-face with a new Ghostface when the latter targets Sidney's daughter Tatum (Isabel May). Campbell isn't the only individual reprising their role from a previous Scream movie, either, as she's joined by the likes of David Arquette and Courteney Cox for more horror-based action and drama.

A film shrouded in controversy following the firing of Melissa Barrera, plus the departures of fellow new and popular additions to the franchise including Jenna Ortega, Scream 7 doesn't seem to live up to past installments in the series. Still, I'm sure diehard Scream fans will get a kick out of what's on offer. — TP

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder season 2 (Netflix)

Don't you just love when a viral book series gets adapted into an equally viral TV show? That's what happened with A Good Girl's Guide to Murder , whose first season debut in 2024 and is now back for its sophomore season on Netflix.

This time, ever-inquisitive Pip (Emma Myers) is dealing with the ramifications of discovering who really killed Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies), including releasing a popular true-crime podcast about the investigation. I thought this film was f*****g big in Germany? If you went absolutely feral during Brat summer like me, Charli XCX's mockumentary The Moment , which is out now on HBO Max, is the ideal way to keep reliving it.

Here, we follow a fictional popstar (played by Charli XCX) before her arena tour kicks off, exploring the cost of what it truly takes to stay on top. Expect cameos from Rachel Sennott, Alexander Skarsgård, and a quite brilliantly cast Rosanna Arquette to name just three. Can Brat summer truly be a forever thing? Probably... it's just not going to look anything like this. — JV

Deli Boys season 2 (Hulu/Disney+)

Want a comedy series you can binge in under a day? Deli Boys season 2 has you covered. In season 1, brothers Raj (Saagar Shaikh) and Mir Dar (Asif Ali) found out that their late dad's local convenience store was actually a front for an international drug ring, which the pair have inherited.

In its follow-up, they're making so much money that local casino owner-turned-money launderer Max Sugar (Fred Armisen) is enlisted to help "clean" the boys' money, though Max falls in love with no-nonsense Aunt Lucky (Poorna Jagannathan) instead.

With Andrew Rannells also joining the cast as unhinged politician Andrew Chadwater, season 2 is an even bigger, bolder and more absurd version of its debut. Check it out now on Hulu and Disney+. — JV

Following young aviation enthusiast Jeff (Clark Shotwell) and his mother, we embark with them on a cross-country flight to Hollywood that transforms into a life-changing journey filled with unexpected moments.

In the most unexpected twist, the movie is the directorial debut of one John Travolta. Don't be too shocked: this is all based on a children's book he released back in 1997. Still, I can see a lot of Grease fans getting their kids to tune in. — JV

Spoilers for Dutton Ranch episode 4 ahead.

The moment that Dutton Ranch episode 3 introduced a potential cow foot-and-mouth disease epidemic across Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip's (Cole Hauser) cattle, it was clear that episode 4 was about to take a dark turn.

Unsurprisingly, I was right, but it's not the be-all and end-all of drama in Rio Paloma, Texas. Everett (Ed Harris) and wrangler Azul (J.R. Villarreal) are still the friendlier faces of the bunch, but rival ranch 10 Petal and its owner Beulah's (Annette Bening) focus is shifting to unruly Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) now that the monstrous Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) is out of the way... for now.

Having watched a lot of Yellowstone and standalone Taylor Sheridan shows, I don't think that there has ever been a more brutal episode ending across the entire Sheridanverse than what we see this week in Dutton Ranch episode 4 on Paramount+ — so don't say that you weren't warned.

Beth catches Carter and Oreana in bed — but it could be the start of an unlikely alliance

Understanding what needs to happen on the ranch and wanting to protect Carter (Finn Little) from experiencing it, Beth heads home to take him to school — only to find Oreana on top of him in his bed. Beth quickly establishes that she's a Jackson, and things become bristly when Oreana tells her that Carter "should get to decide for himself" if he wants to go to school.

Though Carter offers, Beth drops Oreana home, talking about Beulah along the way. It's clear that Oreana feels oppressed in the Jackson household, which is something Beth can sympathize with. "You don't seem like the kind of woman who follows rules," Beth tells her, which brings a cautious smile to Oreana's face.

When Beth drops her outside of the house, Beulah is waiting. She tells Beth that the pair have got off on the wrong foot, and invites her inside for a drink so that they can "start again." Beth immediately refuses, and drives off.

At home, Beulah's bodyguard is told to watch over Oreana's every move so that she cannot leave the house in a bid to preserve the Jackson family's reputation. She's also no longer allowed to drive — if she wants to go somewhere, somebody else needs to take her.

Beulah makes her move on Everett

Everett receives a call that there is a pregnant mare at 10 Petal Ranch, but when he arrives to inspect it, Chet (Hart Denton) tells him that there's no such thing. In a matter of seconds, Everett figures out the call has been a hoax, and that he has been lured there under false pretences.

He finds Beulah on the porch, and she confirms that this was the only way that she could have got him to visit the house. She invites him to stay for a drink, which he does. We see their conversation split into multiple scenes across the episode, but it's the final one where Beulah makes her bid for romance.

She asks Everett if he pictured something bigger than Rio Paloma, a version of life that they can both grab onto before they're too old. "Is that a question or an invitation?" Everett asks, to which Beulah replies, "A little bit of both."

Everett is clearly hesitant, but there's a warmth between them... so we can expect a full-blown romance to blossom across the next five episodes.

Carter gets a job behind Beth and Rip's back

After being caught with Oreana, Carter takes off on his own. He arrives at a local supply store and asks around for any local rancher job vacancies. Without his own horse or supplies, people seem reluctant to take him on, but one man overhears Carter asking the guy behind the counter and offers him low pay and meals in exchange for "becoming the donkey."

We don't learn this man's name, but we do know that he seems like a bit of a maverick. Sitting in a golf buggy while drinking a beer, he has Carter moving around bags of food, coaches him through cattle lasso practice, and even teaches him how to shoot.

When Beth calls, Carter pretends to be at school. "This is school, son... this is the school of life," the man is seen telling him. Parts of his life story come out in the vaguely confusing way drunk people seem to tell stories, so he is mostly still an enigma at this point.

Dutton Ranch has to shoot its entire herd of cattle

Since the beginning of episode 4, we've known that this is the moment that Beth, Rip, Azul (J.R. Villarreal), and Zachariah (Marc Menchaca) must kill every single one of their cattle. It's confirmed that cow foot and mouth disease has hit all of them, with every cow having red eyes and a frothy white mouth.

That afternoon, Rip devises a plan for what to do: the cattle must be herded into a pre-dug burial pit, with cows being shot from above by the team. Rip says that if Azul or Zachariah want to back out, he won't think any less of them — but each doubles down on wanting to help.

Once the pit is dug, we watch hundreds of cows packed like sardines into a pit that seems like the size of an Olympic swimming pool. The shooting starts, though we only see Beth and Rip shooting guns rather than what's actually happening.

This seemingly continues for hours, until only one calf is left standing. We see its tiny little confused face as it stands in the pit full of its dead friends, and then it's curtains.

Beth buys a jug full of vodka as a "funeral" for what has happened, with both Beth and Rip needing to decompress individually before they can console each other.

Rip lays into the local cattle auctioneer as Carter and Beth butt heads

When Carter returns home and finds out what has happened on the ranch that day, he is furious. He claims that he should have been there to help, and if Beth wants him to be a rancher, he should be experiencing what has to happen first-hand.

"What happened today wasn't ranching," Beth tells him, and openly admits that she is trying to protect him. This makes Carter feel even more infantilized, and he storms off to his room.

Before this happens, Beth and Rip pay a visit to the local cattle auctioneer, who was responsible for selling them the diseased bull that caused the outbreak.

With Rip believing that the man knowingly sold diseased cattle, the auctioneer is beaten to a bloody pulp while Beth watches on. The two drive away, soaking in the horrors of what has happened.

Compared to the first two episodes, Dutton Ranch episode 3 almost feels like a walk in the park. Well, at least it does to everyone except Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser), who have just discovered an outbreak of foot and mouth disease among their cattle.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I'm convinced that rival ranch 10 Petal has something to do with it. Back in episode 2, the pair took on no-nonsense rancher Beulah (Annette Bening) in a cattle auction battle for a bull, with Beulah pulling out at the last minute.

It's now suspected that said bull is responsible for the disease outbreak... but did Beulah know anything about an unvetted auction entry? Given what else is happening on 10 Petal ranch, it's absolutely possible.

While secretive Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) has been tailing Beth while she tries to secure business in Dallas, troublesome Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) already has Carter (Finn Little) wrapped around her little fingers. But in episode 3 of the Yellowstone spinoff, one Jackson family member is missing.

Of course, that's hot-headed Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), who has been shipped off to an out-of-state rehab after killing a wrangler during a drug-fuelled rage. Oops!

We've got no idea when he'll be returning to future episodes on Paramount+, but judging by fan reaction, the later the better — or in fact, not at all.

Dutton Ranch fans are hoping that Rob-Will is killed by the end of the season... because of his name

Take a quick scan through the Dutton Ranch Reddit thread, and you'll find an unsurprising takeaway: most fans can't decide how they feel about Rob-Will.

With minimal screentime, he's already managed to commit murder, be fudging his cattle figures on 10 Petal's books, make racist and homophobic threats to Rip's wrangler, Azul (J.R. Villarreal), and just generally be an all-around loser.

Watching Joaquin ship him off to rehab felt like an early celebration, though Rob-Will is convinced he'll be back in no time.

But alongside his jerk behavior, there's another "dumb" reason why fans want to see the back of him — they cannot stand his name.

"I really like this show, much more than I expected to," one fan remarks. "But I find myself hoping Rob-Will doesn't survive the first season. And not because he's such an a-hole, but because it's the dumbest name for a TV character I've heard in a very long time!"

Another weighs in, "Southerners love the two-name thing, but Rob Will??? Ugh. Bobby Bill would have at least sort of made sense and sounded a tad better."

"Omg I'm right there with you. It's literally the dumbest name I've ever heard," a third agrees.

But others think the name Rob-Will is foreshadowing for the Jackson family dynamics to come.

"The name is something. I like how dislikeable his character is tbh. Will be interesting to see how the family dynamic plays out between Beulah, Rob-Will, and Oreana," one weighs in.

Another adds, "When Beulah was screaming his name in the house, at first I thought she was saying Roswell… because wtf is Rob-Will?! On another note, I think I’ll probably love-hate the character because I love Jai Courtney."

We'll be seeing Rob-Will return in the next few Dutton Ranch episodes, mark my words. It won't be pretty, either. As one fan aptly sums up, "I see the first 'passenger' to Rip's new train station [the Dutton's body dump site in Yellowstone]."

Remember the bull Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) bought at the cattle auction in episode 2? Well, consider him the first big Chekhov's Gun of Dutton Ranch.

Even though Beth has been hawking for big-name clients in Dallas, Rip is in a world of trouble when he finds a diseased cow abandoned on the ranch fields. If Yellowstone taught us anything, this is just the tip of a terrible iceberg.

I'm not sure if Marshals: A Yellowstone Story has been exactly what Yellowstone fans expected from a Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) spinoff, but nonetheless, it's been renewed for a second season.

The news came as season 1 was still airing, which followed Kayce, "combining his skills as a cowboy and a Navy SEAL to bring justice to Montana."

"He and his teammates must balance family, duty, and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence," as Paramount+ explained before release... and boy did we get a healthy helping of that.

The Marshals have been involved in fatal kidnappings, John Dutton (Kevin Costner)-style Western rivalries, and sadly, the off-screen killing of Kayce's estranged ex, Monica (Kelsey Asbille).

But what can we expect from Marshals: A Yellowstone Story season 2, and when can we expect it?

Luckily, we already know roughly when Marshals will be making its return. Season 2 will be scheduled for CBS's Fall 2026 block, meaning we will see new episodes from (hopefully) September onwards.

The number of episodes in season 2 hasn't been confirmed, but there's no reason to suggest that there should be any changes from the show's lucky 13.

Marshals: A Yellowstone Story season 2 plot predictions

Because Marshals is a more procedural format than other Taylor Sheridan shows, we can expect largely more of the same, in short.

As star Logan Marshall-Green told TV Insider when production started in May 2026, "we’re dogging, right out of the gate, about seven, eight pages a day.

"Season 2 will pick up right where we left off, literally and figuratively. No rest for the wicked.”

We can expect more concrete details in the weeks following the season 1 finale.

Will Marshals ever cross over with Dutton Ranch?

For the diehard Yellowstone fans among us, having two spinoffs in the same year — Marshals and Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip's (Cole Hauser) Dutton Ranch — means there should be a natural crossover.

According to Reilly, it's not out of the question. "Anything is possible with Taylor. Anything," the star told us. "You would hope that there would be some crossover at some point between Beth and Kayce, that they would just be in each other's lives even though they've both moved on and are doing other things.

"We definitely needed a break from Yellowstone. But I think, at some point, seeing Kayce and Beth together would really be something."

The Bride! (HBO Max)

The Bride!, Maggie Gyllenhaal's divisive Frankenstein-inspired movie that I attempted to defend in my impassioned piece, is out now on HBO Max.

Those wanting a loyal adaptation of Mary Shelley's work won't find it here, but you will find an intriguing gothic romance set against a 1930s Chicago backdrop. You'll also find stellar performances from Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale. No surprises there.

You've seen Stranger Things, now get ready for The Boroughs.

The Duffer Brothers are the executive producers of this new Netflix show and, this time, we follow the residents of a retirement community rather than local kids. Although the subjects are at the opposite end of the age spectrum, the vibes are similar, with a group of unlikely heroes banding together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing time. At their age, it's a precious commodity indeed.

With a great cast comprising Bill Pullman, Geena Davis, Clarke Peters, Alfred Molina, Alfre Woodard, Denis O'Hare, and Jena Malone, this could be the perfect show to binge. — LB

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War (Prime Video)

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, one of Prime Video's most underrated shows, has finally made its way from the small screen to the big screen, in the form of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War. John Krasinski resumes the titular role... but this time, he's heading across the pond.

Indeed, we see Jack reunite with CIA operatives to navigate betrayal from an enemy who "knows their moves and faces a past once thought settled," as Amazon explains. In short, expect big action on an international scale.

What I particularly like here is that Ghost War is very subtly bringing back the 'Cool Britannia' aesthetic by casting Sienna Miller as its leading lady. Why did we have to stop doing that in the 2010s? — Jasmine Valentine, entertainment reporter

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed (Apple TV)

Apple has been on a TV show-based tear recently. Indeed, from Margo's Got Money Troubles to Widow's Bay, the tech giant's streaming platform has been my go-to for small-screen offerings over the last few months.

Its latest TV Original — Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed — looks like it'll keep me glued to Apple TV, too. Billed as a dark comedy crime-thriller, it stars Tatiana Maslany as Paula, a divorced fact checker and mom of one who gets caught up in a web of lies and murder after she's blackmailed by a camboy.

Truthfully, I'll watch anything that the supremely talented Maslany is in. But, with Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed launching to near-universally positive reviews, I'll be even more locked in to a Maslany-led project than usual. — TP

Is This Thing On? (Disney+)

I first saw Is This Thing On? last October, and I'm still laughing at the fact that it's inspired by the life of UK comedian John Bishop.

Will Arnett plays fictional comic Alex, whose marriage to Tess (Laura Dern) is unravelling by the minute. After they separate, Alex seeks a purpose on the New York comedy scene, and discovers that he's actually pretty darn good at it. But, can he repair his broken marriage at the same time?

It's wholesome, touching, and makes you believe in the power of love all over again. And I'd like this stated on the record — Bradley Cooper is a brilliant director, no matter what you think of him. Regardless, it's out now on Disney+ internationally following its debut on Hulu stateside earlier this year. — JV

The Chi final season (Paramount+)

It's been eight years since The Chi first arrived on our screens via Paramount+, but now it's sadly time to say goodbye. This coming-of-age drama follows a diverse ensemble of characters who are trauma-bonded by the murder of a young boy in season 1.

Fast forward to season 8, and we can expect to face "their coldest winter ever, with life or death choices that must be made," according to Paramount. With season 7 ending with every storyline having some sort of dramatic fallout, we can expect the stakes to be raised even higher for its final outing. — JV

Arco (Hulu)

Neon's latest animated movie Arco follows a 10-year-old boy in the year 2932, an idyllic future where humans live in the clouds and travel through time using rainbow flight suits. Sounds pretty cool, not going to lie.

Sadly for Arco, he's too young to fly, so he does what any mischievous child would do: steals his sister's suit so he can go back in time and see dinosaurs. But, when he discovers a world in peril instead, he bands together with a young girl and her robot caretaker as he sets out on a quest to return home.

Widely praised for its lovable characters and themes, this adventure movie is a great choice for the whole family to watch on Hulu. — LB

Spoilers for Dutton Ranch episode 3 ahead.

Last week's explosive two-episode premiere of Dutton Ranch kicked off the new Yellowstone spinoff series with a bang.

After a devastating wildfire, Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) have no choice but to relocate to Texas, where an abandoned ranch lies in wait to be bought. But in the town of Rio Paloma, everyone knows everyone.

While local vet Everett (Ed Harris) and wrangler Azul (J.R. Villarreal) are among the friendlier faces, rival ranch 10 Petal and its owner Beulah (Annette Bening) look to be a thorn in Beth and Rip's side.

What's more, Beulah's frankly feral son Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) has killed one of their ranchers, and Rip has found the body. In short, we've only just opened that can of worms.

But in Dutton Ranch episode 3 (now on Paramount+), an entirely different problem has surfaced.

Cow foot and mouth disease breaks out on Dutton Ranch

Dutton Ranch episode 3 kicks off with some devastating ranch news as a stranded cow is found on death's door in one of the furthest fields.

Zachariah (Marc Menchaca) and Azul call Rip, and the three check it out together. With red, bleary eyes and a bile-ridden mouth, it's clear that something is up, which Everett confirms is cow foot and mouth disease.

The young cow has to be immediately killed, but there's a bigger problem. The disease has already likely spread among the rest of the cattle, meaning the three ranchers immediately need to implement a quarantine procedure to try to mitigate the worst.

The four camp out around the fire, having stayed overnight in the fields to avoid any kind of contamination. But how has this happened? Rip suspects that the new bull, bought at the cattle auction in episode 2, hadn't been vetted properly. "There's a lot of anti-vaxxers in this, though," Everett explains.

The episode ends with Beth returning home to find Rip in a field, standing over yet another diseased (and dead) cow. We've not seen the fallout properly yet, but this confirms that the worst has happened.

Beth heads to Dallas to poach customers

While Rip is dealing with the disease outbreak at home, Beth's taken it upon herself to head to Dallas and poach potential customers. Armed with a small cooler of their first sample of steak cuts, she arrives at a fancy hotel and puts her plan into action.

Crashing an employee meeting, Beth overhears that the kitchen staff are having their tips withheld, with the hotel owner seemingly unwilling to get things sorted out. She later finds the head cook and promises to double their tips if they serve one of her steak cuts to the owner himself.

The chef agrees, and Beth later finds the owner tucking his food. She pounces, bigging up her work before revealing that he's already eating it. The owner says there is a procedure to these things, with a number of ranchers already lining up to have their chance of being stocked across the entire hotel chain. But he's clearly impressed, and the pair swap details.

Later that night, while Beth is eating a complimentary dinner at the bar, Beulah's adopted son, Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba), sits down next to her. Beth asked if she's being tailed, with Joaquin responding that 10 Petal is just friendly competition. "Competition is never friendly," she responds, before walking out.

Zachariah's crimes are revealed during a ranch standoff

On top of the whole "the cows have foot and mouth disease" thing, another disaster has broken out this week at Dutton Ranch. Just as Azul and Zachariah are saddling up to complete another day's work, an unknown woman drives in a frenzy up to the house, gets out of the car, and points a gun at Zachariah.

The woman is screaming about him needing to pay for his crimes, and weirdly, Zachariah immediately gets to his knees and accepts his fate. "I always knew this day would come," we hear him say to himself.

It's up to Rip to diffuse the situation, carefully taking the gun away from the woman while simultaneously getting to the bottom of what's actually going on.

It turns out that Zachariah has been in prison for the death of the woman's daughter, though we piece together that this might have been an accident (manslaughter) rather than murder.

There's an uneasy understanding between Rip and Zachariah from this point on, who seems genuinely remorseful for what happened in his past. He's not being kicked off the ranch any time soon, put it that way.

Beulah and Everett reveal they have a romantic history — and might want to try again

Rio Paloma's former sheriff died before Beth and Rip arrived, but his funeral is taking place in episode 3. Beulah gives a eulogy, with Everett coming up to her after the service is over. It's implied that Beulah had a romantic history with said sheriff, but didn't really like him.

Neither did Everett, which immediately bonds the two together. So far, this is the only time we've seen Beulah at ease, with her defensive walls entirely down.

As the pair continue to talk, it's clear that they have had a romantic history in the past as well — and with the dead sheriff now out of the way, the looks on both of their faces suggest that they'll be meeting again sooner rather than later.

Carter takes Oreana home with him

Rather than going to school, Carter (Finn Little) is continuing to ditch class to meet up with Beulah's daughter, Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind). Once again, she tells Carter about her abusive on-off boyfriend, resulting in the two vandalizing his truck before driving off.

The new sheriff catches up with them, warning Carter that Oreana is no good and that he shouldn't be associated with her. He lets the pair off, but claims that if he ever sees them again, they'll be arrested on the spot.

Carter eventually takes Oreana home with him, where she makes herself comfortable by changing into his clothes. She encourages him to be his own man, and well... you can probably guess what happened after the cameras cut.

12 weeks later, and we've arrived at the season finale of Marshals: A Yellowstone Story. But it's not all bad news — the Yellowstone spinoff has already been renewed for a second season, and we've got Dutton Ranch to keep us ticking over in the meantime.

With one episode to go, it doesn't look like the drama at Broken Rock Reservation is going to stop any time soon. While the drug cartel finally infiltrated it in last week's episode, Kayce (Luke Grimes) was still contemplating whether to accept Weaver's plan to buy East Camp.

This week, it's chairman Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) who could most be at risk. But when does Marshals: A Yellowstone Story episode 13 arrive on CBS and Paramount+?

Even though Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) have had to relocate to Texas after a devasting wildfire, the Yellowstone spirit hasn't been completely forgotten in new spinoff series, Dutton Ranch.

In a nutshell, Beth and Rip are starting over in the small Texan town of Rio Paloma, even though they bought a brand-new Montana ranch at the end of Yellowstone season 5 part 2.

Unsurprisingly, it doesn't take too long for Dutton patriarch John (Kevin Costner), who was killed towards the end of the main series, to get a mention. As the Montana fire breaks out, Beth immediately packs a photo of them from their younger years, his hat and his knife.

Months later, when she's settled in Texas, Beth admits to Rip just how much she misses her dad. "We brought the best parts of him with us," Rip replies.

Even though we're only two episodes in to Dutton Ranch, I suspect this isn't going to be the last we hear about the Yellowstone ranch. In fact, the cast is convinced that John Dutton's legacy remains Beth's "reason to live."

'Beth carries her dad's legacy with pride and love'

"I think the legacy has been a lot for Beth, and for all of these years has been her reason to live," Reilly tells me. "It was how she moved, her only dream and her only reason to exist, protecting the land for her father. She was his strongest soldier.

"I think she carries it in her with pride and love, and I think there is something that she's wanting to protect around that. She doesn't want to blow it up to be something that she could use in a gratuitous way, but something in her heart that is hers and her family's.

Reilly continues, "But she saw the damage of what preserving a legacy does, the price of it. I don't think she has much interest in that. I think she's now moving into a place where people in her life are more important than land."

If Dutton Ranch episodes 1 and 2 are anything to go by, I'm not completely sure that Reilly's last sentence is true. But what she says does mean that we can guess how John Dutton and the Yellowstone ranch might be referenced moving forward.

In short, don't expect the spinoff to suddenly pivot to becoming Yellowstone 2.0. John Dutton will remain background context for Beth and Rip's new beginnings, and will possibly inform how others, such as ranch rival Beulah (Annette Bening) view them in kind.

As Hauser puts it, "The Dutton ranch obviously harks back to John Dutton, but other than that, the show is about us as a small unit, going to Texas and finding our own way."

The Yellowstone fandom has once again been resurrected — and as someone who loves nothing more than a Taylor Sheridan show internet conspiracy theory, I'm all here for it.

Last week saw the return of Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) in new spinoff series Dutton Ranch, which follows the pair's relocation to Texas and the inevitable drama that comes along with it.

If you've missed out, don't worry. Episodes 1 and 2 are now streaming on Paramount+, with the new show's remaining seven episodes airing on a weekly basis. But before we even get to what comes next, there could already be a plot hole that logically derails the entire Dutton Ranch set up.

Take a quick look on the Yellowstone subreddit and you'll see that fans aren't completely convinced by the reasons behind Beth and Rip's move, arguing that something has been overlooked that would mean the pair could have stayed in Montana instead.

Yellowstone fans think Beth would have had enough insurance to see through the ranch fire in Dutton Ranch episode 1

In a now-deleted Reddit post, one fan argues that Beth should have had insurance on the Montana ranch bought at the end of Yellowstone season 5 part 2 so be more than solvent enough to rebuild after the fire in Dutton Ranch episode 1.

In the spinoff, we see Beth and Rip lose everything as a wildfire tears through the town, only just sparing the couple, Carter (Finn Little) and their horses in the process. After calling around, the only ranch opportunity Rip can find is in Texas, with Beth claiming that staying and rebuilding in Montana wouldn't be possible financially — though buying again will take "every cent they have."

As another fan points out: "Eight days after the fire when they were at the motel, Rip made it sound like they were broke, which I don't get. As others have pointed out, Beth did extremely well for herself in the world of finance. Not to mention, she & Kayce got $30 million from all the ranch stuff, which I assumed they would've split evenly."

A third adds, "Not only should Beth be loaded financially, unless I missed something, she owns a load of land she wrangled in the Schwartz and Meyer take over. It was a lot of land circling the Yellowstone to ward of any commercialization butting up to the ranch. It was a helluva a lot of land that she could have built a new ranch or sold it for a ton of money.

"This is a plot hole but I can live with it. It' wouldn't be a Taylor Sheridan show without them."

However, there is a much more practical reason for the pair's move, even if the family finances don't add up. In order for Dutton Ranch to be viable as a spinoff, a physical relocation was needed. Think of it as a clean break from the past — Beth is literally out from under John Dutton's (Kevin Costner) shadow.

Sure, John's spirit has already been carried through to Texas, but it's not quiet the same thing. In Rio Paloma, Beth and Rip are their own two-person empire, no strings attached.

I couldn't be happier that the first two episodes of Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch has gone down well with critics and fans alike.

The pair have moved from their native Montana to a new ranch in Texas, immediately running into trouble with rival ranch 10 Petal. What's more, its no-nonsense owner Beulah (Annette Bening) is trying to cover up a huge secret thanks to her out-of-control son Rob-Will (Jai Courtney).

From here, the stakes are only likely to get higher. So when does Dutton Ranch episode 3 land on Paramount+?

It only took two weeks, before things are finally starting to look up for May 2026 on the world's best streaming services.

Indeed, after the recent dearth of new movies and TV shows, we've been treated to something of a deluge over the last few days. By my count, there have been 21 (!) new releases — and, while it would be fun to include them all in our latest streaming round-up, we've stuck to the usual format and compiled a list of the seven biggest ones of the week.

So, read on to find out what's made it into yet another TV series-heavy edition of our 'what to watch' list — Tom Power, senior entertainment reporter

The Punisher: One Last Kill (Disney+)

"One batch, two batch, penny and dime...". It's about time that The Punisher was the star of his own Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project — and that time is now.

The latest MCU character to get the Disney+ TV special treatment, The Punisher: One Last Kill reunites us with the titular anti-hero following his prison break in Daredevil: Born Again's season 1 finale. Judging by One Last Kill's trailer — and its subtitle — we'll see Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle embark on another personal crusade to deal with another individual who wants him dead, too.

Devil May Cry season 2 (Netflix)

Devil May Cry's animated adaptation was a huge hit for Netflix, and now it's back and bigger than ever with its sequel season.

Devil May Cry season 2 doesn't waste any time throwing us straight into the action. Here, we see Dante and Vergil’s anticipated reunion, with their conflict making up much of the story. Dante's already got his hands full trying to prevent Hell on Earth from literally occurring without all the family drama but, hey, it's exciting for us to watch.

Those hoping for more 2000s nostalgia will be pleased, too, as there's an all-new soundtrack featuring rock legends like Papa Roach and Amy Lee from Evanescence. It's undoubtedly one of the coolest shows streaming right now. — Lucy Buglass, senior entertainment writer

Off Campus (Prime Video)

The minute that critics said that Off Campus was less like Heated Rivalry and more like "frat bro Bridgerton," I was all in. Based on the hit books by Elle Kennedy, this Amazon TV Original follows an elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

It's the perfect balance of horny and wholesome that Prime Video keeps nailing in its young adult dramas, which means it's perfect for fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty and Maxton Hall.

What's more, Off Campus has already been renewed for season 2, so it's well worth your investment in this hot and heavy eight-episode binge. — Jasmine Valentine, entertainment reporter

Dutton Ranch (Paramount+)

Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are back, baby! Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch follows the pair's relocation to Texas, taking over a small ranch that directly competes with 10 Petal, aka the local town's cattle empire run by Beulah Jackson, who's a woman Beth aptly describes as a "grizzly in Gucci." Not only do the pair go head to head, but the more that Beth and Rip settle into Texan life, the more problems they unearth.

A cross between Landman and The Madison in tone, Dutton Ranch doesn't completely neglect its Yellowstone roots — watch out for some obvious John Dutton mentions in episode 1 onwards. Before you dive in, read my Dutton Ranch review, too. -— JV

The Testament of Ann Lee (Disney+)

Following its Hulu release earlier this year, this Amanda Seyfried-led historical musical drama is now available internationally on Disney+.

In it, Seyfried plays the titular character, who was the founding leader of the Shakers religious sect in the 18th century. Lee's religious movement focused on communal living, celibacy, gender equality, and functional, simple furniture. Song and dance were a huge part of their meetings, meaning this flick is the perfect way to depict Lee's life and the religious beliefs she shared with others.

Based on its 86% Rotten Tomatoes audience score, it seems viewers have been charmed by Ann Lee's story. Maybe you will be, too? — LB

On the Roam season 2 (HBO Max)

Ever wanted to go road tripping with Jason Momoa? Now you can. After a two year hiatus, the star is back traveling once again via his HBO Max docuseries On the Roam.

Like last time, Momoa is taking a break from making movies to meet a new line up of artists and creatives, where he gets an in-depth look at their process and asks plenty of questions.

This season, we'll see Momoa meeting with Julian Schnabel, director of Basquiat, punk rock band The Bobby Lees, and Metallica legend Kirk Hammett. Episodes are released every Thursday, making it something you can look forward to each week. — LB

Rivals season 2 (Hulu/Disney+)

You know what we're missing from this lineup? An old school bonkbuster. Luckily, Rivals season 2 is on hand to fill the gap. Picking up shortly after its predecessor, though, our Rutshire ensemble's collective horniness has turned somewhat sour.

Cameron is lying low after being convinced she's killed her boss Tony after she battered him with a TV award in self-defense. Meanwhile, Lizzie and Freddie are desperately trying to hide their feelings for one another, and Sarah is trying to climb the ranks at Tony's Corinium TV station.

It's all a bit less steamy, but the stakes continue to be raised. We've only got the first three episodes (read my Rivals season 2 review on them while you're here) to stream at this stage, so keep your eyes peeled for the rest later this year. — JV

The long-anticipated Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) spinoff, Dutton Ranch, is finally here.

With its first two episodes now available to stream on Paramount+, the fiery couple have left their native Montana — which is where we were convinced they were going to stay at the end of Yellowstone season 5 part 2 — for Texas, setting up a ranch from scratch there instead.

You've probably got a lot of questions about Beth and Rip's return to the small screen, with episodes 1 and 2 full of new information that we need to process.

From new rival ranch 10 Petal to exactly how John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is referenced, here's the full-blown Dutton Ranch premiere recap that you're in desperate need of.

Why have Beth and Rip left Montana for Texas?

At the end of Yellowstone season 5 part 2, we watched as Beth and Rip moved to a separate Montana ranch to start over. But at the beginning of Dutton Ranch, it burns down as a wildfire takes hold of the local area.

Between them, most of their horses and cattle are saved, with Beth managing to get Carter (Finn Little) to safety in plenty of time too. The family hits the local shelter area, beside themselves that everything they once had is now lost.

Rip phones around to try and get a new lead on ranch opportunities, and can only find one in the small town of Rio Paloma, Texas. Beth claims that buying a ranch with almost their entire bank account will still be cheaper than building their Montana ranch back up from the ashes, so off they go.

The pair buys an abandoned ranch, known as Edwards Ranch, from a widow who no longer has use of it. Beth and Rip promise to honor the quality and values of its old owner, as well as taking care of wrangler Azul (J.R. Villarreal) as their own.

So who else do we know so far in Rio Paloma?

Rio Paloma is an incredibly small town, and almost everybody knows each other. Beth and Rip's biggest problem is the local dominant ranch 10 Petal, run by no-nonsense Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening).

Beulah's adopted son Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) is the company's problem solver, which basically translates to hiding the family's dirty laundry. Son Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) is a misogynistic, racist and homophobic brute with a drug problem... but a little more on him later.

Then she's got troubled daughter Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind), who takes a shine to Carter after he defends her honor during his first visit to the local rodeo.

Everett McKinney (Ed Harris) is the local vet who helps Beth rehabilitate a horse on death's door, but also acts as a mediator between Rio Paloma and Beulah.

There's also Zachariah (Marc Menchaca), a cowboy in prison who Azul vouches for to work alongside Rip. He's clearly got a trouble past, but we currently don't know why he's been incarcerated.

What is 10 Petal ranch hiding?

In short, a body. At the beginning of Dutton Ranch episode 1, we see Rob-Will fly off the handle at a rancher that he's got out of bed in the early hours of the morning. With wrangler Chet (Hart Denton) watching on, Rob-Will berates our victim for allegedly accusing 10 Petal of fixing their books. In a fit of rage, Rob-Will kills him, burying the body in a field in the middle of nowhere.

Obviously, this poses a huge problem for Beulah, She tasks Joaquin with cleaning up Rob-Will's mess, who claims that the only fix is to pack Rob-Will off to a rehab far enough away that it won't raise eyebrows. We find out that this is the third time Rob-Will has been there, who remains convinced that he'll be out in "a couple of days."

Then there's Chet. Beulah blackmails him into taking on Rob-Will's role of ranch foreman, quickly sending another wrangler to hospital after beating him up to assert his authority.

In episode 2, we see Rip come across the dead rancher's body, digging him up and dumping him in a nearby abandoned well. Joaquin goes into meltdown afterwards, and rightly so.

What about Carter?

He's only been in Rio Paloma for a few minutes, but Carter is already teetering into trouble. Not making any friends at school, he's cajoled into going to the local rodeo by a girl who seems interested in him, but actually only invites him to buy alcohol for her friends because he looks old enough.

While there, he finds Oreana in a fight with her boyfriend in the parking lot, with Carter punching him when he starts to get physically violent with her. Carter winds up in jail until Oreana bails him out, with Carter skipping school to hang out with her the next day.

There's clearly romantic tension between the two, but Oreana's boyfriend is clearly not going anywhere without (another) fight.

Where is Beth in all of this?

Don't you worry about her! Beth is busy making her reputation known among the locals, including a particularly scathing first meeting with Beulah.

She's also instrumental in helping Rip pick out the first bull for their ranch from the cattle auction.

How is John Dutton referenced?

Unsurprisingly, it doesn't take too long for Beth's dad to get a mention. As the Montana fire breaks out, Beth immediately packs a photo of them from their younger years, his hat and his knife.

Months later, when she's settled in Texas, Beth admits to Rip just how much she misses her dad. "We brought the best parts of him with us," Rip replies.

Just as fellow Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch gets off the ground this week, we're entering the final leg of Marshals: A Yellowstone Story.

Last time, we watched as Kayce (Luke Grimes) and Cal (Logan Marshall-Green) tried to survive a night on the side of a freezing cold mountain, trying to chase down an escaped prisoner in the process.

Now, we're turning our attention back to the Broken Rock Reservation. But when does Marshals: A Yellowstone Story episode 12 arrive on CBS and Paramount+?

Let's start by making one thing clear: Dutton Ranch is not Yellowstone. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it's not really even a Yellowstone spinoff. Sure, we're following indestructible ranchers Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) a year after the events of Yellowstone season 5 part 2, but that's where the similarities end.

If anything, Dutton Ranch is fusing the soap opera stylings of The Madison with the brash, Texan tenacity of Landman into one incredibly bingeable product. If Taylor Sheridan had the TV equivalent of a greatest hits album, it would be this (and he's not even serving as the showrunner here). New beginnings run thick and fast through this series — and that's as much for us as it is for Beth and Rip.

After settling down on a new ranch in Montana at the end of Yellowstone, unavoidable circumstances mean that the pair has to move once again, relocating to Texas. Buying a small ranch in the town of Rio Paloma, they soon learn that they're not the only ranchers muscling in on the area's beef trade.

Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), aptly described by Beth as a "grizzly in Gucci," is in charge of the 10 Petal ranch, which is the area's most dominant source of cowboys, horses, and dangerous drama. The Jacksons (not those ones) are a disaster unto themselves, and anyone else in their orbit, and that soon includes new neighbors Beth and Rip.

I'm no stranger to stereotypical TV small-town drama, and Dutton Ranch is about as high-stakes as it gets. Not everybody is going to love what Beth and Rip's story has become, but the moment you let go of your Yellowstone pre-conceived ideas, the new series can settle in — and it's got strong enough legs to be one of the best TV shows of the year.

Moving away from Yellowstone is the healthiest approach that Dutton Ranch could have taken

If Dutton Ranch was going to happen, it needed a clean break in the form of a physical relocation. Despite consistently being faced with an exhausting level of trouble, Beth and Rip have taken to Texan life like ducks to water. They waste no time getting their ranch set up and their reputations established, which means juicy backstabbing is ripe from the off.

Beth particularly finds a good sparring partner in Beulah, with the two tearing lumps out of each other from the moment they meet. This is where Beth is in her element — arm her with a pair of stilettos and a killer one-line insult, and she can conquer just about anything.

For Rip, we're seeing his tender side. He's quick to take the ranch's former wranglers, Azul (J.R. Villarreal) and Zachariah (Marc Menchaca), under his wing, expecting a lot but asking no questions in return. He continues to put Beth's emotional needs before his own, but also isn't afraid to throw some spectacular punches when things get nasty with the locals.

Even in the first few episodes alone, the scope for character growth feels as endless as the Texan plains. John Dutton's (Kevin Costner) legacy hasn't been completely shaken off, but to leave home is to grow, as the old social mantra goes. If anything, Beth is able to miss her dad more now that there's a significant distance between her and her old life.

Beth and Rip's future could be even stronger if Sheridan got back in the showrunner saddle

If you've been following along with Dutton Ranch updates prior to its release, you'll know that it's run into a spot of showrunner trouble. Chad Feehan has already exited the show, leaving a spot wide open for a new showrunner to take charge. For me, this needs to be Sheridan.

The series is already in a strong place, but the way to cement its five-star status (and a TV legacy that could rival Yellowstone) is for Sheridan to be more hands-on than just executive producing. We know how incredibly well he writes a script and how succinctly effortless his handle on a storyline is. In essence, Sheridan is the missing ingredient in his own creation.

Truthfully, we don't really care about anyone other than Beth, Rip, and Carter (Finn Little). As incredible as Bening, Harris, and the like are, they will remain secondary in importance from now until the end of time. The more Yellowstone that can be subtly injected into Dutton Ranch, the more successful that it will be.

For now, at least, the two are separate beasts, and it works well. But when it comes to Yellowstone, Dutton Ranch is damned either way. It's too close to the source material not to acknowledge its own history properly, but it could come unstuck further down the line by its decision to frame itself as a standalone of sorts.

But Beth and Rip can never truly be losers, can they? I'd put good money on this not being the last we see of them, either.

Dutton Ranch premieres on Paramount+ with two episodes on May 15, with the remaining seven episodes airing weekly after.

This week is an exceptional time to be a Yellowstone or Taylor Sheridan fan, if I say so myself. Log onto Paramount+ this week, and you'll be greeted with the penultimate episode of Marshals: A Yellowstone Story (May 17) and the first two episodes of the new spinoff, Dutton Ranch (May 15).

While we've known that both shows would be debuting this year, this is the first time that we get to experience them simultaneously. In short, it almost feels as though Yellowstone itself never truly ended.

While Marshals has been following Kayce (Luke Grimes) after joining the US Marshals in Montana, Dutton Ranch sees Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) up sticks to Texas, taking over a brand-new ranch in the small town of Rio Paloma.

It's great to see the Dutton siblings back on our screens, but is there ever a chance that their paths will cross once more? They might now be in different states, but for Reilly, a reunion is something that she's actively hoping will happen.

'Anything is possible with Taylor Sheridan'

"Anything is possible with Taylor. Anything," Reilly tells me when I ask her about a potential Dutton crossover. "You would hope that there would be some crossover at some point between Beth and Kayce, that they would just be in each other's lives even though they've both moved on and are doing other things.

"We definitely needed a break from Yellowstone. But I think, at some point, seeing Kayce and Beth together would really be something."

She's not wrong. With Marshals opening to middling fan and critic reviews back in March, giving the people what they want — more Yellowstone — would be an easy win. However, this gets more complicated when you factor in that Sheridan now only serves as an executive producer for both spinoffs.

Dutton Ranch showrunner Chad Feehan has also reportedly left the series prior to its launch, meaning that there's even more pressure behind the scenes to find a replacement if the show gets picked up for a second season.

If a Beth-Kayce reunion is going to happen, we'll likely be waiting a while for it. But as far as Reilly is concerned, she wants to hold onto Beth for as long as possible.

"I think if we can take an audience who loved Yellowstone and bring them on this new journey, and they stay with us, I'll be proud of that. I hope we get to keep them," she adds.

Yellowstone fans, look lively: Dutton Ranch, the much-anticipated Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) spinoff, is nearly here.

With Taylor Sheridan now executive producing rather than acting as showrunner, the series is set to follow Beth and Rip's relocation to Texas.

When do new episodes of Dutton Ranch come out?

Dexter: Resurrection season two has officially begun filming, and this time around, there are even more of New York's murderers coming to face off against Dexter Morgan.

While it hasn't yet earned a place amongst the best Paramount+ shows, Dexter: Resurrection is the show that most fans didn't see coming (Dexter: New Blood IYKYK).

Fortunately, season one impressed enough to return for more, and with production underway, there's plenty to talk about. Navigating the Big Apple has never looked so grim, and with a complex relationship to build with his son, Harrison, and the Dark Passengers that 'guide' them, it's not looking like an easy one.

Here's everything we know so far about Dexter: Resurrection season two, from release date speculation, confirmed cast and new characters, plot synopsis, and more.

Dexter: Resurrection season 2: is there a release date?

No. Dexter: Resurrection season two is officially in production. The show's star, Michael C. Hall, took to Instagram in April to reveal that they're back filming: "It's happening. We have exciting returning and new guest stars. And another thrill ride is planned. We are excited about making it and look forward to sharing it with you."

The news comes after the show's October renewal announcement, which has garnered over 10 million views on Instagram. Really, it's no surprise that Dexter's on his way back for more.

In terms of a release date, season one took six months to film and came out a month afterwards. If we use that to predict when season two will arrive, I'd say we're looking at a potential release in late 2026.

Dexter: Resurrection season 2: has a trailer been released?

There's no Dexter: Resurrection season two trailer to share just yet. Considering the cast and crew only commenced filming in April, it's unlikely that we'll have a trailer until nearer to the (yet unconfirmed) release date.

Big news! Brian Cox is joining as a series regular, answering one of the big questions that hung over our heads from season 1 – who is the New York Ripper? Well, it's Cox, if you hadn't guessed yet. As per Deadline: "Cox will play Don Frampt, the New York Ripper, a serial killer who terrorized the City years ago.

"Though no longer active as a killer, he's found a new way to live into his infamy by continuing to taunt the survivors of his long-ago murder spree."

And there's not one, but two, big murderers coming in for season two, with Dan Stevens joining as the Five Borough Killer. Because if there's anything Dexter needs more of, it's serial killers, right?

Deadline explains: "He will play Owen Stark, a serial killer who, much like Zodiac, taunts the police with phone calls threatening the murder of innocent citizens. When he follows through with the awful deeds... the City and the Police are terrorized."

And in April, Variety exclusively revealed that both Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson had been cast in series regular roles. Johnson as Fiona Mixon, "a training officer in the Homicide unit and a nepo-baby in the police world and Harrison's new love interest." Woodbine will play Capt. Mixon, "a bulldog of a homicide captain and Fiona's father."

Dexter: Resurrection season 2: story synopsis and rumors

Full spoilers follow for Dexter: Resurrection season one. Potential spoilers for Dexter: Resurrection season two.

When it comes to the Dexter: Resurrection season two plot, we have some pretty exciting news to share. In a Paramount+ press release, there's now an official logline for season two: "Dexter: Resurrection finds Dexter Morgan (Hall) caught between two killers – one notorious and the other terrorizing New York in ways no one ever anticipated – all while battling his greatest enemy yet: a mid-life crisis. Harrison (Jack Alcott) continues his own pursuit of justice as father and son face their darkest chapter."

We saw Dexter returning in the suitably-named Dexter: Resurrection after a gunshot from his own son, Harrison. In learning that Harrison was now living in New York, Dexter went on the hunt. He then, in true Dexter style, got embroiled in a world of serial killers, a club of them, in fact, led by billionaire Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage).

While Dexter tried to solve the problem in the best way he knows how, killing the killers, he also struggles with the relationship with his son and their shared penchant for violence. And, despite Harrison's dark nature, it also looks like he'll have a love interest in season two, which seems like it would present all kinds of challenges.

With the police hot on his tail from the days of OG Dexter in season 1, Dexter has a lot on his plate. And with Prater offering Dexter a deal to team up, that's where we were left at the end of season 1. But, while Dinklage's role hasn't been confirmed yet, it'd be surprising not to see him return for season two, given how season 1 ended.

We do know, though, that Uma Thurman is returning as Charley. Considering we last saw her driving out of New York City with her mother in a bid to hide out, a reprisal of her role suggests that perhaps heading out of state wasn't the end after all.

We also know that there are two new killers with the New York Ripper (Brian Cox) and the Five Borough Killer (Dan Stevens) ready to cause a mess. And with season two being what Paramount+ is calling Dexter and Harrison's "darkest chapter", that's a big statement considering what they've already been through.

Will there be more seasons of Dexter: Resurrection?

Despite there only being an official renewal for season two right now, there's already talk around season 3. Why? Well, because it seems creators Scott Reynolds and Clyde Phillips have always planned for at least three.

Speaking with Collider way back in July 2025, Phillips said, "So, we're going to do this as long as Michael wants to. Then, when we know what the final year is, we'll know how to resolve it."

To which Reynolds added: "But we pitched him three seasons that tell a great story that can continue on."

And in late 2025, when executive producer Marcos Siega appeared on the Dark Passengers: A Dexter Podcast, he was asked about the plan for multiple seasons and whether there was anything beyond season two, to which Siega said: "In my mind, there's a lot beyond it. But that's just in my mind."

When asked if they knew what the arc looks like for the show's ending, Clyde Phillips jumped in: "It's not where we want it to end. It's just that we know what the overview is for season 3." To this, Siega added: "We even know who we're casting."

But, amongst all these great hints, it all comes down to whether there's an official renewal for Dexter: Resurrection season 3, which there hasn't been...yet. For now, we'll have to wait and see.

With 93% critical and 87% audiences ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, though, that's exactly what Send Help , which is out now on Hulu and Disney+, is.

Starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien, it follows a meek corporate strategist and her nepo-baby frat-boy boss who are stranded on a desert island after a plane crash. Cue a take not unlike The Lord of the Flies — coincidentally, its latest adaptation also features in this week's round up — that up-ends the balance of power between them in an incredibly remote part of the world.

One to seek out if you're a fan of two-handers, gore, and reams of dark humor and nail-biting suspense. — TP

Lord of the Flies (Netflix)

As Tom mentioned, a new Lord of the Flies remake landed on Netflix this week, marking the first time the iconic William Goldman story has been adapted for television.

The four-part miniseries has been written by Jack Thorne, the Emmy-winning mastermind behind Adolescence. It marks the on-screen debut for many of the young cast, too, who find themselves stranded on an uninhabited island after a plane crash. This time, Garrity family must leave the safety of their Greenland bunker to traverse a shattered world in search of a new home. Obviously, this is about as easy as homework in a foreign language. In the Amazon TV Original's latest outing, we find Mason, Nadia, and Bernard in hiding across Europe after last season's finale. But, when a terrifying new threat emerges, the three are pulled back into action once again. After all, it wouldn't be very interesting if we followed them on a sabbatical, would it? What do you get when you cross Hollywood legend Sally Field with a captive octopus, voiced by Alfred Molina? An incredibly faithful movie adaptation of Shelby Van Pelt's Remarkably Bright Creatures, that's what.

Tova (Field), an elderly widow, works night shifts as a cleaner at the local aquarium, but her life changes for good when stranger Callum (Lewis Pullman) arrives in town looking to solve an old family mystery.

Am I claiming that a marine mollusc is the new Hercule Poirot of Netflix? Possibly. But, where there are some serious questions to answer, streaming Remarkably Bright Creatures is far from hard work. — JV

Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spinoff launching on Paramount+ on May 15, following Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), has already hit a spell of trouble before even having its debut.

Last week, we reported that showrunner Chad Feehan was exiting the series weeks before launch due to alleged "behind-the-scenes friction with series stars Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly, as well as 'other key players.'"

Puck News went on to expand this further, adding, "Feehan finished the first season but has been told he won’t return for the second, per three sources. (I think the feeling was mutual and Feehan likely would have bailed anyway.)

"This was less of a pure creative issue, I’m told — the scripts were good, and after some work on the cut, Paramount is confident in the show — and more about how Feehan ran the production."

It continues, "He clashed on set with stars Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly and other key players, many of whom have been working on Yellowstone for nearly a decade. Sheridan, producer David Glasser, and the stars weren’t happy, so Feehan’s out, and Sheridan and Glasser will likely elevate another season 1 writer to the showrunner gig."

With a week to go until Dutton Ranch's launch, stars Reilly and Hauser have weighed in on the "ups and downs" of filming, promising that Yellowstone showrunner turned Dutton Ranch executive producer Taylor Sheridan still has his hands "all over" the new sequel series.

'These are Taylor's characters... he oversees everything'

"There were many, many conversations about what [Dutton Ranch] could be," Reilly tells me. "What iteration, who was going to write it, who wasn't. But these are Taylor's characters. He's a producer on it; he oversees everything.

"We had five seasons of this show in our bodies and brains. So we also really had an idea of what we wanted to tell, and it had to be something that was new. This isn't Yellowstone. In order to move us out of that world, we had to deliver them somewhere completely different. They had to land somewhere. As long as it felt like a new beginning and we weren't repeating anything, it kicked my imagination into gear."

As we've seen from the Dutton Ranch teasers and full trailer above, Beth and Rip have relocated to a small ranch in Texas, having lived in Montana for the duration of Yellowstone's run. Now, they face off against local rancher Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), whom Beth incredibly describes as a "grizzly in Gucci."

But relocation aside, what does this all mean for the alleged Sheridan-Feehan drama?

"Taylor's got his hands all over this show," Hauser adds. "That's the only way he knows how to do things. Look, you're gonna go through your ups and downs, through this business, and it's about adapting. That's what we did."

If Dutton Ranch is renewed for a second season (which is currently unconfirmed), Feehan won't be returning. A replacement showrunner has yet to be announced.

We've just had our first substantial update on Landman season 3 after the release of season 2 in late 2025, and it's a helpful one.

During The Hollywood Reporter's Directors in Focus event, returning series director Stephen Kay confirmed, "We're cutting while we're shooting and so it'll hopefully be out soon."

This means that new episodes are being edited while the production team is simultaneously filming them, which would explain why Taylor Sheridan shows, including Landman, The Madison, and Lioness, have such a speedy turnaround time.

Annoyingly, we've got no further details on season 3 yet, such as returning cast, plot, or any significant changes.

But thanks to Kay's comments, we can confidently make a prediction for when Landman season 3 is set to return... and it's likely to be much sooner than you think.

Landman season 3 is on track to fill its November release date window in 2026

Let's assess what we know. If we go by how the first two seasons were released on Paramount+, we know that Landman is able to release one season every year, which puts season 3 on track for 2026.

Then add on the fact that both season 1 and season 2 had release dates in November 2024 and 2025, respectively, and it's clear that creators have got a formula that they'd like to stick to.

Even if season 3 is still shooting, the fact that the editing process is happening at the same time means that there will be a smaller wait time between the end of production and the season's release.

It could even be a case of completed episodes (say, the first half of the season) being released while the second half is still in development.

This much we know for certain: Taylor Sheridan is an absolute machine when it comes to churning out content. Anything is possible on his watch, and I've got a very good feeling that Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) will be stressed out all over again come November.

Following loyal but troubled Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and husband Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) after trying to get a fresh start in Yellowstone season 5 part 2, the pair must restart their lives once again after moving to Texas from their native Montana.

Now closer to Landman than Yellowstone in the Taylor Sheridan universe (which is also set in Texas), Dutton Ranch is clearly trying to get a clean break from Yellowstone's complicated past. But as we can see in the new clips, the spirit of John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is haunting his daughter.

In our first look at heartbreaking Dutton Ranch scenes, Beth admits that she misses her father, with Rip replying that they've "taken the best parts of him with us."

There's no doubt that this is setting the nine-episode series for an ongoing John Dutton subplot... but are we already overlooking the most intriguing part of what's to come?

As the official Paramount character synopsis explains, "Seen squaring off with Beth Dutton character in the Dutton Ranch teaser trailer, Beulah is the powerful, charming, and cunning head of a major ranch who believes in the power of family legacy."

Now let's add this to the show's overall synopsis. "Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton gamble everything on a new life in South Texas, but the promise of building a future far from the ghosts of Yellowstone quickly collides with new realities and a rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire."

Put two and two together, and we're left with the assumption that Beulah heads the rival ranch in question... and judging from the above, playing nice isn't in her vocabulary.

Not only is Annette Bening an incredible actress, but I can't remember the last time that I saw her play an out-and-out villain. If I had to square up to her over a farm dispute, I'd be more chicken than cow, that's for sure.

Obviously, it's fantastic news for Yellowstone fans that John Dutton's legacy is being carried over into Dutton Ranch. But if we want to explore Beth and Rip's new story in full, it needs to be out with the old and in with the new.

Is there anything Taylor Sheridan can't do? Probably not, but sadly, Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount+ is due to come to an end after season 5.

The show follows Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky, an ex-con navigating the dangerous line between law enforcement and the city's criminal underworld. The crime thriller "plunges viewers into the ruthless power struggles and violence that defines Kingstown, Michigan," as Paramount puts it.

Season 4 only ended in December 2025, but with news of a final renewal breaking in January 2026, all eyes are on how the hit series wraps up its drama once and for all.

While details are still in the early stages, we do know some things for certain when it comes to Mayor of Kingstown season 5... so let's break them down.

Sadly yet unsurprisingly, Mayor of Kingstown season 5 doesn't have a confirmed release date as of yet.

However, we can try to work out when the eight episodes will drop based on when previous seasons have been released:

• Season 2: January 15, 2023
• Season 3: June 2, 2024
• Season 4: June 2, 2025

If I were to put money on it, I'd guess that season 5 will have a June 2027 release date slot, but Paramount could easily surprise us.

Mayor of Kingstown season 5 potential plot

According to Paramount, here's a brief synopsis on the season 5 plot: "In Mayor of Kingstown Season 5, FBI agent Russell Hardy (new series regular David Morse) arrives in Kingstown following the murder of Mike’s sister-in-law, Tracy McLusky (Nishi Munshi).

"A dedicated lawman, Agent Hardy threatens to disrupt the tenuous balance of power in Kingstown."

Previously, co-creators Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon hinted that the show could run as long as seven seasons, suggesting narrative plans were already in the works.

"Whether it goes that far or that's where we get [who knows], but he has an ending, and everyone knows about it," Dillon told Screen Rant. "And when you talk to him, he will tell you in detail. So, our goal is to get to that season 7, because that's as far as we can get, because that's where he's always had it. 15 years ago, he had it. 15 years ago, 'So, here's how it's starting, Mitch is going to get killed off in the first 10 pages, and season 7, episode 10, this is where Mike's going to be.' I'm like, 'Holy f---, I'm in. Okay.'"

May 2026 has arrived, but the fifth month of the year hasn't exploded out of the gate when it comes to new streaming releases.

Indeed, new movies and shows are at a real premium on the world's best streaming services this weekend. In fact, we're scraping the barrel so much, we've had to include an MGM+ TV series that originally debuted on a lesser known streamer called Network. You would think they'd space out their latest film and TV offerings to give us more to choose from...

Wuthering Heights (HBO Max)

Widow's Bay (Apple TV)

Apple TV sure loves its genre mash-up projects, and this new dark comedy horror show is no exception.

Widow's Bay follows Tom Loftis (Matthew Rhys), the recently elected mayor of the titular island town who has big ambitions on turning Widow's Bay into the next big US tourist attraction. The only things standing in his way are its eccentric locals, outdated infrastructure... oh, and myriad supernatural entities that inhabit this supposedly cursed settlement.

Man on Fire (Netflix)

Wonder Man's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars in this new Netflix action show, which is based on its book namesake. In it, he plays John Creasy, a former a Special Forces mercenary with PTSD now trying to live a simpler life.

It's not quite that simple, though, as his attempts at a fresh start are rudely interrupted by a need for revenge. You know how it goes with shows like this! If you want to root for this lone wolf while he takes on some bad guys, Man on Fire might be the perfect watch for you this weekend. — Lucy Buglass, senior entertainment writer

The House of the Spirits (Prime Video)

Prime Video is priding itself of Spanish language drama The House of the Spirits, which is based on Isabel Allende’s International best-selling novel.

The eight-episode family saga spans half a century, centring on three generations of women — Clara (Dolores Fonzi), Blanca (Fernanda Urrejola), and Alba (Rochi Hernández) — in a conservative South American country shaped by class struggle, political upheaval, and magic.

For Desperate Housewives fans, Eva Longoria serves as an executive producer, quietly reminding us just how much of a creative force she is behind the scenes. — JV

Swapped (Netflix)

Netflix tends to play down its animation releases, but when they appear, they're almost always an underrated banger.

Swapped is no exception, following a small woodland creature and a majestic bird who magically trade places and set off on an adventure of a lifetime. Think Freaky Friday, but for two natural sworn enemies of their wildlife Valley.

There's no human or tech element here, so don't worry about it being a direct Hoppers rip off.

My Killer Father: The Green Hollow Murders (Paramount+)

This hard-hitting Paramount+ docuseries follows Lucy Studey McKiddy as she opens up about her father Donald Studey, known as 'the Monster of Green Hollow'. Horrifyingly, she claims she knows where dozens of bodies are buried from decades of his alleged murders.

Across the three episodes, she claims her father killed dozens of women, including three of his wives, and forced her and her siblings to help dispose of the bodies in an old well on their remote property. Expect it to send shivers down your spine this weekend. — LB

The Artist (MGM+)

I love a murder mystery, don't you? They're even better when there's a stacked cast and you'll certainly find that with The Artist.

Indeed, Patti LuPone, Hank Azaria, Mandy Patinkin, Danny Huston, Chris Jehnert, Zachary Quinto, Anni Krueger, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, Regina Ohashi, Katherine O’Sullivan, and Gemma Mcllhenny all star in this intriguing new series as suspects.

Here, an eccentric tycoon and his wife host a gathering of the era’s biggest celebrities including Thomas Edison, Edgar Degas, and Evelyn Nesbit. Naturally, said gathering soon turns deadly. Get your detective hats ready for this one. — LB
