  1. Akai PD-P42VIT review

    6

Akai is a brand that has been out of the limelight for a while, but it's back - with the clear aim of making an impression on the budget market. Alongside a small range of other affordable home cinema kit (LCD TV, DVD recorder and home cinema package)

    Akai PD-P42VIT review

    6

Akai has been out of the limelight for a while, but in the past it impressed us with a 30in LCD that cost round just £800. The brand is clearly trying to repeat its budget success with the 42in PD-P42VIT which looks a snip at just over £1,000.

    Akai LM-H30CJSA review

    8

With Viewsonic having wowed us recently with its über-cheap 27in LCD, it's with interest that we unwrap this 30in LCD from Akai, a Japanese company that is making a comeback in the UK AV world

    Akai LM-H30CJSA review

    10

Poor old CRT.Time was when all it had to worry about was being a bit chubby compared to the new upstart LCD and plasma models. Now Akai's LM-H30CJSA is really going to have CRT TVs quaking in their boots
