Apple launched a new 64GB model iPod touch earlier this month, although one thing that was conspicuous by its absence from Apple's new PMP was the addition of a video camera.
What made the lack of video-camera add-on even more bizarre for many was the fact that Apple's new iPod nano range did get a basic video-camera added in.
MacRumors reports that earlier leaked, pre-release pictures of the new iPod touch that did show a camera on the device were actually the real thing, and not a 'Photoshop job' as many suspected.
Camera mystery
"While there has been an ongoing belief that Apple was indeed planning a camera module in the latest iPod touch, one reader has found the most convincing proof when comparing the iFixit teardown of the new iPod touch with the previously leaked images of an iPod touch with camera," notes MacRumours.
The evidence seems to point to the fact that the camera was originally there and then was removed prior to the official iPod touch announcement on 9/9/09.
TechRadar imagines that Apple will add a video camera to the iPod touch pretty soon, although as ever, Apple is remained tight-lipped on the matter. For now it wants to concentrate on promoting the gaming capabilities of its new third-gen iPod touch.
When quizzed on the non-appearance of a camera-equipped iPod touch last week, an Apple rep merely swerved the question and told us that the focus for this Christmas holiday season was squarely on selling as many video-capable iPod nanos and (non video-capable) reduced-price iPod touches as possible.
Head over to iFixit for the fully-detailed iFixit breakdown of the innards of the new Apple iPod touch.

10. "All the best wishes for the future. Once you are your old self again, perhaps we can have a reasonable discussion. Until then good luck."
You haven't "discussed" anything. You looked in on an article about the ipod touch, and told us all you don't like Microsoft and PCs. And you say I have a problem?. All you've done is hand out insults, assume I'm American for some reason, and get "famous English expressions", wrong. You haven't even mentioned the ipod touch in question. You say yourself "we all have our own opinion", but what is your opinion about the touch? We don't know because you haven't added to the "discussion". You've just gone on a rant because somebody wrote "fanboy" in their post.

9. lovlid, I'm so very very sorry. You seem to have a problem, and I wouldn't like to cause you any further stress.
Your medication isn't working.
We all have our own opinion.
You have yours, I have mine.
All the best wishes for the future. Once you are your old self again, perhaps we can have a reasonable discussion. Until then good luck.
I am quite content with my iMac, you are, well, 'different'.
Contact the site when you feel better, and when the tablets start working. I have better things to do with my computer.......

7. "The expression I used is a very famous English expression. It means if you don't like something- stop whinging."
No it doesn't my dim witted friend, it means "do something about it or stop talking about it" I know this because, get this, I'M ENGLISH.
"You have to wait- like I did."
Thats what the sentence "I think I'll wait for that overpriced touch to come down in price." means. Did you read it properly, or just jump in?
"Oh dear we are sensitive aren't we?"
Not really. I just had a point of view, and I expressed it. I didn't just try to end a discussion with "sorry, you're wrong"

6. Oh dear we are sensitive aren't we?
The expression I used is a very famous English expression. It means if you don't like something- stop whinging.
If you want something and can't have it, wow- isn't that where the US banks got themselves (and others) into a problem? You have to wait- like I did.
Dreadfully sorry to uspet you, lovlid, go and have a lie-down.
As for me? Being ripped-off? Sorry, you're wrong.
You obviously have a problem. Calm down!

5. "You don't like Apple? then don't buy it."
First things first, I CAN'T buy Apple, I haven't got the money to buy such a big company. Secondly, I never said I don't like Apple, I have an ipod classic, the best thing they've ever made. I would have a touch if they weren't so overpriced. What I don't like is the way they trickle feed technology into their products, and expect everybody to rush out and buy them. I mean, come on, a ten year old (or more?) video camera shoved into a nano??? Big Whoop.
What makes it worse is the rubbish they spout when the fans ask for more. For example, Why didn't the new iphone get a camera with a decent resolution to rival nokia and samsung et al?. Their excuse? SIZE limitations. If thats not a steaming pile, I don't what is. Other companies have done it with smaller phones. All this means only one thing, their pants are on fire, and they think we're all too dumb to notice. So Mr fanboy, if you like being ripped off, then good for you, but me? I think I'll wait for that overpriced touch to come down in price.
"So, those that don't like it- put up, or shut up!"
Doesn't make sense, put what up????
