This PC/Mac tuner's ability to stream HD satellite TV across a home network is useful, but marred by its erratic Wi-Fi features

This graphics card offers decent performance at a reasonable price

Can this aging CPU hold its own against the newer Intel offerings?

Huge capacity combined with a fast spin speed and backed by a super fast interface and cache makes this a very impressive single drive, not only that but its impressively quiet while it does it.

The most likeable features here are the USB interface and DTV 4 software. USB tuners have been available for a couple of years now but have yet to render the PCI-E cards obsolete, which is where they deserve to be; USB is the best option for systems of all sizes. The DTV software is bundled with every tuner in the Videomate range, and its ease of use is still unsurpassed.

A 2TB hard drive running at 7,200 RPM. What's the catch?

An enterprise class drive in beefy 2TB trim

We had high expectations of this Fusion processor, especially when AMD changed its initial sales pitch and suggested Fusion APUs would take aim at lower end Intel netbooks based on the Core i3 processor. However, despite out-of-order instruction execution, the AMD E-350 is not dramatically more powerful than Atom.

In its attempt to bolt as much on as possible, we think Cooler Master has lost sight of simple efficient cooling. Installation is tricky and causes issues with memory. It's also overly noisy for the level of cooling it provides.

The performance is the one thing to take away from this, it's simply excellent. Couple that with a reasonable price tag and if you're after a high-performance cooler, and don't mind supplying your own fan, then you're onto a winning combination.

So you could get a wonder chip with crazy performance, or you could just get a little bit more for your money. It's a decent card, but the vagaries of GPU headroom could be a worry.

A 2TB hard drive for the eco-warrior

So really there's no compelling reason to pick this card up over a standard HD 6950. It's around £50 more expensive, and you'll still be able to hit the same overclock, admittedly with a little more heat, as this Twin FrozR II version.

The nanoStick is the first PC tuner to support DVB-T2 – and thus Freeview HD. Was it worth waiting for?

Affordable and factory overclocked, Palit's GeForce GTX 560 Ti Sonic could be the ideal iteration of Nvidia's latest mid-range Fermi.

A capable low-end card, but struggles at higher resolutions and with DX11

The GTS 450 offers mainstream gaming at an affordable price-point. This tiny powerhouse (well, it's still dual-width, but pleasingly short) is capable of feats beyond its £100 price tag. What's more, in SLI, you'll see massive performance gains of 80 to 90 per cent, making the dual-card upgrade path a realistic and rewarding option for budget systems

A pokey mid-range card, with good CrossFire performance

The HD 6850 is a very capable mid-range card

As with every generation of cards, the flagship sets sail before the hanky-waving crowds, and the slimmed down versions with slightly less capable GPUs follow in their wake. The GTX 470 came hot on the heels of the GTX 480, and with only marginally reduced architecture.

Great DX10 and competent DX11 performance make this an attractive card whichever way you slice it

This receiver lets you watch TV on your iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Is it worth tuning in?

Crazy naming aside, you get the feeling the Prolimatech Armageddon means business, it's a hefty 750g of heatsink cooling with six heatpipes and a 160mm high rack of cooling fins, which measure 140mm across.

There's little we have to criticise on the Xigmatek Gaia SD1283, it is out performed a little by more expensive units but that's why you pay your money. We're not massive fans of the mounting system but it is highly flexible.

The Xigmatek Pantheon offers plenty of room for system builders to play with, without compromising on weight, space or features. We love the host of options, the tool free set up, room for SSD drives and cavernous space. What's more, the price is fantastic.
