Our reviewers
Our reviewers are specialists, each with expertise in a particular technology. We combine expertise from our network of specialist websites and magazines, and our own TechRadar reviews team, led by our Reviews Editor, James Rivington.
Specialist expertise
Because our writers are specialists, they are constantly in touch with the communities their websites report on. That means our experts are able to rate products against others of the same type. TechRadar commissions our reviews directly from these experts, from our own team of writers, as well as other experts when needed.
What this means is if you see a review of a home cinema system from, say, Home Cinema Choice, you know it's been reviewed by an expert in home cinema, not mobile phones.
Reevoo user reviews
However, we're certainly not infallible. We realise different people can experience products in different ways, which is why we also offer Reevoo user reviews. These are reviews from everyday people who have brought the product and have got to learn what it's really like in everyday use.
Real world testing
We emphasise real world testing over labs, because that's where products get used. However, we benchmark every product that sells on the basis of specific performance indicators – predominantly PCs, laptops, processors and graphics cards.

How our price comparison works
In order to help our readers find good deals, we use a number of third party price comparison providers.
These compare various deals on offer and list them against each product. If you buy from one of those retailers as a result of clicking through from one of TechRadar's pages, TechRadar can earn a small commission. However, we do not influence the deals on offer, which are generated automatically.
Omio
Our phone deal comparison service is powered by Omio. Omio compares nearly every phone deal on the market and lists them all at its site. TechRadar lists a selection of the best value offers, updated within the last two hours, but you can click through to Omio's site, which provides all sorts of ways to drill down into the best deals for you.
Pricegrabber
Most of our other product reviews have prices powered by Pricegrabber. These are also updated several times each day, for the latest possible prices.
Again, if you think we're not living up to our promise, please email the editor in chief and we'll endeavour to put it right.
