1. This news is old and really quite incorrect. The last sentence, "HD DVD Europe spokesman Olivier Van Wynendaele told us back in November that such deals were commonplace" is the only one that matters in this small article. Most everyone that owns an HD DVD player or Blu-ray player knows that you can get certain movies over seas if you really want them, especially with HD DVD that has no region code. So, this is no indication that Paramount is switching to blu-ray, rather it has been a sign of overseas distribution contracts that have been in place for years before the dawn of HD and BD.
