With cables that fit behind and over the ear, the SoundMAGIC's PL30s are pretty comfy, though their sound isolation isn't so complete.
Accessories include different sized tips, a case, a cable tidy and a clothes clip. Overall, the sound quality is fine, with clear detail.
There's a knob on each earbud to switch from 'clear bass' to 'deep bass', but the effect is negligible.
Bass isn't a strong point, so we wouldn't recommend it for rock, but its midrange is ideal for pop.

2. I find the PL30's have plenty of bass. As with all In Ear Monitors (IEMs) you need to get a good seal in the ear or they won't sound any good.
The comment in the first sentence of the Techradar review about sound isolation explains the later comments about lack of bass - without a proper seal in the ear bass response will be lacking.
I give the SoundMAGIC PL30 a full five stars. They are amazing value for money.

1. I bought some PL30's based on reviews on Head-fi forum and feel they are amazing value for money.
I actually find the bass response quite powerful, so I'm wondering how well they were sealing in the ear for this review. I've found that Comply Foam ear tips (T-400 model) help create a perfect seal.
I own a number of higher end IEMs and in my opinion the PL30 competes with earphones costing four times the price.
