(Image credit: Apple / Sony / Future Publishing)

Black Friday headphones deals may be winding down but there are still plenty available in the run-up to Cyber Monday. There are major discounts on headphones from all the major brands, including the likes of Sony, Beats, AirPods, Bose and JBL. Some of the prices we're seeing are record lows, so there definitely some bone fide bargains happening.

Some of the headphones deals we're seeing rank among the top Black Friday deals so far and could remain part of the best Cyber Monday deals if stocks last. They include the Sony WH-1000XM5 for their lowest price of $328 at Amazon, while their more affordable sibling, the Sony WH-CH720N, is just $98 at Amazon. In earbuds, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 for just $169 at Walmart is the hot deal right now.

We’ve been tracking these headphones deals all year, so we’ll also tell you whether what you're seeing is really a killer price cut, or whether there have been better deals this year so something isn't quite the amazing offer it appears to be. Oh, and don’t forget to check our guide to Black Friday earbuds deals if you just want to see those.

Best Black Friday headphones deals in the US

Sony WH-1000XM5: $399$328 at Amazon

Sony WH-1000XM5: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2Fdp%2FB09XS7JWHH%3Fth%3D1%26tag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">was $399 now $328 at Amazon
Quite simply the newest and best in Sony's class-leading wireless over-ear lineup. The older XM4 was outstanding, the XM3 before it was excellent, and it'll come as little surprise to know that Sony's XM5 proposition is also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a whopping 18% off, equalling their lowest ever seen price! They don't fold up like the XM4, but they are some of the <a href="https://www.techradar.com/news/audio/portable-audio/best-noise-cancelling-headphones-1280490" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">best noise-cancelling headphones money can buy from a trusted retailer – at their lowest-seen price.

Sony WH-CH720N:$149.99$98 at Amazon

Sony WH-CH720N: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FSony-WH-CH720N-Canceling-Headphones-Microphone%2Fdp%2FB0BS74M665%2Fref%3Dsr_1_3%3Fcrid%3D3S0SYH5BENS3G%26keywords%3Dsony%252Bwch710n%26qid%3D1700234094%26sprefix%3DSony%252BWC%252Caps%252C177%26sr%3D8-3%26th%3D1%26tag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">was $149.99 now $98 at Amazon
These are great-sounding, comfortable, long-lasting, noise-cancelling headphones for the price – and this 35%-off saving is the cheapest they've ever been! In our review, we loved the detail and balance of the audio, and though it feels a little restrained compared to higher-end headphones, that's no problem considering the price. You won't find better quality under $100, in our experience.

Beats Studio Pro: $349 $169.99 at Amazon

Beats Studio Pro: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FBeats-Studio-Pro-Personalized-Compatibility%2Fdp%2FB0C8PT7DF5%2F%3F_encoding%3DUTF8%26pd_rd_w%3Di2Vzd%26content-id%3Damzn1.sym.236adc35-a3d0-47e5-a4f9-ee1f20f6f1be%26pf_rd_p%3D236adc35-a3d0-47e5-a4f9-ee1f20f6f1be%26pf_rd_r%3D8VRYJBQ17KBQDVCAENXH%26pd_rd_wg%3DzVKuQ%26pd_rd_r%3De31fb324-0fc6-42ff-bba4-65d21bc03a08%26ref_%3Dpd_gw_deals_gf_deal_template%26tag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">was $349 now $169.99 at Amazon
This massive saving makes Beats' newest, July 2023 over-ears a whopping 51% cheaper than they were at launch – a return to their lowest-seen price during Amazon's Prime Day event. They're gorgeous looking, easy to use and the sound is good, (read about it in our <a href="https://www.techradar.com/audio/headphones/beats-studio-pro-review-stylish-but-not-exceptional" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">Beats Studio Pro review) so if the lack of multipoint and wearer detection doesn't bother you, this is a solid deal.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones:$429$379 at Amazon

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FBose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Cancelling-Headphones%2Fdp%2FB0CCZ1L489%3Fth%3D1%26tag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">was $429 now $379 at Amazon
These headphones sound just incredible, delivering Bose's best-ever detail, balance and expansiveness – and they have the strongly noise cancellation we've ever heard too. They also deliver other features, such as spatial audio, app customization, multi-point connectivity and more. They're expensive, but they're worth it – and they were only released in October, so any discount this soon is nice.

Sennheiser Momentum 4: $379 $259.95 at Amazon

Sennheiser Momentum 4: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FSennheiser-Momentum-Wireless-Headphones-Crystal-Clear%2Fdp%2FB0B6GHW1SX%2F%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">was $379 now $259.95 at Amazon
Sennheiser's fourth generation wireless over-ear cans are excellent – just see our <a href="https://www.techradar.com/reviews/sennheiser-momentum-4-wireless" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">five-star review of the product to see why. Now, for a whopping $120 off, you can get excellent active noise-cancellation, a suite of impressive features plus admirable sound and call quality. They’re also light and comfortable – and the 60-hour battery is just another way in which they're unbeatable at the level. At this 32% off price, they're exceptionally tempting – although they've very briefly dropped to $245 in September on Amazon so, you never know…

JBL Tune 660NC:$99$49.95 at Amazon

JBL Tune 660NC: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FJBL-Tune-660NC-Ear-Cancellation%2Fdp%2FB08WNBYQC9%2F%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">was $99 now $49.95 at Amazon
Looking for cheap but decent-quality active noise cancellation? These on-ear headphones can help you out. This is the joint-cheapest they've ever been. We wouldn't be surprised to see another $10-$15 come off over Black Friday because they've now been replaced by a newer version, but equally we wouldn't look this deal gift horse in the mouth.

JBL Tune 760NC:$129$64.95 at Amazon

JBL Tune 760NC: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FJBL-Tune-760NC-Lightweight-Cancellation%2Fdp%2FB094YV1S9T%2Fref%3Dsr_1_3%3Fcrid%3D32IVJLE0OHD7V%26keywords%3DJBL%252BTune%252B760%26qid%3D1700234179%26sprefix%3Djbl%252Btune%252B760%252Caps%252C175%26sr%3D8-3%26th%3D1%26tag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">was $129 now $64.95 at Amazon
The bigger sibling of the 660NC above, these offer more comfortable over-ear fit, which also helps to improve their active noise cancellation powers, and sound quality. This half-price deal matches the cheapest these headphones have ever been, and they're definitely incredible value at under $65.

Apple AirPods Pro 2: $249 $169 at Walmart

Apple AirPods Pro 2: <a href="https://goto.walmart.com/c/1943169/565706/9383?subId1=hawk-custom-tracking&sharedId=hawk&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.walmart.com%2Fip%2FApple-AirPods-Pro-2nd-Generation-Lightning%2F1752657021" data-link-merchant="walmart.com"">was $249 now $169 at Walmart
This $80-off price cut at Walmart sees Apple's newest and Pro-suffixed AirPods drop to $20 cheaper than we've ever seen them. Take note: the case is the slightly older Lightning connector variant, rather than the updated USB-C version. But if that doesn't bother you (and they're identical in almost every other way), this is the deal to get for Apple users.

AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C: <a href="https://shop-links.co/link?skuId=6447382&publisher_slug=future&exclusive=1&u1=hawk-custom-tracking&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bestbuy.com%2Fsite%2Fapple-airpods-pro-2nd-generation-with-magsafe-case-usbc-white%2F6447382.p%3FskuId%3D6447382&article_name=hawk-article-name&article_url=hawk-article-url" data-link-merchant="bestbuy.com"" data-link-merchant="walmart.com"">was $249.99 now $189.99 at Best Buy

Sony WF-C700N:$119$89.99 at Best Buy

Sony WF-C700N: <a href="https://shop-links.co/link?skuId=6538256&publisher_slug=future&exclusive=1&u1=hawk-custom-tracking&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bestbuy.com%2Fsite%2Fsony-wf-c700n-truly-wireless-noise-canceling-in-ear-headphones-black%2F6538256.p%3FskuId%3D6538256&article_name=hawk-article-name&article_url=hawk-article-url" data-link-merchant="bestbuy.com"">was $119 now $89.99 at Best Buy
Five-star earbuds for under $90? You better believe it. We absolutely loved the audio quality of these comfortable, lightweight buds, and were impressed by the features and app control. This is the cheapest we've seen these buds, and we'd be surprised if they go any cheaper on Black Friday (but nothing's impossible).

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II:$279$199 at Amazon

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FBose-QuietComfort-Cancelling-Personalized-Cancellation%2Fdp%2FB0B4PSQHD5%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">was $279 now $199 at Amazon
If you want the best noise-blocking power you can get for the price, these deliver it. They also sound superb, and have a ton of useful smart features. But the headline is the noise cancellation, and you can't get better for under $200. Actually, you basically can't get better, period. Oh, and this is the cheapest they've ever been – we'd be surprised if they go any lower.

Beats Studio Buds: $149.95 $99.95 at Amazon.com

Beats Studio Buds: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FBeats-Studio-Cancelling-Earbuds-Built-Bluetooth-Headphones%2Fdp%2FB096SV8SJG%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"" target="_blank">was $149.95 now $99.95 at Amazon.com
The <a href="https://www.techradar.com/reviews/beats-studio-buds-review" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="Amazon US"">Beats Studio Buds are the best Beats earbuds you can buy, and Amazon now has the earbuds down to $99.95 – just $10 more than the record-low price. You're getting Active Noise Cancelling technology, a comfortable fit, and decent audio performance. Compared to Apple's AirPods Pro 2 (which are regularly priced at $234), this deal is a great alternative for premium earbuds under $100.

Sony WH-1000XM4: £350 £197.99 at Amazon

This is their lowest price yet – which dropped on November 16! Let's face it, out of all the new headphones available today, these are an excellent set of wireless cans – and although the newer XM5s sound just that tiny bit better, it's a closely run race. These hugely popular over-ear headphones are sonically gifted, boast excellent ANC and, unlike their younger siblings, fold up for easier transportation in their included travel case…

Sony WH-CH520: £60 £34 at Amazon

This massive 42% saving on their February 2023 launch price is a the biggest discount yet on what we called "some of the best cheap headphones you can buy" – see our glowing <a href="https://www.techradar.com/reviews/sony-wh-ch520" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">Sony WH-CH520 review for clarification. They've briefly dipped to just under £40 before today, in August, but this knocks that price clean out of the park, doesn't it?

Bose QuietComfort 45 SE:£249£189 at John Lewis

Bose QuietComfort 45 SE: <a href="https://john-lewis-and-partners.pxf.io/c/221109/871855/12148?subId1=hawk-custom-tracking&sharedId=hawk&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.johnlewis.com%2Fbose-quietcomfort-qc45-se-noise-cancelling-over-ear-wireless-bluetooth-headphones-with-mic-remote-black%2Fp109619791" data-link-merchant="johnlewis.com"">was £249 now £189 at John Lewis
These headphones are essentially identical to the regular Bose QuietComfort 45, but they come with a soft case instead of a hard case. That makes them damn good headphones, especially for this price, though this 'SE' version has been £10 cheaper in the past, so you may want to consider waiting. (The cheapest that the regular QC45 headphones have fallen to is £189.)

Sony WH-1000XM5: £380£279 at Amazon

Quite simply the newest and best in Sony's class-leading wireless over-ear lineup. The older XM4 was outstanding, the XM3 before it was excellent, and it'll come as little surprise to know that Sony's XM5 proposition is also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a whopping £100 off, aka a return to their lowest ever seen price! We were very impressed by these headphones <a href="https://www.techradar.com/JBL-Tune-770NC-review" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="currys.co.uk"">in our review, where we praised the noise cancellation, lightweight build and battery life. With 30% off, they're even better value – and are surely the best way of stopping outside noise at this price. This is the first time these have ever been discounted, and we'd be surprised if they get any cheaper.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones:£449£399 at Amazon

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2FBose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Cancelling-Headphones-Black%2Fdp%2FB0CCZ1L489%3Fth%3D1%26tag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">was £449 now £399 at Amazon
These headphones offer simply fantastic sound, cramming in more detail, dynamic range and energy than we've ever heard from Bose, along with the company's best-ever noise cancellation. They're high-priced, but they feel and sound premium, and come with great extra features, including spatial audio. They only came out in October, so while this isn't a huge discount, any price cut is good!

Beats Studio Pro: £349.99 £279 at Amazon

Beats Studio Pro: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2FBeats-Studio-Pro-Personalised-Compatibility%2Fdp%2FB0C95J98LV%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"" target="_blank">was £349.99 now £279 at Amazon
This isn't as good as a saving as what's on offer in the US, but a 20% discount is much better than nothing, and it brings the price down to the lowest its been since launch. As with all Beats headphones, they look beautiful, and come with great smart features for both Apple devices and Android. In our review, we praised their sound quality and ease of use when it came to features like personalized spatial audio.

Focal Bathys: £699 £599 at Peter Tyson

Focal Bathys: <a href="https://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?awinmid=38326&awinaffid=103504&clickref=hawk-custom-tracking&p=https%3A%2F%2Fpetertyson.co.uk%2Ffocal-bathys-headphones%3FSGS%26campaignid%3D17602358560%26adgroupid%3D%26keyword%3D%26device%3Dc%26gad_source%3D1%26gclid%3DCj0KCQiAmNeqBhD4ARIsADsYfTdjBYQKTUrdD3W0cUGwVIDJWRMzLJNXUlBZDJUG4RtMaFA6C3sOxMAaAlGREALw_wcB" data-link-merchant="petertyson.co.uk"">was £699 now £599 at Peter Tyson
These might just be the most beautiful headphones we've ever seen – note the glowing backlit flame on each ear cup – and not only do they offer active noise cancellation (in both ‘silent’ and ‘soft’ modes) which you can adjust to your taste via the in-app EQ settings, they also include a 24-bit USB-C DAC mode, so no standalone option required to get better sound from your laptop or iPhone 15, say. Battery life is 30 hours and you're getting Focal's patented driver tech plus Bluetooth 5.1 with both aptX and aptX Adaptive support. They very briefly dropped to £549 once before, but that was a serious flash in the pan. Our advice? It's a serious saving on seriously good headphones.

These comfortable, portable and effortlessly chic wireless planar magnetic headphones with aptX Adaptive, aptX HD and regular aptX are in the Black Friday Amazon sale, from November 17 - 27. Edifier's latest proprietary planar magnetic technology, using 89mm x 70mm planar magnetic driver units, offers a frequency response of 20Hz~40KHz and some of the most accurate, crisp, meaningful sound reproduction of any of the best wireless headphones at the price. Sony WF-C700N earbuds:£99£74.99 at Amazon

Sony WF-C700N earbuds: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB0BXM3ZFKC%3Fth%3D1%26tag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">was £99 now £74.99 at Amazon
Simply the best cheaper noise-cancelling earbuds you can buy – that's what I said in my <a href="https://www.techradar.com/reviews/sony-wf-c700n" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">five-star review of these April 2023-release earbuds. And I stick by it too. They're lovely and small, they're comfortable, and although you don't get on-ear volume control or Sony's higher-res LDAC support, they've never seen a discount like this before – which is a whopping 24% off the asking price. They briefly dropped to £75.99 for Prime Day earlier in the year, so this deal means an extra pound stays in your pocket. Tidy.

JLab Go Air Pop: £24.99 £17.99 at Amazon

JLab Go Air Pop: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB09HN594TL%3Fth%3D1%26tag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"">was £24.99 now £17.99 at Amazon
Before we get carried away, the JLab Go Air Pop are not the last word in sonic brilliance. But they also aren't half bad – in fact they're alarmingly good for their lowly asking fee. If this is truly where your budget maxes out, you'll get reliable Bluetooth connectivity, killer battery life, comfortable and light earpieces and solid music on the go. It would be churlish to expect more – and this deal (which applies to various colorways) is a whole £2 cheaper than we've ever seen them.

Sony WF-1000XM5:£259£219 at Amazon

Black Friday might officially be on November 24 this year, but Black Friday is more of a season than a day, so deals are expected to continue to be available all the way through to Cyber Monday and beyond to December. Be sure to check out our roundup of the best Cyber Monday deals for the latest.

Where can I find the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday headphones deals?

Short answer: right here! We'll also collect all the best Cyber Monday headphones deals as we find them and on our overall best Cyber Monday deals page, so keep these pages bookmarked for quick access.

In the US, stores such as Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart have offered the best discounts – these all have stellar track records when it comes to the lowest prices on headphones, especially AirPods and Sony. It's a similar situation in the UK too, where we’d suggest keeping a close eye on our Amazon, Currys and AO deals coverage.

What about going direct to the likes of Apple or Bose? We wouldn't. Neither is a firm supporter of Black Friday traditionally. The best Apple Black Friday deals aren’t ever available on Apple’s own store if what you want is a straight discount, although the tech giant is known to offer gift cards or free Apple Music for a time when you purchase select devices. You can also check the latest Apple promo codes and Bose coupon codes for any extra discounts that are available.

What Black Friday headphones deals have we seen in 2023?

Let’s start with Black Friday AirPods deals, since these are so popular. We saw some really juicy deals on AirPods Pro 2, at $20 cheaper than we've ever seen them, because the older Lightning-connected model is now been superseded by the new USB-C model.

But the audio specification of the two is the same, it's a stone-cold bargain. We've also seen some record lows on the AirPods 3, which are in line to be replaced next year with a USB-C version too.

AirPods Max is an interesting one – again, we suspect a new version will come next year, so record-matching discounts of up to $200 felt likely – but we’ve been surprised by how few discounts on AirPods Max there have been.

Sony is a big player this Black Friday, no question. This year, the company introduced the Sony WH-CH520 and Sony WH-CH720N affordable headphones, plus the wallet-friendly Sony WF-C700N earbuds, and all are great – and have seen excellent discounts. And the same is almost certainly true for the Sony WH-1000XM4, have hit record-low prices this Black Friday, having had big permanent price cuts since the arrival of the Sony WH-1000XM5.

Bose is a tough one. The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are a perennial sales favorite, but we've seen few discounts. However, the Bose QuietComfort 45 and Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II have seen their prices slashed following the introduction of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds

Now, Beats: Beats Studio Buds Plus and the new Beats Studio Pro got some choice Black Friday discounts to keep them competitive, and Beats Fit Pro had brief flash deals.

At the more affordable end of things, JBL always has a big Black Friday presence, and the Live Pro 2 saw a whopping 50% off discount in the US. And for super-cheap earbuds, the Earfun Air Pro 3 and JLab Go Air Pop saw record low prices, with the former dropping to just $9.88 at Walmart. No really!
