Colours are generally realistic when the Natural Custom Image mode is used, the automatic white balance setting also copes well with a wide range of lighting conditions.
The Pentax K-30's AF system struggled to focus on this close, low contrast subject when the 18-55mm kit lens was mounted, but it got there in the end.
Leaving the 77-segment metering system to its own devices produced an accurate image here.

Employing the Vibrant Custom Image mode has given the red of the petals a boost.
The digital filter effects can be combined with the Custom Image modes for a wider range of effects. Here, we used the Monochrome Custom Image mode with the High Contrast filter.
