3. Aintitcool is still written by fans - there's no other place Harry Knowles could write such hyperbole and get away with it. It's just that they've let the inside machinations of the movie industry appear on their site, which is definitely not cool. Apparently Harry is writing an explanation this Friday about what's going on. Why it's taking him that long is a bit of a mystery. Maybe he has to get approval from Warners first!
1. Aintitcool's endorsement is all over the latest Hellboy movie, for example. Nothing wrong with that, but it does show how important the site has become to the industry - and vice versa.

6. Ainticool stopped being a guerilla site yonks ago. A lot of its insider info is reported from other sites like Latino Review these days.
The key writers are in their 30s now and have moved on from risk taking 'undergroud' film journalism.
Some of them even pay their mortgages by writing TV scripts.
Hey, life moves on...

It's Gamespot and Kane and Lynch all over again.

2. Interesting...Especially as someone who has never seen the internet as a place for community, as I've just been a random surfer.
I think sometimes people can get too caught up in what a site is, but then again it's a great depiction of what the 21st century is becoming.
