OLED screen production is going to boom, but only in the mobile devices market. So says Samsung Mobile Display, a joint venture between Samsung SDI and Samsung Electronics.
The group is forecasting that half of all high-end portable units (mobile phones, cameras, portable media players, sat navs) will feature OLED touchscreens by 2013.
Samsung Electronics has shown a range of OLED TV prototypes, but has yet to commit to commercial manufacturing.
