E3 rumors: we separate the facts from the fiction

Forza Horizon 2 will be announced for release in October 2014.
Again, the Xbox One launched with a Forza game, so releasing another one less than a year later seems hard to believe. Then again, it has been more than two years since the first Forza Horizon, so it's not the most unlikely claim on the list.

Fallout 4 will be revealed.
This definitely feels like the year for Fallout 4 to break cover. If rumours are to be believed, Bethesda actually showed off some footage from the game behind closed doors at last year's show.

Rare to reboot Battletoads and Perfect Dark, the latter as a third-person action game.
This is where things start to smell real fishy. For those of you who don't know, Battletoads has made a name for itself in recent years - for all the wrong reasons.

Back in 2007, 4chan went on a mass trolling campaign by ringing a number of game retailers and requesting to pre-order a non-existent sequel to the old NES title.

They even went so far as to make a fake trailer...

Seeing Battletoads on this list immediately set alarm bells ringing at TechRadar HQ. And as for a third-person Perfect Dark, well, we don't need to tell you why that one seems strange.

Halo 5 to get a release date, Halo 2: Anniversary to be announced.
Very, very likely. But anyone could have called these two.

It's morphin' time

TechRadar took Project Morpheus for another spin this week, and updated our hands on review with some more thoughts on Sony's virtual reality endeavour.

We also learned that Sony's headset will probably change quite a bit before it becomes available to buy. Oh, and the light bar on the PS4 DualShock 4? Project Morpheus was one of the main reasons it was put on there - Sony just had to keep quiet about it for the months between the PS4 launch and the Morpheus reveal.

And if your thirst for VR isn't satisfied by all that, you can see the Tron-tastic headset of the future in action below.
