11. To the poster below about Flash....
None ... and I mean absolutely none of the websites I need to visit rely on Flash.
So an iPad is just great for me... plus it means I also miss out on all those crappy flash ad's too :-)

10. I don't know how yet again another blog post got off track onto the same old "it's not got flash" tantrums, but all I can say (from truthful experience too), I have been using the iPad for a month now and I have not come across a single website where-by I felt I was missing out from some flash only based content!
In fact truthfully, I can't remember the last time I saw a obvious sign that there was a flash module obviously missing and I have done a significant amount of surfing on this device. That's not to say another persons habits would be completely different.
However since Steve Jobs brought this whole flash argument to the forefront, all the big names have made statements about html5's future and it's looking rosy, so if any website like the watch example below wants to stubbornly ignore the future, then more fool them!
I certainly wont be losing any sleep over not being able to access that or any other website that is prepared to alienate it's potential customer base by not supporting all new web technologies.

9. @ratty98 I didn't forget, I know the US price doesn't have tax applied due to local variations. I was converting directly and showing where it was from, not agreeing it was the right price ;)

I think we know the answer he would not sell be selling macs anymore and he could not make as much money from the app store

5. @bunwellian I imagine the same place as I just got the same result - XE.com or by using Google with "499 usd in gbp" showing £337 and £339 respectively.

4. Where does cheysuli get his pricing from? In the U.S. the basic iPad is @$499 before sales tax. In the UK it will be roughly £429 / 1.175 = £365 or roughly $539. That is a difference of $40 or about £27.

1. Since the basic iPad is $500 (roughly £340) what do WE get for the extra £90 other than a raw deal?
