Sneaking out at WWDC, the junior member of Apple's AirPort range saw some significant and much-needed improvements.

With very little fanfare, Apple finally upgraded the last of its WiFi products still to be using 802.11g to the faster and wider-coverage standard, 802.11n.

It won't come as a shock to learn that Apple takes an individual approach with its AirPort Extreme Base Station. The least surprising aspect is the shiny white styling that looks very similar to the Apple TV unit

This gorgeous little box is Apple's newly updated AirPort Extreme Base Station. The Extreme now comes with support for the 802.11n wireless standard, which exploits meatier wireless frequencies than before
