2. Having just bought an imac for £799, I must say that I agree about the wireless being intuative, having struggled with my PC running XP to get everything talking, the applle was a breeze to set up, my lexmark wireless printer never worked properly on XP was up and running within 20 mins on the mac.
The reason for me changing from years of windoze was the concerns over Vista and its stability...OSX on the other hand seems fast and stable and I don't need silly amounts of RAM to run it.
Finally the apple help sections on their sites UK and US are a simplicity it self to navigate, compared to the morass that is microsoft's help pages...
Note that the iMac comes with wireless too, in addition to Bluetooth 2.0. In terms of price, form & functionality I think the Mac's today compete extremely well. However the comparison has missed the crucial point - the OS ! OSX Leopard & Tiger before it are very user friendly & reliable. In addition their wireless & networking capabilities are extremely intuitive. I started using OSX about 5 years ago & have never looked back. In contrast I need to complete clean installs of MS WIN XP on my daughters PC's every 6 months at least. A real pain.

1. Hardly a definitive comparison ;-)
