4. I do not think the iPhone really needs to be smaller. If it were to have a smaller screen it could become very difficult to accurately "click" on the correct icon or to "type" in the correct letters.
I think that a better camera is pretty much a necessity. 2MP is a little low, though as healeydave said, it does not really need to be much higher for the iPhone's purposes, more important is the introduction of some kind of flash mechanism as currently one simply cannot take photos in low light situations.
I also agree with healeydave on the MMS issue. I have personally never used the feature on any of my previous phones and with mobile e-mail being such a common feature MMS is fast becoming a totally obsolete feature.
An OLED screen would definitely be good and would make for a massive saving on battery power. As long as the technology can be made affordable in the near future I see no reason for all phones in the next couple of years to not use OLED.
3. I still think the iPhone is too big. It may be thin, but the actual size of the thing could surely be reduced. Mr Jobs: it's a phone first and an iPod second.
1. Pretty much agree with you on most things, especially the comments on the Camera's Megapixels on phones not really being necessary although because most people lack the knowledge about this, they just go with bigger is better.
I always show people a 2MP picture (originally taken on the iPhone) on my 24" iMac screen and then ask them why do we need more than 2MP??
Since many people never even get photo's off their camera phones and only view them on a 2" screen or maybe only send them to others with archaic MMS technology, having a 5MP camera on a phone is just wasting storage memory!!
That said though, the iPhone Camera in daylight is great but in low light pretty poor, so it does need updating and Video would be nice!
Oh and whilst I was mentioning MMS, that was the other point I didn't agree with, I personally am not the slightest bit interested in MMS, that technology was fine before we could email full size proper photo's to each other. I think Apple got that absolutely right leaving that technology off the phone, its old and has no place wasting application space on a feature rich modern smart phone, move on people!

2. Yep, I think a nano version will come soon enough, and probably a Project Red version too.
