7 Days on the internet: Porn lies

Plus, five cruel and funny YouTube videos

Oh, and did we mention Kumo? No?

Well we were going to spend the day looking through Spotify, but seeing as the streaming music site has blanked out all the swear words on our Notorious BIG track rendering it entirely lyric-less we'll get on with 7doti instead.

It's been a hectic week here on TechRadar; not only are we having to maintain our Facebook statuses, Flickr streams, Friend Feeds and Google Calendars, we also set up a collaborative Spotify list and our Tweets are firing up the Digerati everywhere. The internet really is a time saver.

But anyway – we did manage to find some time to write the news.

Perhaps most excitingly we dug out the news that Microsoft's Windows 7 may try to kill off Quicktime by adding Windows Media Player support for .mov files. Now we're fairly obviously massive fans of Apple on the whole, but Quicktime is, frankly, right up their with Realplayer and Acrobat in our list of most hated applications.

It's only about five minutes since we suggested that ITV were quietly trying to flog off Friends Reunited. But, for the social network come family tree tracer, mum is not longer the word (geddit?) – with the broadcaster announcing massive losses and confirming that they are looking for bids. TechRadar will open the bidding at 14 pence and piece of fluff.

Of course, here at 7doti we are totally against any kind of sensationalism, so when we published a PC Plus article that said the internet could die in ten days on Monday, we marked the predicted date down in our diaries. And guess what – it's Friday the 13th. Mwa ha ha ha.

Ahem. Staying on headline that don't in any way make a mountain out of a molehill, we also told you that the MOD wouldn't declare war on Google Maps. Which, before you write in, is a FACT.

Quote of the week

"I ask by a show of hands how many people access adult entertainment and sites," web stats guru Bill Tancer told us. "Out of thousands of people I've only ever got one person raise his hand and that was the sound guy at one of conferences I was doing… clearly someone's lying."

Five cruel but funny videos

Guy thinks he's won half a million, before having it plucked away from us

This scaredy-cat of a dog can't get out of a wall of empty drinks cans.

Charlie bit my finger. One of the all-time YouTube greats.

This boy is really focused on the maze.

A good reason not to prank call your wife.

1. "Charlie bit my finger" is one of the greats? Yep, that's why I never bother with Youtube.
