Fujitsu offer a speedy but expensive solution for loose-sheet document scanning

Roccat's gaming mouse is an all-terrain vehicle

If there's an area where the BlueTrack technology, which Microsoft is rolling out across it full range of mice, is really going to see a firm benefit it's in the mobile sector.

You might recognise this five-button, wireless wonder from Microsoft's latest wireless desktop kit where it's bundled alongside the 2.0 version of its Wireless Keyboard 3000.

Bluetrack keyboard and mouse set for the price conscious

If the iPhone has an Achilles' heel when it comes to music and movie playback, it's that the stock earbuds don't really do either justice. They're too reedy and harsh for that. It makes sense then to upgrade the standard cans as quickly as possible, which is where the Apple in-ear earphone with remotes and mic come in.

An easy way to move from PC to Mac? In theory, yes…

A speedy and great value printer for work or home

Add a webcam to your Mac mini, Mac Pro, or older Mac

Logitech has unveiled the first peripheral of its latest gaming range – with the N13 game pad aiming to put a brand new spin on an old concept and lure gamers away from their keyboards.

The Canon Pixma iP100 is a portable photo printer that can also print text documents. It will print on paper from business card size to A4, and comes with a large battery for travelling. It's not cheap, but we think it offers excellent quality, and is a rare find in a market churning out photo printers that just print 10 x 5 inch photos.

Designed with VoIP and Skype conversations in mind, these small and compact headphones manage to offer stereo in-ear headphones, as well as a small but highly usable microphone.

You may well have thought that the days of the flatbed scanner are behind us, thanks to multifunction print/fax/scan/copy machines and digital photography. But no. They continue to sell well to people with old photos, negatives and slides that need scanning. This is because the flatbed offers a better scanning quality and accessories than all-in-ones.

The IRISCard Pro 4 is the latest update by IRIS for its portable card scanner and software bundle. It scans business cards and saves them to the included software, from where you can export contacts to other apps including Apple’s own Address Book.

Dear oh dear, the Epson looks more like a mop bucket than a printer! Its slab-sided design, muted grey finish and crude-looking buttons are worrying, given that it’s the most expensive printer on test.

The Selphy ES2 uses a completely different upright design compared with the CP750.

The Lexmark X4650 is a multifunction device with scanning, printing and copying that lets you send files to and from the machine wirelessly or over USB. You will need a wireless router compatible with IEEE 802.11g to exploit these features.

T he simple pleasure of a good old-fashioned mouse is easy to forget, but the Macally Turtle is a great example of how it doesn’t need to be fancy to be functional.

At first glance, the IRIScan Express looked like it could be great. It’s powered by the USB cable and the driver installed without a hitch. But when entering the serial number supplied to unlock our ReadIris 11 software, we were told it was ‘invalid’.

The AgfaPhoto AP2300 is sold in Argos stores and it’s the cheapest of the dye-sub printers on test. It’s well specified, supporting all four of the main memory card formats currently in use, together with PictBridge printing.

We have a shining vision of the gaming future. It involves genuinely 3D graphics that are indiscernible from real life, tactile force feedback suits that simulate pressure and temperature and, very importantly, the removal of clunky manual control in favour of the power of thought alone.

The Sony DPP-FP95 is the most expensive of Sony's dye-sub photo printers. Small, neat and well made, the FP95 has slots for all the major card formats, and not just Sony's proprietary Memory Sticks.

The Panasonic PX30 is still very new and it could be a while before prices settle down properly. As it is, though, it does look expensive for what is a fairly ordinary dye-sub printer.

The HP A826 is surely as much a style statement as a printer. It looks like a prop from a 1950s sci-fi B-movie, and will certainly provide a talking point.

To invest in a 5.1 speaker system you’ve got to be a keen gamer or someone who loves to hear music while sat at their PC. So, assuming that you fall into one of these categories, you’re going to be more than a little interested in Logitech’s satellite-ample G51 system.
