It may have a plastic mount but the 14-42mm kit lens is a star performer. It's sharp, contrasty and commendably low on chromatic aberration
There's nothing special about the 2.5-inch LCD screen. Its 230,000 pixels are sharp enough but the colour veers towards yellow and is a little too bright
The choice of lenses is limited to those produced by Olympus and a few offerings from Sigma

Subtle reproduction of indoor lighting shows the E-510 to be a capable performer. The image stabilisation works really well on low-light shots like this
