This budget 22" LCD TV offers up average pictures with a dated design
Grundig is still producing a very nice line in Freeview receivers. The GUDSTB2000 is a digital set-top box that really looks the part with a sleek, somewhat esoteric design, dressed in a fetching black ﬁnish with a beautifully curved fascia and no clutter, aside from a DVB logo.
The amusingly titled GUFSAT01HD from Grundig is one of three near- identical Freesat HD receivers made by Alba Group PLC. Its siblings, the Bush BFSAT01HD and Goodmans GFSAT200HD, offer only marginal cosmetic differences. Beneath the hood they're identical.
Like their SD cousins, the Grundig GUFSAT01HD and Bush BFSAT01HD are extremely similar in all ways. They perform the same functions, to the same standards, in the same ways.
The Grundig GUFSAT01SD Freesat box is as close to identical to the Bush model as it's possible to be without being the same receiver. It has a slightly differently shaped case but internally it's like the Bush. The front panel is curved and the chromed plastic strip across the middle is thinner and a whole lot classier.
New set-top boxes with HD capability have been released as part of the Freesat launch, designed to help the UK deal with the digital switchover, as well as promoting the benefits of HDTV
