The S02's High Contrast Monochrome option in the Special Effects menu does what it says on the tin; however, we wish it - as well as some of the other Effects - were a little stronger.

The Coolpix S02's Low Key option in the Special Effects menu is great for shooting subtle scenes. We found it particularly useful for portraiture in toning down the background yet emphasising the subject just enough.
