Fans of small form factor notebooks will be glad to hear that the original Asus Eee PC 701 is soon set to get a bit of a makeover, according to latest reports.
The new Eee PC 701SD, as pictured here, will feature slightly sharper edges, an improved trackpad and a few other cool little design tweaks.
It seems Asus' designers just love fiddling with their Eees.
Atom replaces Celeron
Additionally, as well as the 4GB SSD flash memory version, Asus is rumoured to be readying a 30GB HDD version.
The same rumours also suggest that the Celeron chip is to be replaced by the Atom as seen in the Eee 901 and 1000 series.
As ever, TechRadar has contacted Asus for confirmation and further info pertaining to these rumours. Stay tuned for more updates on this and also on Asus' new "ultimate" and "pro fashion" Eee PCs which look likely to be releasing this coming September.

1. We have to wait a long time but now the new ASSUS notebook is in the market and definitely is the gadget that everybody wants to have.
The new ASSUS is thin enough and practical so you can take with you in your bag. This notebook is ideal for students or business man, because is simple, thin and with the necessary technology to make your work more simple. Also it's design is modern and cool and regarding technology it's features include:
Storage: 640GB (5400rpm)
Memory: 4096MB (2048x2) DDRII 1066 RAM
OS: 64bit Windows 7 Home Premium
Maybe the only bad thing about this notebook is the duration of the battery which is 4 hours. If you compare with others notebooks in the market is a very short time. The keypad is small, but as I said it before this is not a laptop with that kind of use...
Technology is about progress and is constantly moving, but the ASSUS is the must have of the season...but in a couple of months we will found another gadget to buy, I'm sure about that
