The Dell Streak Android tablet has been announced for the UK, and O2 will be the first network provider to stock it.
The Streak is an Android-based tablet with a 5-inch capacitive screen, and packs 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as well as GPS, much like most other Android devices.
The now-familiar 1GHz Snapdragon processor will be pushing things along underneath the hood, and will offer memory expansion through a microSD slot with 2GB internal memory as well.
Best of Android
A 5MP camera is bolted on the back with dual LED flash, with a VGA version on the front too for video calling, so essentially this is just a really big phone to put to the side of your face.
But given that it will be landing with Android 2.1 (with a Froyo 2.2 update scheduled later this year) it will easily be able to play Flash video and GPS turn-by-turn routing thanks to Google Maps Navigation.
We're still waiting for an exact UK release date beyond early June, and tariffs too, with the US later in the year. Both O2 and The Carphone Warehouse will be selling it from this point, with Dell a month later via its website.
