    Asus Eee PC T91 review

It's nigh impossible to talk about netbooks without giving at least a passing nod to the original Eee PC 701. Asus started the netbook ball rolling with that machine, and from our experiences with the T91; it's set to achieve a similar feat with affordable touch screens.

Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell review

Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell review

    7

Although it's more expensive than the majority of the Eee line, it's worth bearing in mind that the Seashell does away with many of the 'innovations' that turned the original few into -- and bear in mind we're saying this with a fair bit of hindsight -- unmanageable plastic lumps of useless.

    Asus Eee PC 1000HE review

    Asus Eee PC 1000HE review

    8

Asus is itself diluting the market with more and more iterations of its Eee brand, this latest though supplants rather than builds on what was there before. At its heart there's little difference between the 1000HE and the £70-80 cheaper 1000H, where it does shout about its edge though is in the battery department.

Our love of the original Eee PC is no secret. Coming back from last year's Computex in Taipei we were all awash with geeky excitement over the ultra-portable laptop we'd been looking for all our lives. So what of this new model?
