The HTC Rezound offered clear calls in our testing, and we had no trouble connecting over Verizon's 4G network from a variety of locations in San Francisco and surrounding areas.
Unfortunately, the included Beats headphones don't include an mic for use as a headset, but the Rezound supports Bluetooth, and features a noise-canceling mic for clearer calls.
HTC's People app works well at managing your various contacts, and the live search makes it easy to find that certain someone amongst all your phonebook, Twitter and Facebook contacts.
It's simple to exclude certain groups from your contact list (useful if you friend anyone and everyone you ever meet on Facebook), or combine multiple entries for the same person into a single contact.
But the best contact feature by far is the widget, which allows you to pin a group of frequently-used contacts to one of your Home pages, and quickly call or message them, and see their most recent social network postings at a glance.
