Hello, phones on sale

Moto G

Let's face it: some people just aren't tech-centric and would prefer a budget phone over the latest iPhone 5S. Thank goodness for the Motorola Moto G then! It's essentially the entry-level phone you can get that won't make you stick out like a sore thumb (i.e. it's not an old school flip phone) - but you can still have decently powerful yet simple device.

It's not exactly a Black Friday deal but it's still a deal nonetheless. It's now unlocked and super cheap from Motorola: an 8GB Moto G is $179 while the 16GB will only cost you $199.

Amazon is selling the Samsung Galaxy SIII for an even $259.99 - which is 35% off its original price - as a bonus deal of the day! This offer is only for November 25.

Get the most popular handset (possibly ever?) that's not an Apple device, the HTC One, for only $29.99 on contract from Best Buy. You can also pick up the One from Amazon for only $0.01 on contract with Sprint, Verizon or AT&T.

The ever popular tablets

Nexus 7

The newest Nexus 7 is already inexpensive but thanks to Black Friday, these stores went further and made it even cheaper.

$199 will get you 16GB and $239 for the 32GB - both of which are $30 less than usual retail prices from Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy.

For a limited time, you can get an addition $25 credit for the Google Play Store if you get a Nexus 7 from Google.

iPad Air

The iPad Air is just as hot as that Nexus (probably even more) but watch out for that steep price tag.

However, it looks like you can pick up a 16GB Wi-Fi only Air from Best Buy for $499, and from both Walmart and Target for $479.

Surface Pro

Microsoft is doing a 'lil preview of its Black Friday deals where you can save $100 on the near-perfect Surface Pro. Our list below has a few more goodies on sale, and if you scroll further you'll find laptop and gaming steals from the Microsoft Store too.

Note 10 1

Various Samsung tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 are now listed for Black Friday from Adorama! You can pick up a 16GB Note 10.1 for only $399 while a 32GB Note will run you up a hundred bucks more.

Like laptops being shown up by tablets, PCs have competition from the aforementioned next-gen consoles. But to a PC, "next-gen" was five plus years ago and current gen components will be console fodder in ten years.
